Another person has reviewed the same room that I stayed in that was not suitable as renting out as a Guest room and has added photos. I paid £70 a night and have already expressed my complaints to the establishment concerned without any attempt to at least part remedy my inconveniences.
Single room contains an open cubicle with toilet pan at end of bed. No chair apart from bar stool.  Lamp far out of reach of bed on windowsill.  Lots of little flies around sink and bar stool.  Breakfast was fine and also a nice sitting room.  As I was unable to access my room till very late at night there was not much I could do but make the best of it.  Tried to book in around 3.30pm and saw no one belonging to Moyness and then again it was through phone number on the door I was able to access my room after 9pm.  When I enquired by phone re single room and price I asked if I could book online and was told that someone would phone re my card details.  Someone did and the money was taken if my bank account immediately.  The room isn’t shown on their website and I take it that why I could not pay for it there. Really so disappointed and would not recommend their services to anyone after my experiences with them. The review option for their website was also removed after I complained.

Very unsatisfactory single room

Our host, John, is an amazing and awesome host.  John is super friendly and provides great advice on restaurants and sights to visit.  The rooms are super clean and well appointed.  Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend for a very enjoyable stay in Inverness. When staying, ask John what scotch he enjoys.

Had a wonderful stay at Moyness for a work trip and truly look forward to staying again. 

"Big Bad John", our host, was spectacular: so friendly and helpful, full of advice for adventures in and around Inverness and took brilliant care of us, including a wonderful breakfast. 

The rooms were so clean and comfortable and it is a brilliant location, less than 10 mins walk from the middle of town.

10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic!

A wonderful Caithness welcome, comfortable bed and lovely quiet room. Excellent breakfast and the accommodation is so close to everything, ideal for a theatre or shopping trip. Highly recommended - we had a wonderful relaxing break. Thank you John and ream

A Wonderful Highland Welcome

house is beautiful !! room was super comfy i slept like a baby !! bathroom was clean & well decorated, breakfast was amazing !! ps you could probably skip lunch with such a big breakfast john & the young lady who works for him are exellent hosts. as a seasoned traveler in the highlands i would have no hesitation in recommending this guesthouse.

highland magic !!

Excellent and well-appointed guest house. The river and the center of town are very walkable. Breakfast was made to order and really delicious. The bathrooms and especially the shower are very small but clean. Highly recommend!

Warm and welcoming home and rooms

The Moyness House is just 2-3 blocks off the main tourist section of Inverness so well situated for walking to the river and all the restaurants and shops. There is on site parking for each room so that was convenient for us as we were driving throughout Scotland. The host was inviting and friendly as were the wait staff who served us our breakfasts. Breakfast options were good and the food was tasty and of sufficient quantity. Exceptional coffee!! The rooms, however, were quite small and the bathroom in our room was tiny, barely enough room for 1 person and the shower had barely sufficient room in which to turn around.

Great location small rooms with even smaller bathrooms

A great place to start our NC500 trip. Room wasn't that big but was adequate for our requirements. We were up a set of stairs which was no problem for us but may be tricky for some people to get their luggage up. The breakfast was excellent - the nicest granola/yogurt/fruit mix I had in my whole trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner, John, recommended places to try for our evening meal.

a great place

My wife and I stayed at Moyness House for a couple of days in early September. Unfortunately we got off to a bad start when John, the host, admonished my wife for failing to put the hidden key back in the umbrella stand. He didn’t seem to realize that had he simply greeted us and opened the front door my wife wouldn’t have had to dig through an umbrella stand in the first place. John then took us to our room where he seemed to want to test our recall of his short tutorial on the plumbing issues with the toilet. It was a bad way to start. Ok, that aside John is a pleasant guy and we did arrive 5 minutes before guest opening at 4:00pm

The room was clean and well appointed. The toilet required several flushes to do its work and the shower didn’t drain very well (so my wife couldn’t wash her hair). The food was good and the service friendly but the dining room was crowded and a bit disorganized. 

The location is a short walk away from downtown Inverness and is quite convenient to restaurants and coffee shops. Overall Moyness House is a fine place, just a bit disappointing based on our recent experience with other 4-star properties.

One of if not the best B&B I have stayed in (and I have stayed in many)
Excellent location for easy walk into Inverness City. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, comfy bed, fabulous en-suite, excellent breakfast and a fabulous host, John and his team who made our stay enjoyable. 
Will definitely be back.
