I just wanted to mention that me and two of my colleagues came in earlier in the week (for the first time) for some food as we have recently moved in to a new office in the area and we were all very impressed with the level of good old fashioned customer service that we received from Trish. She really went above and beyond and it was hugely appreciated.

Great value breakfast and lovely staff. We called for breakfast before visiting Oulton hall. Will definitely call again if over that way. Free parking and nice interior.
We had the full English and everything was great. Also nice to pay up front so once we finished we could go straight away

Lovely friendly staff and good value.

We had a lovely breakfast with the family, the staff were very accommodating with my mums food intolerance and the coffee is lovely. It had a really calm and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back for another family meal - and several coffees!

Breakfast for the family

Stayed here earlier this week while on a quick leisure trip to Leeds.
Very nice and well equipped rooms with spacious bathrooms.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.
All of the team that we met were very helpful.
Breakfast is included in the price and comes with a great choice of options.
The food was all freshly cooked and great quality. The service was quick.
We will not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip. Highly recommended!

Outstanding !

Good comfortable rooms. Good food and friendly personable service. My colleague managed to leave cash in the bedside cabinet and the hotel phoned us to let us know they had found it before he even noticed it. Really convenient location close to M1.

Good, honest service in conveniently located hotel

I recently checked out this pub and man, was I blown away by the food! I mean, the menu was packed with all sorts of options.

The real standout for me was the fish and chips. It was freaking amazing. The fish was cooked to perfection and the batter was crispy, not greasy at all. And the chips! Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

The pub itself was super inviting and had a warm, chill vibe. The staff were friendly and made sure I was having a good time.

All in all, if you're looking for some seriously good grub, this pub is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. The menu's got something for everyone and the food will not let you down!

Evening Visit

Lots of time spent here catching up with friends over breakfast/lunch and the space is really cosy and welcoming with a nice atmosphere and good quality food with great coffee. Can’t go wrong, also a nice vibe on an evening for drinks

Cosy space

Wonderful pub with very friendly and attentive staff. Who could not do more for the children, including turning on the toy train that runs around the pub. The food and service were fantastic. Thank you for having us, we’ll be back.

Family Lunch

We stayed at The Midland to break up a journey.  Must say it was excellent value for money. 
The welcome was friendly and the host showed us to our double room. The rooms are set aside from the pub with their own private entrance. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable double bed. Tea making facilities as well as a Nespresso coffee machine were provided with large cups (very welcome). The windows had shutter blinds and could be opened if fresh air was wanted. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and soft bath and hand towels were provided together with toiletries.  
A good night's  sleep was followed by a very tasty hearty breakfast.
We also had a meal at the pub restaurant  (which had a freindly family atmosphere) the evening before and this was excellent value and tasty. 
Finally,  pets are allowed which we loved (not to everyone's liking we know).

We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are passing through on our travels. 


Excellent value for money. No hesitation in recommending. 

Had another  brilliant lunch here today.  The menu is very comprehensive and very reasonable. My wife and I thought the Pasta Liguine was exceptionaly good . Our Grandson thinks the Classic Burger (with Bacon) is the best he has ever had . Looking forward to our return visit.
