Very nice stay in Kendal. This was our second stay here.
Our room was clean and tidy. We requested additional pillows and these were swiftly brought to us.Breakfast was very good. We ate out for our other meals.
We came during school holidays and got some great advice from Christine in reception about what to do and where to eat in the Lakes and Kendal.
We visited Windermere and Ambleside. We had the car but were advised of decent bus service from nearby bus station. 
We went up the castle (bit muddy🤣) and we also went to the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.

Overall, it was a very nice stay for just a few days. It was clean, comfy, and the staff were very kind and helpful. There was a little muck up with early check in, where we got given a wrong room and had to wait 10-20 mins, but it was sorted as quickly as possible, and the staff was very apologetic. If I had stayed longer than two nights, I think I would have had to complain though. As the room above me had constant banging, so I'm not sure if it was a family with several kids running around. But as I was only staying for a short amount of time, I just sucked it up and dealt with it. But I'm sure if I did complain about the noise, the staff would have sorted it for sure!

Very Lovely

The hotel itself is pleasant enough. It's quiet and pretty standard for this kind of chain hotel. TV in the room didn't work and the reception staff in the morning were unapologetic, the woman on reception just said there was a problem with the signal. Honestly I wouldn't have stayed there if I knew beforehand. Paying for what was supposed to be a premium room and then the facilities not being up to scratch was extremely annoying.

Not the greatest stay.

The worst PremierInn experiences I have had. 
When we arrived in our room we noticed that we didn’t have any toilet roll, so I had to go to the desk and ask for some, which was inconvenient given our recent arrival.
The lack of amenities in the room continued throughout the stay. We had no extra pillows, 1 towel between the two of us and there was a light bulb missing from the side lamp. This meant that I had to visit the desk at least 3 times during 2 days.

This was only the start of my concerns, me and my boyfriend were attempting to use your free WiFi which did not work. As a result, he went to the front desk to purchase the ultimate WiFi which was £5 there was no improvement from the free WiFi. I have attached pictures that continued to come up when trying your connect to the ultimate WiFi.

Finally, I noticed that the water in the sink was not going down. I had a look and was disgusted and horrified to see there was a significant amount of hair in the plug. I have attached a picture for you to see, where I had to remove the hair.

We are very disappointed and upset following our stay with Kendal Premier Inn, as reoccurring customers with Premier Inn hotels, we have never had an experience like this before.

I have attempted on many occasions to contact PremierInn through email and on the phone but I have received no response or customer service. I am deeply dissatisfied and disappointed.

No customer service, No response to concerns

December 2023 I cancelled the booking as I found somewhere equally as good, but much cheaper.   We visit Kendal around 6 times a year with a number of friends.  We always stayed at the Premier Inn.   Everything about it has always been fine, staff, rooms, cleanliness and breakfast, especially close to the venue we visit for regular charitable functions. However it has upped its prices and has effectively priced itself out of our market.  It is after all a chain hotel, fine for an overnight stay, but not 4 star accommodation. Look around, there are cheaper and in my opinion, better value places to stay, as my friends and I have discovered.

Victim of covid price rises ?

Nice hotel and friendly staff.   My only issue was the very poor internet, paid for the ultimate but still very sporadic connection.  This is based in on my 6 week stay at this hotel.  Fix the WiFi and I would push 4/5 star.

we stayed for a family wedding so just needed the hotel as a base , the location is great lots of local shops within walking distance , very friendly staff, the rooms were very clean and bed was very comfortable. Very happy with the stay.

Great stay. Modern, newly renovated room comfortable bed and very modern bathroom which was very comfortable. Only downside was the window didn’t open so was very hot getting ready the next morning with the shower etc in the room. Air con is not good

Great place and location

Our stay at the Premier Inn was on the whole an enjoyable one, we stayed for three nights using the meal deal plan. Having never been to the Lake District before we had to rely on the local information available on site, we were not disappointed, the staff were knowledgable and friendly and were happy to help. The evening meals were basic but acceptable and the staff did their best, on the third evening it was much improved, the staff were more professional and coped easily, big shout for Toby behind the bar. Look forward to returning.

It appears the air con has been a problem for weeks and the problem isn't going to be sorted for many more weeks to come. Our room was on top floor (heat rises), add that to the heat coming off the fridge (which couldn't be turned off) which resulted in our room being like a furnace. The window only opened a crack so impossible to cool the room. For a menopausal woman, this was a nightmare.  Was booked in for 2 nights but couldn't endure another night of no sleep so asked for a refund, which was very kindly and professionally expedited by chloe (thank you). Normally I am not picky and hate leaving negative reviews,  but seeing as I'm on a roll here, someone needs to give the downstairs a good hoovering, and mop out the lift as its a disgrace. Other than that the room itself was clean and comfy and the breakfast was the usual good standard. Premier Inn should be have advised its guests in advance.
