We are from Dubai and Ferndene guest house is an incredible place to stay at with a 5 minute walk to the center of Keswick. The Welcome was amazing with their dog « Billy » being friendly to any guest. The English Breakfast was simply Delightful 😋. The owners really care about their guests and are willing to help with anything you have an issue with. Ziggy and Caroline were simply amazing! Would definitely go again.

A fantastic guest house.. very warm welcome from the owner & his dog Billy, very comfortable on suite room with a great view of the mountains. Breakfast was great value & freshly cooked . Would recommend & would definitely visit again. Very close to town centre.

Wonderful experience

Excellent host and staff.  Beautifully decorated room and very clean. Private parking. Very good breakfast excellent quality ingredients. All freshly cooked, even though you need to preorder the previous evening. We will be definitely better returning later in the year. Only 5 minutes walk to centre of Keswick

We stayed here for 4 nights for a walking/running holiday. Lovely guest house and had no problem parking on site. The breakfast is fabulous with the most amazing Cumbrian sausage!! Our room was very clean and had stunning views over blencathra and Skiddaw! Keswick centre is a couple minutes walk! Would have no problem staying here again!!

Lovely B&B

We have just finished our stay at Ferndene guesthouse which was my families second stay this year.
We stayed in the annexe on our first visit which is a beautiful room, cosy and warm.
For our second stay we stayed in the top room flat which has lovely separate sitting room and sleeping accommodations and has the most beautiful views of Keswick, Skiddaw and Blencathra.
The breakfasts were beautifully cooked (especially the poached eggs which were perfect) and set us up for day.
The owners (Duncan and Tsige) can't do enough to help and make you feel welcome and at home and we can't wait for our third stay there. Recommended for any couples, families and walkers.

Beautiful Homely B&B

Very clean with lovely owners. Nice breakfast and location a walk into town. Down side for me was we were on 3rd floor and no lift (I am not fit lol). The walk from town is also uphill so be aware if disabled. There is a small car park at the rear and free parking at the front. 

Friendly and clean

Great B&B, especially for walkers. Room was really clean, warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was great! Couldn’t fault it at all, a great stay and really good value for money.

perfect  location with onsite parking, we arrived slightly early which wasn’t a problem, our room was cosy & warm with everything you need and a breakfast list to choose what you would like, the breakfast was delicious and nothing to much trouble, thank you ladies it was a delightful stay and we will return in the future. 😊😊

Perfect

We stayed at the Ferndene from 13 to 15 November and can't wait to return.  The Ferndene is clean, warm and welcoming  and Tsige and Duncan were perfect hosts. The breakfast was hearty and delicious and set us up for a full day's walking. Our room was comfortable and relaxing. Lovely fluffy towels and lots of tea and coffee provided.  The Ferndene is the ideal base for a Keswick stay.
