We recently attended a wedding here and it was absolutely stunning. This is a lovely beautiful hotel. The grounds and the hotel were just perfect. The food was fantastic and well enjoyed by all. Just perfection. Our little boy loved the games outside, definitely kept him entertained during the photos. Was a truly magical day.

Absolute beautiful wedding

Where to begin? From the moment myself and my now husband viewed the wedding venue we just feel in love. The staff are second to none and couldn’t have been more helpful each and every time we visited. 

We first went to Woodlands in August 2022 to have a look around as a potential wedding venue and we met with Abbigail who was so helpful, after walking around the venue we both just knew we had to get married here, so we went ahead and booked. 

Throughout the whole planned process I cannot thank Abbigail and Jess enough for answering all of my questions. 

We had our big day on Saturday 22nd of June and I don’t think I’ll ever have the words to describe how incredible our day was but perfection comes close!! 

Myself and my bridal party got ready in the bridal preparation room and it was STUNNING, we had breakfast and Prosecco brought to the room and if we needed anything else the staff were on hand instantly to get it for us! 

The attention to detail in the room set up who unbelievable and was more than I had ever dreamed. 

Marc our toastmaster for the day was AMAZING, everything ran so smoothly throughout the day and it is all thanks to Marc. 

The food and service was outstanding and every single one of our guests loved their meals. 

The bridal suite on the evening was immaculate and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! 

I will never be able to express how grateful we both are for hosting our perfect day!! 

I will be recommending Woodlands to anyone, you guys are amazing!!!

What a superb hotel, we stayed one night for a family wedding, hotel is great, excellent food, attentive staff, a few side room spaces to chill out in, the grounds are so very well kept and just magnificent. Our room was clean and very comfortable with every you could want. Wish we had been staying longer and would certainly recommend this as a place for a venue or just as a quiet very nice hotel to stay in.

Excellent stay at the Wiodlands hotel

We had our wedding at Woodlands in May and it was the perfect day. The service and the food was amazing. Everything ran smoothly, and a number of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. Jessica our wedding coordinator was really helpful and organised in the build up to the day, and Mark our toastmaster was also fantastic. Would definitely recommend the Woodlands Hotel.

Perfect venue for a Wedding

We had our wedding on 28.03.2024 here at the Woodlands and it was THE most incredible day. The staff are such an amazing, friendly and happy team. Our day ran so smoothly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was outstanding with a lot of our guests saying it’s the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The venue is super stunning with a very spacious, well lit, beautifully decorated orangery and gorgeous gardens and outside space for the all important photos. Perfect for any form of celebrations. We would highly recommend and wish we could celebrate our special day here all over again.

Perfect venue, THE best day and the loveliest team of staff

We had our wedding ceremony and celebration at Woodlands. It is a beautiful setting both inside and out. The orangery is so beautiful and we were fortunate enough to having reception drinks outside. The whole day ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish. The manager Charlotte, wedding coordinator Jessica and their team made sure that everything was well organised and on time. It meant that we didn’t have to worry about anything on the day (which was amazing being a control freak!). The food was beautiful and the atmosphere all day and night was fun and relaxed. The rooms were all filled by our guests and were all very nice. It was all more than I could have wished for!

A perfect wedding

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Woodlands using one of their summer midweek wedding packages, it was on the 31st July 2023. We had the most amazing day and this is all due to the wonderful staff at Woodlands. Our wedding coordinator Jessica was with us from the day we looked around about a year and a half ago, right through the planning process and on our wedding day. She is a credit to the hotel and I can’t thank her enough for making the whole process so easy. We genuinely never felt stressed planning the wedding because Woodlands take care of so many details for you. On the day we had Jess as well as our toastmaster Mark. They were both brilliant at making sure the day ran smoothly, we were able to enjoy it just as much as our guests! A note on the food: everything we have eaten at Woodlands, from the canapés to 3-course meal to evening snack buffet and next day breakfast was all absolutely delicious. So many of our guests have raved about the food! And the hotel rooms are lovely, so spacious and comfortable, just an overall fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back whenever we have an excuse to visit! I would recommend Woodlands to anyone whether it’s a wedding, hotel stay, evening meal, anything! Thank you all so much for making our wedding the best day ever ❤️

Dream wedding venue and wonderful hotel stay!

My wife booked afternoon tea on Fathers day and we arrived on time and shown promptly to a lovely table in the Dining Room together with other diners having Sunday lunch.  The afternoon tea itself was excellent, fresh finger sandwiches with a variety of filling, fruit and plain scones and the most amazing Sausage Roll which I could have had more of!!!  Having said that we had to box up most of the cakes as we were full.  Great service, reasonable pricing and excellent food.  What more could a Happy Daddy have :)  

Excellent Afternoon Tea

When I arrived the staff on reception is so polite little blonde lady ( don't know her name ) and then we went through to the bar and service in there was amazing we was served by Louise she is so polite and chatty and we will be returning to see her again

Very nice. Great location, excellent bar and great staff, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful felt very upmarket, Lovely old building with nice features, it was a wedding do and all went well plenty of staff on hand the food was served efficiently and arrived hot “complements to the kitchen the food was lovely” our room No 21 was how shall we say a little on the snug side for my husband and he struggled with his hight and build but for 1 night it was fine. 10 out of 10 for giving our Katie a wonderful day
