Me and my husband were treated by Martha and her father are room was number 4 looking out onto the courtyard very clean all the amenities  that you needed centre to the town fab would not fault this place that's why we are going back

A lovely place to stay

The apartment was just perfect. Everything you could possibly need for a lovely stay including the most comfy bed and beautiful bedding and pillows. The hosts went out of their way to offer advice and even gave us the use of a lovely sitting room on the ground floor. Couldn't fault anything and will definitely be back!

Lovely apartment in a fantastic location!

I'm very confused by some of the negative reviews I'm seeing, because I had an absolutely wonderful time at Sun St Studios. My friend and I stayed two nights (Friday and Saturday) and were upgraded (for free) to a huge suite with a full kitchen (oven, stove, the works). The staff was very friendly and escorted me to the room, showed me how to use the key (it was a little finicky), and made sure the place was spotlessly clean for me. I will say, I had to ask specific questions about check out, wifi, getting in and out of the main building, etc. The staff didn't offer this information without being prompted. I found the wifi worked great, shower amenities were a lovely additional touch, and the staff was downstairs when I had any questions during usual business hours. Our top floor room had skylights which made the room very bright in the morning, so if you want to sleep in late, probably don't request that room. We didn't mind it. And finally, being in the city center, there was a fair amount of noise on Saturday night from a neighboring pub that had live music until at least 2am (we fell asleep then) and from restaurant staff across the car park who would come outside periodically to smoke and yell at each other for some reason. But really, ear plugs did the trick for that, and for the price and the comfort, I'd stay at Sun St Studios every time I'm in Lancaster.

Affordable luxury in the city center

A great place to stay and right in the heart of Lancaster.  Also not far from the train station. Modern spacious studio with a communal room and garden.  The bus station is also close by with buses tithe lake district, Preston and Morecambe.  Staff are helpful and can't do enough for you.

Excellent

Sun street aparthotel Lancaster (sun street) - Stylish up to date very modern. Has all utensils if you want to cook something while you stay but I went out to eat. 
These sun street apartments could do with all the windows being made double glazed as
the only things that majorly let this place down for me was the noisy neighbors, students I’m presuming from the building across from my window (I stayed in apartment 3) were up until 12.30am laughing loudly and hollowing shouting at the top of their lungs, the window to the apartment I was in wasn’t open but they did unfortunately have their window open and sound didn’t have far to travel, and then at 5am a rubbish bin dumper wakes you up so not very ideal if you want a restful stay. I would have been prepared to stay again otherwise or next time take earplugs because was very local to eaterys pubs bus and train station and the three mariners three minute walk away which was really handy. Other smaller issues were there is also a big crack in bathroom window and found couple hairs on bathroom floor and behind ironing board in bathroom. They also might have a slight ladybug and carpet worm issue as saw three bug whilst was in property in November!. Other than those things was a pleasant stay.

A good stay aside from the issues mentioned 

We stayed in Room #2. The location and the friendly young woman who met us with the keys are the only good things I can say about this place.

Not clean - had to wash all cutlery and crockery before using it and the place just wasn't well cleaned in general. Oh yeah and there was a part-eaten smelly kebab and chips left in the microwave, sandwiched between 2 of the 3 plates provided!! No coffee making equipment other than a kettle. In the shower there was pink bacterial growth. The fittings were poor and in some cases (bathroom shelf below mirror) starting to come out of the wall. Could hear everything from the floor above as it's an old building and a bit creaky. Wi-fi didnt work. TV in the bedroom had broken coaxial cable (left in one of the drawers below) so it didn't work as there was no signal. 
There was nobody in the office to leave the keys with when we checked out so we just left them on the desk.

Surprise kebab in microwave!

I stayed for two nights, from the 6th (my birthday) until the 8th (anniversary) after a trip through England from London up. We did not have issues anywhere else, we don't complain.

This place is dangerous, dangerous electrics with a light with live wires exposed attached to a metal velux window handle by washing line, sharp broken floor tiles, blocked bathroom sink, broken windows all the way up the stairs, broken velux window above bed. Owner is a con man and rude/abusive. I'll let the pictures do the talking saving some of the best though, I'll enjoy the small claims court far more than my stay.

Reported to local authorities and trading standards.

Dangerous

Just tried to cancel my booking due to a wedding being cancelled, not mine. They have a no refund policy. 
Fortunately booking.com has refunded my card.....one to avoid. I find this extreemly disappointing.

NO REFUND OR CANCELLATION POLICY

· Avoid room one !! Room was dirty, smelt of very bad damp. Toilet would not flush toilet paper away, also had a large crack in the pan. Mattress was lumpy and could feel the springs. Shower thermostat was one temperature only (scalding) and water did not run away., towel rail hanging off the wall. Wardrobes kept coming out of the track due to build up of dirt in the track. No heating controls (heating was never on anyway, hence the cold room. Nobody manning reception to speak to as they only have office open at VERY limited times, so not answer the phone, on check out did not ask if we enjoyed our stay !! Worst thing that happened on our 1st night was the flimsy yale key snapped in the outer door, did try phoning no answer, emailed through booking assistance through booking.com, luckily a member of staff from the cafe next door came to our rescue and lead us through the cafe to a back door which is left open so we could get into our room !! Would not be booking here ever again, loved the location and maybe other rooms are different, but room 1 needs a total overhaul - it’s disgusting !!
