My Husband and I attended Thd old Manir House at Keynsham we ordered the Burger when it arrived  it was Black I said it was burnt the waiter said it was the special it was burnt it tasted burnt it was horrid. The Bar foes not serve Rosie wine I then refused to pay the £ 4.69 service charge we will not be going again. They don't have there own car park they share with Tesco and there's only 3 hours parking.

We booked for 6 people for lunch,close family &friends after the interment of my mum at keynsham cemetery so perfect choice.Although they were v.busy with a wake for about 100,our service was really quite good,we were the only diners in the actual restaurant,.We all had different meals,a few starters and sweets.Everybody really enjoyed their meals,I had the lasagne which was different in the respect it was cooked with shin beef,it was delicious,I'm sure that's how its done properly.Can honestly say we had a very enjoyable experience and will return & recommend to friends etc.

Enjoyable luncheon.

We booked the Ballroom at The old Manor House, to host a charity event, The  Ballroom just had a new coat of paint and was fresh and clean, plenty of room to hold 60+ people , the garden is lovely secluded and tidy , a lovely place to have a drink in the summer and to soak up the relaxing garden. The manager Mia and the staff, were great , very efficient, friendly and attentive, communication leading up to the event was outstanding and every detail was met with ease and a smile. I would recommend The old Manor House for your event , the food was plentiful and a good variety of choices given. Thankyou so much Mia for your time attention and effort you gave us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were there on Thursday for steak night and everything was incredibly good! I favoured steak and my friends ordered different things from the a la carte menu so I had the chance to try different things and everything was 10/10👏🏼The atmosphere is great, the staff are very nice, the food is very good. I think the prices are very reasonable considering the service and the food we got. What more could you want😍 They also have a huge garden at the back which looks very pleasant. We will definitely be back!!! Many thanks to the Old Manor House❤️ Keep up the great service!!!

Lovely, outstanding, historical

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and could wait to get home. The hotel has a lot of work to do to bring it up to a reasonable standard. Our bedroom  had mould under the bedroom window. The beds and pillow were awful, you can hear people going to the bathroom as saniflow systems are installed and when sitting in the dining room, you can see bathroom towels stuffed between the cavity of the beam and front wall, perhaps it leaks? The poor girl on reception is run ragged and the second morning we were presented no cooked breakfast due to no gas…not sure if this was true. The man serving at breakfast was very flustered and quite rude to one other customer who requested another cup of mint tea for him to tut, pill a face and walk off. No further tea came to the other customer.  On checking out, we asked if it would be discounted due to no cooked breakfast being available and was advised due to the room being discounted already, no further refund would be issued. I’m surprised reading other reviews one person suggest that this would be good for a wedding reception. I don’t know how as the dining room can only accommodates about 30 people…perhaps I missed something. I would stop here again even if they offered a room at half the price. It’s a shame as there is so much potential in this building.

Would not stay here again

Having had numerous great Sunday lunches and Steak Nights under the previous owner we ventured back.

Thursday steak night and I was told they could just about squeeze us in. We arrived though to four of the eight tables being empty although people did come in as we were leaving around an hour or so later. The Old Manor atmospheric lounge now has lino flooring and the character seemed a bit missing.

 The odd concept is a guy trying his best to serve in a disorganised Manual type way. Everyone waits around ten minutes before a drink is taken and then another ten or longer for the food order. He fully explains that the chef can only cope with one table at a time so you literally wait until next doors is almost ready and then he takes yours.   Most of the room was people sat waiting (some without a drink yet) due to this time staggering method. 

The steak themselves were ‘okay’ but not a patch on the previous ones and nowhere near as good as a proper steak restaurant.  Slightly different customer too - taking advantage of the Two for £30 one guy ordered two to be cooked - one to eat and one to take home for tomorrow. It was like being in a campsite cafe!

Anyway looks like the memories were good but the change has taken it down a notch. Sad.

It’s changed

Only a one night stay visiting our daughter in Keynsham, a very warm welcome from the girl on reception.
Our room was perfectly OK, lovely breakfast served with a smile. Will definatly return and perhaps try and include the Sunday Roast that I gather is very good

WILL RETURN

The hotel was very efficiently run. All the staff were very couteous and friendly. Breakfast was freshly cooked and there were a good range od cereals and fruit juices as well.
The room were comfortable and clean and all had ensuite facilities.
There was a small bar and a really well kept beer garden. We enjoyed our weekend and would certainly book again next time we visit family.

Family Weekend

Excellent stay and the staff were perfect, plane was delayed so I missed the evening meal but the chef made me a sandwich for my arrival, I had to leave early for business but the staff went out there way to make sure I got breakfast before I left, I will definitely return whenever I'm in Bristol on business and I would highly recommend 

Great staff

Maybe it was the timing but the meals were not the best .
A large party were served before us and meals looked amazing .ours how ever were not..
I had one squashed roast potatoe under a mountain of turkey  and some very wet sweet potatoes..one carrot and a piece of broccoli 
Very disappointed in it.
Beef meals were similar although they had 2 potatoes.
£102 for a beer.glass of wine 2 soft drinks ..cauliflower cheese  and 4 meals .£10 added to bill for service charge ..which I don't have an issue with but it was a disappointing meal on a family occasion..
