We had a lovely stay at The 5 Alls. Unfortunately, only one night but a beautiful room and we couldn't fault the accommodation or dinner. Great breakfast in the morning. The staff couldn't have been nicer especially Celia who served us at dinner.
The place was taken over in March and has been refurbished. We wish them every success and we will return.

Fabulous stay.

I was taken to the Five Alls for Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day.  We had the 3 course special menu.  The starters were very tasty and nicely presented.  We all had roasts for main, two had beef and two had pork.  It was all delicious, my beef was beautifully cooked. Desserts were also very much enjoyed.  We understand that the pub has recently changed ownership and we wish them all success. We will definitely return.

Lovely Mother’s Day lunch

Extremely unprofessional, they canceled our reservation without even giving us an explanation and without apologizing, nothing. You cannot be safe booking with them because your reservation could be canceled out of the blue without warning

The five alls is a lovely little pub restaurant but there was certainly room for improvement. We ordered two beef roasts and a lamb which arrived really quite cold. We sent it back and when it returned no one was sure which one the lamb was so myself and my two friends had to play a game of 'who has the lamb' and had to pass the now very hot plates around the table to try to figure it out. Once the food was hot it was very nice. The sticky toffee pudding and lemon posset were also delicious. Staff were polite and friendly and one got the sense there was still training being done. 

Warm welcome, cold food. 

Great on the surface, but very tired pub. Dinner menu limited, breakfast menu better. 3 lights in our bedroom not working, told it would take 2 days to get someone to look at them. No landlord on sight, different 'manager' every day.
However, the staff were good, especially Mell, who couldn't do enough for us.
Will not be returning. 

Disappointing

Disapppinted. Had meals tonight which were cold and when we sent back, not a great improvement. Paid a lot and was not given the choice of an over 10% gratuity! We won't be hurrying back. Such a shame as we'd enjoyed meals with this place in the past.

Such awful weather when we visited  with our little dog in tow,  but the warm hospitality by the staff , a clean room and a big rustic sofa by an open fire made it the perfect place to be.
We had breakfast. Lunchtime snack and a super meal in the evening 
We met the new management, who took over today and we are looking forward to returning 
We will almost look forward to the weather being miserable again !

Wine by a log fire

We stayed at Five Alls very disappointed as the bedroom we had is not shown on website does not look like rest of them. Room is tired looking carpet grubby , two wooden dine chairs to sit on ? Window does not lock as you can push one side open !
I did ask if we could stay in another one which would of cost us to up grade ? But only one night available.
Had this room been on pictures I would not of booked in and definitely not worth £85 per night either. Menu very pricey !
In all very disappointing stay and would not return either

Took two friends for dinner 27th august and the and the food was excellent I had the lamb houlder with dauphinoise potatoes  the meat was so soft it melted in my mouth .
My friends had the short rib of beef and it was zlso soft and beautifully cooked my other friend had fish and chips and couldnt finish  all the chips so my friend and i gladly helped out.
The desserts were sublime two of us had a plum tartwith ice cream and the other friend had the crumble needless to say the plates were almost licked clean .
A thoroughly enjoyable dinner.
The young man from Portugal was courteous and very proffesional he really looked after us he a real superstar .
The pub is perfectly situated beautifully decorated a really friendly atmosphere from all other diners .
We will be back 10/10 .

Food and service

We really enjoyed our stay. Welcoming helpful staff who gladly stored ice blocks and picnic stuff for us in their fridge overnight. The rooms away from the inn are fantastically quiet and lovely - we actually had room 8 which someone else has given a bad review to. Yes, there's a stain in the bathroom where there was presumably a leak. Did it matter? No. Bathroom was huge and spotless apart from this mark, bedroom was lovely with comfy bed and very tasteful furnishings. Exceeded our expectations, we would return - perfect secluded garden for the heatwave but a lounge with leather sofas and open fire looks equally enticing for a winter stay. We would return.
