Excellent. A very warm welcome from Sally upon our arrival who showed us up to our beautiful, comfortable room. I ordered 'the works' for breakfast which was perfectly cooked by Simon. Was delicious but difficult to concentrate on due to the distracting and quite stunning sunlit morning view from the breakfast room! The place really is a delightful, peaceful, bucolic gem. Recommended.

Picture postcard perfect!

We stayed here new years eve as we were attending a wedding. We pre-arraged a slightly earlier checkin so we could get ready, the owner was very accommodating which we were very grateful for. The house is lovely and in a beautiful spot, the room was really nice with a modern ensuite bathroom. The hosts seem to have thought of everything, it was a very comfortable stay. We pre-ordered breakfast the night before and the owners even offered to push breakfast back half an hour as we were back so late the night before. Breastfast was a full cooked English breakfast (and was delicious!), it is served in a lovely conservatory with a log burner overlooking the garden.

It really was a lovely stay, we want to come back to fully enjoy the area. The hosts so welcoming, thanks for such a great stay.

Fabulous stay, lovely hosts

The hosts are so lovely, welcoming and friendly, we actually felt like we were staying with family. The house is beautiful, exactly the house we would love to live in! The bed was super comfy, huge bath with a shower, we had a stunning view, kettle, tea and coffee, biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge on the landing, wine glasses and bottle opener in the room, little corner rail to hang clothes, adjustable radiator. TV on wall with plenty of channels. Book shelf with a selection of books.
We ordered breakfast the night before, there is porridge, fresh farm eggs cooked how you like them, bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried bread, beans, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, cereals, fresh fruit, muesli, toast, fresh home made bread, home made marmalade, jams - all of this is beautifully presented, in the conservatory with a log burner with stunning views, sheep, birds of all types feeding on the wall, fresh coffee, tea and juices. I loved reading the file in the room all about Sally's parents, such interesting lives! Simon showed us some other walks on a map that are local (we had been to Ingleton Falls). 
We had lovely burgers at The Plough in Galgate which is about 4 miles away, can recommend that and very reasonable prices on food and drinks.

Wonderful hosts and lovely stay

We were welcomed at the door by the owner. Shown to our room. Sally(the owner) kindly made a table reservation for us at the local eatery.  The room was comfortable, very clean, with named towels, face cloth, and shoe cloth. Great idea.
Breakfast was lovely. We had full English, just the right amount for us both.
We would definitely love to stay here again. 

Halfway to Scotland from Surrey 

We stayed here for one night on our way home from being at the Big Church Festival in West Sussex.
We were warmly welcomed by Sally and she showed us our ensuite room and a small fridge in the landing we could use. The view over the field of sheep from our room was memorable.
We enjoyed breakfast with a grandstand view of various birds eating food Sally had placed on the garden wall. For breakfast there was a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice, toast, homemade marmalade and jam, a delicious cooked full English breakfast and tea or coffee.
We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend the accommodation.

Green Bank Farmhouse

Only 10 mins off the M6 so very convenient but without the constant sound of motorway traffic. Very welcoming hosts, comfortable rooms and a plentiful and very tasty breakfast enjoyed looking out on lovely countryside. We booked a table at the nearby Fleece Inn for our evening meal, recommended by Sally and Simon, which was lovely as well.

Well worth a stop-over

A beautiful property in a stunning location.Simon and Sally are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The room was exceptional value for money and spotlessly clean. Highlight of the stay was the tasty breakfast, quality ingredients including Simon's homemade bread and marmalade. The only downside was not being able to stay another night due to a prior commitment. Would not hesitate in recommending this property to friends and family.

Great property in a stunning location

We stayed in the king size room and it was so pretty.  We were given the friendliest of greetings and a breakfast selection and then we were taken up to our room.  It had everything you could possibly want from toiletries to a dressing gown to wear on the way to the mini fridge in the corridor. The room had a stunning view and we had tea and coffee and a selection of biscuits to choose from. The breakfast was plentiful, full English options as well as cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Gorgeous bread to toast with a selection of jam/marmalade and fruit juices, tea or coffee.  Highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

A cosy room with a beautiful view

Lovely place to stay, right out in the countryside near Lancaster.  We were attending a wedding in Abbeystead and the owners were kind enough to give us a lift there.  Just about everything you could need was provided.  Breakfast was excellent especially given the view over the fields.  Owners were lovely and made you feel at home.  Everything seemed very clean.

Very welcoming - great breakfasts - near the motorway

Only a 2-night stay, but we will be back!  This place is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the hills and gentler countryside.  Sally gave us a very warm welcome.  Our room was spotlessly clean.  The bed was comfortable.  The bathroom was modern and all towels, facecloths etc were provided.  FRESH milk for making tea/coffee rather than those horrible sealed pots with UHT milk!  Excellent breakfast with full range of options including fruit, cereal, full English breakfast, toast and preserves. It was delightful to sit at breakfast watching the wide range of wild birds feeding on the wall outside.  Sally and Simon are really friendly and helpful hosts.
