We were allocated room 6 by the operator.
1. Room 6 is a converted living room and not a bed room. We ere misguided
2. The room sits on the road and very noisy
3. The bed frames were rickety and felt unsafe. I had to sleep on the floor
4. The mattresses were old and the springs poked beneath your body
5. Very poor ventilation.  The non English speaking housekeeper finally provided a fan. But that barely helped. No AC
6. Operator refused to change the room
7. Very difficult for family due to lack of privacy
8. Housekeeper barged into the room before the scheduled check out time of 10:00 AM
9. No clothes hanger, armoire  in the room. Operator insisted on providing a old coat hangar on second day of stay
10. Extremely hard time and bad sleep

This is a sleazebag operation that ought to be audited by proper authorities.  I don't know whether it is booking.com or the operator- they have grossly misrepresented facts.

In the US the room would be about $40.00 a night

2 almost horrendous nights

While the whole place is spotless and welcoming, the owners left a dude that can't speak a word of English in charge which is fine if you don't have any issues you need sorted or an emergency.

Also, breakfast is not free, it's in the title of the accommodation- Bed and Breakfast and, considering the amount that youre charged to stay here, you'd expect a cooked breakfast?

A decent place to rest your head but the owners need to do a bit of research into what a B+B actually is.

Decent place to rest but some issues

All the excellent reviews are from quite a long time ago. Things seem to have changed since then. The photos of the breakfasts on tripadvisor for example, bear no resemblance to the recent breakfast experience, which is poor considering the prices charged. For example, a jar of nescafe and a flask of hot water on a side table is no substitute for a decent cup of coffee. Sadly It's no longer like the website depicts it or how the old reviews describe it. Rooms tiny, airlesss and tired. The bedlinen and towels were clean but smelled of really cheap washing powder. The towels left that smell on you. This may have been a great little guest house once, but now, unless you can find nothing else, it should be avoided.

Not the place it was

Three for cleanliness.
Two for not being able to communicate with the lovely man who greeted us,which was solved with a phone call but a little worrying if any problems were to arise during our night’s stay !
Two for the size of our room,which, on their site pics looks reasonably big really,quite smart and as I say clean but too small and airless.
Three for the spartan but clean dining room,but, two for the actual meal, which we had to “order” on a whiteboard the night before with the lovely chap that we couldn’t converse with ,and there were some issues.
I feel bad for our housekeeper as he was very helpful but we could not converse and I didn’t even know his name. 
Some accurate information both online and in the Tanera might have made a difference !

A bit disappointing

Pros

1) Close to the city center
2) Clean room, clean bed sheets
3) Good coffee
4) Kind owners

Cons

1) I stayed in the economy double room. On booking.com, it's not stated that this room has an external private toilet. The external toilet is under the stairs in the main hallway and is quite claustrophobic 

2) I couldn't connect to the wifi using the password hung on the wall. I used my mobile data instead

3) The bed was comfy but the part of the bed against the wall made noise all night long when I moved in the bed

4) The outside of the main entrance was pretty dark. Owners should illuminate it for latecomers

5) The breakfast was pretty average. No hot meals. Mainly sugary processed supermarket things

Will I stay again? Probably no.

There are better guest houses

Excellent all round.. Five Star.service.and very near to Inverness city centre. Ideal for shopping in the City and easy access to A9 for sightseeing. Lovely walks along the River Ness. We are both Senior Citizens and could not fault the location

Tanera is very central

Clean and comfortable room. We had a little booklet in our room with tourist attractions and restaurants/pubs suggestions. The breakfast was great, the shower was great, the hosts absolutely brilliant! We loved staying here. The only thing I cold mention is that the wi-fi did not work very well, but apart from that, PERFECT.

AMAZING

Booked for three nights but unfortunately had to rush home after two, have to say this is a lovely , immaculate bed and breakfast at a great price. Comfy beds, good conti breakfast and very pleasant hosts! Highly recommend!

Superb.

Tanera B&B was absolutely fabulous. The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast and hospitality was exceptional. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Inverness and would definitely stay again if I return to the UK.

Fantastic B&B in Inverness with a superb Host

Tanera may be one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in. The location is excellent. So much of Inverness is within walking distance, including a lovely walk along the River Ness, which introduces nature right into the middle of the city. My room was pristine, and the shower was good and hot for as long as I wanted it to be. Naomi is a terrific ambassador for Inverness, full of knowledge and enthusiasm. I loved this place.
