we stayed for 4 nights on our way to Scotland. had a lovely  king size room  , very quiet at rear of the property . everywhere was spotless and cleaned everyday and nicely decorated . our hosts Dave and angie were fabulous and very helpful with tips on sightseeing etc . The breakfast was lovely and various things on offer along with the full cumbrian breakfast and the best pot of nice strong tea ever ! Its very conveniently situated for walking to all the restaurants nearby. We had a lovely comfortable stay

Great location. The proprietors were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. The breakfasts were tasty and they were flexible with options and timings when we wanted to head out a bit earlier. Thank you very much, looking forward to returning

Friendly, comfy and knowledgable

Dave and Angie are perfect hosts, their friendly and accommodating attitude is a breath of fresh air. The rooms are very clean and made up daily. The full English breakfast is a brilliant way to start the day along with the friendly conversation with the hosts about the local area (their knowledge is better than Google) I would highly recommend a stay at Claremont House.

Amazing hosts

Just back from a lovely stay where we felt looked after from the time we arrived to the time we left. Dave and Angie were friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable accommodation and nice hot shower. Breakfast was really good and food was hot. Will be booking a return visit.

Absolutely Fabulous

Just got home from Claremont House , staying 3rd to 5th Dec, the hotel was absolutely ideal for what we required. A nice comfortable room with an absolutely amazing breakfast and beautiful charismatic hosts. Dave & Angie were so welcoming and friendly , we will definitely be returning in the new year. The hotel is ideally situated for many restaurants & bars , also 2 cinemas within 5 minutes walk.Parking my car was a doddle using a parking permit provided by the hotel ( & Free).

Relaxing stay at Claremont House , Wonderful Hosts and Superb Breakfast.

We stayed here at the beginning of August as a family of 4. What a lovely place with the most amazing hosts. Dave and Angie were so welcoming, the place was clean and tidy, the breakfasts were yummy and the local knowledge and top tips were fantastic! This was our first stay with them but it honestly felt like we were long lost family ! Walks and places to swim were recommended, stories were told and Dave and Angie just topped off our holiday 😃 we would go back in a heartbeat and will be back at some point. Home from Home

My family stayed for 5 nights and had a very warm welcome from the very friendly hosts Dave and Angie.
A very homely place, rooms are a very good size, clean and comfortable. Ensuites also extremely clean. Tea and coffee facilities well stocked daily.
The breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices and all requests catered for.
Would definitely stay again here and thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful stay at claremont house

A lovely 4 night stay in June 21, the guest house is in a great location, our room was very clean and comfortable, and lots of room. Lovely  shower and fluffy towels. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming  Dave has a wealth of knowledge on the area will give advice on walks , always a lovely discussion during breakfast which was always cooked to perfection, and served by Angie,  you wont go hungry staying here,  and restaurants which are literally across the road were all excellent for an evening meal. We travelled around the Lakes using the local buses which appeared to run on time, and the bus stop is literally 3 minutes walk away. I would highly recommend a stay at Claremont House Guest House

Great Location, Clean, Comfortable and amazing breakfast , wonderful hosts

Absolutely lovely place! I stayed here with my partner and we were so impressed. We felt extremely welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great and there were lots of options. It is in a great location too, which was perfect for walking routes and meals in the evening. We will definitely be back when we visit the lakes again!

Great location and lovely stay!

We stayed at Claremont House for 2 nights with our two young boys, and Dave & Angie couldn't have been more relaxed and welcoming. The family room at the top of the house was perfect, with a double and two single beds. The breakfasts were fantastic, and both boys (who can be a bit fussy) ate a massive three courses, and were made to feel very special each morning. The location is very central, walking distance to everywhere in town. Would really recommend Zegferellis cinema and pizza meal deal for families. Both boys cried when we left the B&B, so we will definitely be back!
