A lovely two night stay in October. The owner made us feel very welcome. Situated in a great location with the shops and park on the doorstep and hikes a short walk away. The hotel is modern in appearance and great attention has been given to the essentials. From the very comfy beds with outstanding pillows, the large bathroom with quality shower, local toiletry products that you want to use and a branded coffee machine. Breakfast wasn’t an option but this doesn’t prevent a 5 star review as the family often skips breakfast or feels constrained by the serving times. Will stay here again in the future.

Attention to the essentials

Absolutely perfect!!! Room was perfect, from the cleanliness to just the style of the room and so was the location. Just around the corner from the main street so quiet but quick to access the main street. Owner was lovely and very accommodating considering we were the a few hours before check-in
 We have been staying in keswick every year for the last 30 years and we will definitely be booking rooms 36 from now on❤️

Perfect! 

We had a lovely 4 days in Keswick. Our room was very clean, lovely view and perfect for the two of us plus an active toddler who had space to run around freely! 

We were so close to the lake and all the restaurants and Andy was very helpful in giving tourist advice on where best to go and what to do, as well as being a brilliant host providing whatever we needed. He also had a parking space just outside the property which was perfect. 

Beautiful room, scenery and town!! We will definitely be back again ! Thanks Andy :)

Beautiful Place, Brilliant Stay!

Perfect location between the lake side and the centre of Keswick .  We had room 4 , most comfortable bed and lovely en-suite shower room and nice big room. We could come and go as we wished and anything we needed the owner Andy was happy to help. We enjoyed our stay at Keswick  so much we stayed extra night.

Excellent location

Excellent location for lake, town centre and several excellent walks. Room and whole house was clean, fresh and very well-maintained. Host is most helpful and knowledgeable - can recommend Room36 highly. Keswick is a superb base to see the Lake District.

Andy the owner was very relaxed and approachable and let us into our room early which was much appreciated after a 6 hour drive! The room and ensuite bathroom was lovely, and very clean  with good quality feather stuffed bed linen and every thing that we could need. The view out of the window was gorgeous. The Hotel was perfectly situated, as near as possible to the Lake and a short walk to the town center. 

Laid back, great location. 

We stopped over for one night at Rooms36 in Keswick and felt very fortunate to get a last minute booking.
We have 2 medium sized dogs and received a warm welcome from Andy our host on arrival.

The room was spacious and light with a very comfortable bed and nice bed linen. Very well appointed with a Bosch coffee machine, kettle and iron - a variety of tea and coffee set alongside a tin  of chocolate biscuits. 

Modern bathroom with a vast shower and lashings of hot water ( good pressure too !)

The location is perfect within a stones throw of the town centre but also right on the edge of the park and a ten minute walk to Derwent Water. Nice and quiet but very convenient as a base for everywhere. 

Downstairs the dining room was modern, bright and very clean. Lovely bright white furniture set up beautifully for guests.

Breakfast was sumptuous  and excellently prepared with an excellent menu selection of hot food ( full English/made to order pancakes/ smoked salmon/ kippers/porridge etc) in addition to a continental buffet with numerous fresh fruits, cereals and bread. Andy’s beans were on offer with the hot food and delicious they were too !

Sorry to leave after one night but would certainly recommend and hope to return next trip to The Lakes ! 

Fantastic Accommodation ! 

Just returned from a week stay at Room 36 with the family and dog. Lovely location close to Derwentwater and Keswick town centre. The breakfast was amazing with fresh bread, fruit and a range of cooked options every day. Food tasted great. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable, with great showers and coffee facilities which were topped up daily. Will visit again soon.

Excellent B&B close to Keswick

We stayed for 5 nights in room 5 which is a lovely family room with a super double bed & bunkbeds. We found the room spotlessly clean with lovely decor & good facilities. Andy the owner was great - really helpful & cooked a great breakfast! Altogether a great stay for us & we plan to return next year!

Lovely stay at rooms36

Recently enjoyed 6 nights at this wonderful establishment, Andy was great from the moment we arrived. The rooms are stylish, spacious & very clean, the location couldn't be better, Keswick centre on your doorstep along with Hope park & a very short walk down to the spectacular Derwent water!
Andy's breakfasts are tremendous & his attention to detail makes all the difference, nothing is too much trouble & his knowledge of the area is great.
So glad we found this place & would not hesitate to stay here again as it makes a trip to the beautiful town of Keswick all the more enjoyable.
