This was an ideal place to stay while waiting for the ferry, so relaxing in the Lancashire countryside. A good recommendation for an evening meal. Loved the idea of the fridge on the landing to keep the milk for tea/coffee making as well as water (one bottle for each room). The Lancaster Canal is about a quarter of a mile away and offers relaxing walks along its towpath. The accommodation is just minutes away from the M6 and near the county town of Lancaster, itself an interesting place to explore.

The worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The couple who own this b&b are the rudest couple i have ever had the displeasure of comint across. The food was mediocre  at best. Avoid at all costs. I had a terrible nights sleep here also.

Terrible

There are many positive aspects about this B&B. 
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The hosts are lovely and extremely friendly.
There is a fridge for guests to use, with delightful glass milk bottles.
The location is superb to break up the journey when travelling north.
However, I would be hesitant to return here as I did not sleep well.
We stayed in a small double room which was a bit tight for space.
Unfortunately the mattress was incredibly soft and provided no support. 
I woke up with severe back pain, which lasted for a few days. My back hurt every time I changed gears In  our campervan. I would strongly recommend the hosts review the quality of the mattresses. Maybe this was the only " soft" mattress in the house, but this was the worst nights sleep in my lifetime. The campervan bed was incredibly simple but I slept very well.
Get the mattresses right and this is a fabulous place to stay.

We were looked after at this beautiful B&B by Steve and Anne, it is a comforting and warm place to stay in rural Lancaster. Rooms were comfortable and homely and breakfast was fab! Was lovely to meet Peggy the friendly resident doggy too! I would highly recommend staying here, Steve and Anne went out of their way to provide vegan options as my friend is vegan, thank you so much for this. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Lancaster area, I would highly recommend staying here where you receive a warm and friendly welcome and it feels like home away from home. Comforting and Homely, a home away from home.

Stayed at this beautiful farmhouse 2 nights B & B 8th and 9th October 2021 whilst attending a wedding. What a lovely stay, warm and friendly family, great service, lovely clean room overlooking the surrounding countryside, close to country pubs. Breakfast was amazing and nothing too much trouble, the lovely owner Stephen even drove us free of charge to the wedding venue! Would highly reccommend this place!

Lovely stay

The B&B was recommended by a friend who had used it when daughter was at Lancaster University. My own daughter was starting at same University so booked.  
We arrived late afternoon and received a warm, friendly welcome after a long journey from Kent. We had a twin bedroom with en-suite shower. The room had lovely views across to Bowland Fells in the distance. A small fridge on landing contained individually room numbered small bottles of milk for tea or coffee, which was a really nice thought. Our hosts recommended a village pub, The Manor,  a short drive away for dinner. which suited our purposes. Beds were very comfortable and the view in the morning was improved even more by the sun rising. Plenty of Covid strategies in place to prevent guests from mingling to the extent that the lounge had been turned into a 2nd breakfast room so guests could eat seperately. The breakfast menu had a variety of options. I chose the full English, which was hot and tasty. The only downside to our stay was the limited breakfast choice for my vegan daughter, who opted for mushrooms on toast. The hosts were very accommodating in finding non dairy spread for the toast, but the addition of a few more vegan friendly foods would go a long way... perhaps avocado on toast or vegan sausages? Definately value for money in a pleasant location and would be happy to return when visiting daughter.

Great pitstop

This B&B is in a nice quiet area with some Alpacas in a field nearby!  I had a very warm welcome and had a great single room which had a comfy chair to sit in. Room was a reasonable size. There were a couple of very yummy biscuits. I had to leave early and was kindly given breakfast early which was very tasty. There is some parking and a nice garden at the back to sit in. I would recommend this place fully.

A wonderful place to stay

Really nice hotel and owners really accommodating and friendly. They had nice little touches such as fresh milk in a little bottle with your room number on.

The breakfast was good and the location is perfect if doing skydiving at the black knights parachuting centre. 

The only down side was when we moved the curtains in our room, there were some huge cobwebs which looked like they’d been there a while. But otherwise, the hotel seemed really clean.

Cosy hotel and great location 

Single occupancy of a small double. Room was adequate for the price and breakfast was delicious. A raised male voice (cross) from the kitchen during breakfast was disappointing. The towels were skimpy and scratchy and the bed and linen I would describe as 'budget'. I would stay here again because, although basic, it represents value for money.

Value B&B near M6

Attended a wedding nearby so only stayed for one night, but everything was perfect.
Lovely room, with all the amentities you would expect of a top flight hotel ( free wifi, tea, coffee, water and cookies, toiletries)
Ordered our breakfast the night before, cooked on time and to perfection, friendly and hospitable hosts, would love to return to enjoy a longer stay, may be use the very comfortable looking lounge!
