The hotel was recommended by the hairy cow trip we were on. Arrived pretty late. Check in was easy. Staff were friendly and chatty.  The room was immaculate, beds were comfortable, plenty tea and coffee.Breakfast smelt amazing but we had early starts so didn’t have time. There is a small bakery round the corner that came in handy with some amazing pastries.

Easy check in, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate, beds really comfy and had a good sleep. Didn’t have breakfast as was leaving early but there is a great little bakery just round the corner. The guest house is within walking distance from the Main Street. Definitely stay again if Inverness.

Hairy Coo trip

This guesthouse is a real find. We have stayed in the Ardross Glencairn a few times in the past six months or so, and we love it! Check-in is easy, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are warm and comfortable, well furnished and immaculate, with really good bathrooms.  It is ideally situated for either a night at the theatre or a longer stay to explore what Inverness has to offer. 
We will be back!

A lovely place to stay

One of the best places we have stayed so far on our trip. Easy to find, plenty of parking, really friendly people on the front desk. The room was so comfortable. Great location, close to the water with lots of walking options. Couldn’t fault the stay here.

Super comfortable!

Great place! Easy access to the town, as Inverness is not that big. The guesthouse is located close to Inverness Cathedral, on a quiet street. It was very clean and cozy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, there was no trouble checking in and out, breakfast was good and I got a comfortable room that was just enough for one person.

I had a great stay for two nights while on tour of the highlands and Isle of Skye and I'm not a picky traveler, but if you're more sensitive (for example a light sleeper) and want a luxurious experience, you might want to keep in mind that water takes a little while to get hot and that given the architecture and style of the houses that make up the hotel, you can hear most things in the buildings. If those details bother you, maybe opt for another place. If not, this is a very good choice!

For me it was a pleasant experience and I can definitely recommend this place!

Great stay in Inverness

First time staying at the Ardross Glencairn. It consists of three houses side by side. I was in number 19. From check in to check out everything was great. At check in I asked about recommendations for evening meals and was advised the city centre was only a 10 minute walk and there was a great choice of pubs and restaurants. It was a pleasant walk past the cathedral and riverside to the city centre. The house I stayed in was immaculate and it is obvious that the owners and staff take pride in their premises. I had a single room with double bed and shower which was ideal for myself. Breakfast was served in number 17 . There was an excellent choice for breakfast and although self service there were plenty of pleasant staff cleaning up and replenishing food. Overall an excellent stay and I would have no hesitation based on my experience in recommending this property and feel it deserves a higher rate than the tourist board three stars

An excellent experience

 Check in was great, breakfast was delicious with plenty to eat and the staff wonderful. The room was beautiful, clean and comfy. It's just a short 10 min. walk across the bridge into the main part of town for restaurants and shopping, castle etc. Although the castle was closed for renovations. We would have liked to have stayed longer but we were on a tight holiday schedule. All in all, we would definitely stay again!

Wonderful Stay!

Rooms where clean and spacious. Breakfast was the best we had on our tour of Scotland! Altough walls were so thin we could hear neighbours conversations word for word. Doors had actual physical keys, which is fine, but I would recommend changing the large metal key rings which caused a lot of "clonking" in the corridors which could be heard day and night.

Comfortable and welcoming.
Very clean and easy, free parking. Excellent for access to the city centre. Lots of dining opportunities within walking distance. Good range of choices for breakfast.
Good value and reasonable cost.

Happy Highlander

Beautiful building and location in Inverness. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice but the beds and pillows weren’t terribly comfortable. That being said, we did sleep okay. No hot food in the rooms which meant dining out or picking something up at the Tesco. Not a deal breaker but sometimes after a long day, it’s nice to order in.
