Fantastic stay. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. Very hospitable managers. Lovely clean room and fantastic breakfast. We definitely recommend. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave as felt so comfortable. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely rebook.

This was a highlight for us and I will plan to return on our next visit to Inverness. Comfy and quite cozy, our warm surroundings and superb staff made this stop delightful. The breakfast was second to none!

Excellent B&B!!

Very welcoming staff. Very clean and welcoming place, room was very very comfortable it had all we needed with complimentary snacks and buscuits it was so great. Shower room very clean and the shower was super.

Short but excelent stay

Just to preface this review, prior to booking we read the reviews of which some are distinctly negative. I have to say this in no way reflects on the actual quality of stay at the business and wanted to put a fair voice across.

For one, bookingdotcom and TripAdvisor both list this business as a B&B which suggests breakfast is included in the room price; it's not, it's an optional extra (and worth it) and furthermore all literature / signage at the location make this clear. It is not advertised on location as a B&B but simply 'Sandy's'. Similar story with checking in times - though is is a narrow window it is made abundantly clear and not an issue if you read ahead and make sure this suits. Simple. 

Bookingdotcom also took the full sum for our stay immediately upon booking despite listing the room as 'reserve - pay cash at property'. Just bad communication on bookingdotcom's part and not in the business's hands.

As I say I reiterate the above to contend with some of the negative comments and put across a fair picture of the business itself which is what reviews are for.

As to our stay, we booked to attend an evening event in Inverness and simply needed a place to stay for the night to save us a late trip home. The location is perfect for this: very close to city centre and easily found. Only parking is on street but we had no problem finding a space. 

We had booked to check in between 4pm and 5pm and duly arrived just after 4pm. Check in seemed a little rushed and lacklustre as Jason was also checking in customers at the sister business just up the street (might be advisable to have a person at each property, especially when the check-in window is as narrow as it is).

The room was pleasant and clean. Plenty of extra treats above and beyond the usual 'two teabags and broken biscuits'(!). Crisps, sweets, shortbread and lots of hot drinks provided in the room as well as ample toiletries in the bathroom. Large wall mounted tv and convenient wardrobe. Comfy bed and no issues with noise overnight.

Breakfast in the morning (paid cash on arrival) was lovely, huge choice of yoghurts, fresh fruit, pastries etc, with a very friendly Scott (proprieter) on hand for cooked items. Above and beyond again! A very pleasant start to the morning.

In conclusion, a lovely place to stay but severely let down by bookingdotcom. Would be happy to return but will be booking direct with the business this time.

A good place to stay - let down by bookingdotcom

This nice B&B is located a short walking distance from the center of Inverness.

The rooms are simple, yet cozy and offer all the necessary basic amenities.

The breakfast (costs £7.5 per person) is great. You're offered a wide choice of servings, with many of them prepared on the spot, according to your taste and preferences.

The owner, Scott, is a very nice fellow, who is a trove of everything in town and outside of it, near and far. And he happily shares his knowledge. 

In short, it's a good B&B with an added value.

When booking, note the small prints regarding time of arrival. This could easily turn into a major issue (involving cancellation and lost fees). You have to come on time, no later than the mentioned deadline.

What can I sandy’s b&b is amazing Scott is brilliant his attention too detail is amazing the rooms are so clean and pristine.His breakfasts are out of this world there is so much choice would highly recommended sandy’s b&b and will be telling everyone I know.
