Was recommended to stay at this place by friends, I wasn't disappointed!.
Our room was situated on the lower ground floor, if I can put it that way, at the rear of the building. Two single beds, enough room to be comfortable... superb shower, very clean, beds gave 3 nights good sleep.
The B&B is situated at the top of a steep(really steep!) hill above Kingsbridge.. a raised and separate footpath for those that want to walk into Kingsbridge itself, around a 10 minute walk, but would advise a taxi back, as the hill is a bit of a challenge...for me anyway!.
Amazing breakfast, plenty of choice... we went for the 'full English' on the first morning, I managed to eat half of it. Everything was cooked to perfection, and for my second breakfast I had to ask for a child's portion as I didn't want to leave so much a second time around.
The hosts are great, friendly and welcoming, they keep the place very clean, and maintain a professional attitude throughout.
Will have no hesitation booking a stay there on my next visit to the area.

I didn’t  book this hotel by choice as the photos online were not very appealing, but it was the only place to stay in the village. However, the photos are very misleading ! 

The rooms felt like they had been refurbished recently. 

They were spotlessly clean, comfy and a modern shower room with good pressure on the shower. 

The pub has amazing views and you can sit in the garden and hear absolutely nothing ! Complete silence except for a the birds chirping. 

The breakfast was cooked to order and I couldn’t actually finish it it was so big. 

It’s a 10 minute downhill walk to the village centre. 

I would certainly stay there again if I’m ever down that way.

The photos do it no justice

Were to start, first of all we phoned up to reserve a table and were told we would have to wait an hour. Once we got there it was empty so this seemed unnecessary.
We ordered the food which took about 35 minutes to come. I had a pizza which was cold in the middle but cooked on top. Base was clearly brought in and toppings were very low quality. The chips and cheese arrived 5 minutes after as the front of house team had forgotten to give the order to the kitchen. These were inedible as they were soggy on the outside and still hard in the middle. Clearly microwaved!! I were sat next to the door to the kitchen and could see the microwave being used a lot.
My partner had a lasagna with a side salad which has 3 or 4 random peaces of meat in the side salad which in sure were uncooked pizza topping.

And finally Poor environments as the drunks in the bar kept on coming over to pet our dog. Signs about drug use everywhere didn't help either.

Very poor service and food

Both my husband and I love the south Devon coast so came away for a couple of nights for our anniversary. It's a no frills place, clean, decent shower and tasty breakfast cooked to order. Only issue I had was the room temperature, it was freezing on arrival but once you had the heaters on that had been provided, it became so hot you had to open the windows, just couldn't get it quite right! But overall, a decent place to get your head down. It is a dog friendly hotel too.

Comfortable room & decent breakfast

We visited after the second national lockdown as a family of 3. The service was non existent, the decoration and furniture felt like a doctor’s waiting room (with the aroma to complete it too).

Our visit being on a Sunday, the carvery was the main attraction. Portions were good but one person in our party ordered from the menu. The service was appalling - we had to ask and chase for everything. The menu is limited, particularly if you do not eat meat.

Prices were appropriate.

I would not visit again.

GP’s waiting room

Just spent 3 nights here & enjoyed our stay. Found Ryan & his staff to be very helpful & pleasant. Meals were very good &, be aware, quite large proportions ! Next time we’ll stop eating 2days before we go ! The Ring o Bells is well situated for exploring this area, the main reason for our short stay, with a view to a longer stay next year ( COVID permitting!!).
Thank you Ryan & co, & we wish you well in these difficult times. The only, slight, downside was the WiFi reception in our room was very erratic.

Verygood

Positives = good location, walkable into Kingsbridge, easy parking, reasonable cost, lovely staff. Great breakfast.

Negatives.... ah. We had the room in what I referred to later as the 'cellar'.  Room was good size. Bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee good. Other than that... oh dear. It was damp, or at least it smelt damp. Despite the TWO plug in air fresheners (which I had to turn off as almost as overwhelming).  TV remote did not work. Sliding door to bathroom slid with such a racket it woke up the other perso n sleeping. Had to pee with door open in the end. And not sure what other intermittent night-time noise was? Something like an air con unit or plumbing. 

Tripadvisor said all rooms have 'stunning views over Devon countryside'... nope. We had a row of houses. And a dripping window as so damp. 

I would hope the other rooms are great and we were in the dud one. 

Only other comment - breakfast was great and well needed but you need to source better sausages. They were pretty awful. 

Comfortable, clean, hospitable and friendly staff and locals. A fine pint - well kept local ales and an enormous beautifully cooked breakfast. Also great views. Who could ask for more. Thank you Ryan and team

A super b&b

A decent meal with plenty of vegetables and a choice of three meats.  The only draw back was the meat was served carved off but was cold. The staff were very friendly and  Effiencent. The car park is small but adequate.
