If I could give this no stars I would. I have never met more disrespectful staff in my life who continued to berate me while I was crying. They treat you like you’re an massive inconvenience to them and act like they’re really hard done by despite the fact that it is their JOB. It is a working farm not a country b&b and I would not recommend to anyone. AVOID.

Avoid at all costs.

Stayed two nights here on a business trip. What a lovely place, cant understand the negative reviews. Dont come here if you're looking for a posh getaway. It's simple, cosy and very friendly. Had various chats with the owners whilst they made my breakfast. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Would definitely recommend. 

Lovely place.

Perfectly happy with my overnight stay at this quirky b&b. By car it's about 10-15 minutes from Harrogate town centre (some via country lanes, so not really a walking route in the dark/evening, though it doesn't claim to be), but the price to stay is reasonable enough to factor in a taxi if you're not driving yourself. Very reasonable, to be honest, as I stayed during a sold out convention weekend and accommodation in Harrogate can get pretty pricey at weekends. Plenty of parking space, lots of open land- situated at an equestrian centre with horses stabled and training/exercising which made for something a bit different. Had everything you need of a B&B in your room- very comfortable bed, good wardrobe storage and hangers, kettle/tea/coffee, plug sockets (including one by the bed which newer developments often seem to neglect), full reception on the wide selection of TV channels, really good, reliable, free wi-fi and an en suite with a toilet, sink and a shower cubicle. Everything worked, everything clean in my room. When you're only likely using a b&b as a base, at this price you can't really ask for more. Breakfast was included with a good selection of juice, cereals, pastries, cheese and fruit (probably more I didn't notice- I'm not a morning person) to help yourself to and your eggs, toast and hot drinks are served to you as you'd like. Seems like a family business and they were all really pleasant and friendly to me and went out of their way to ensure I was content at breakfast. I found it money well spent. Competitively priced, unusual setting

We arrived in the very large car park to be welcomed by the flickering reception light, with no other lights on this straight away made me think what have I booked. The light reminded me of a horror film. The reception smelt damp. The en suite room reminded me of my younger days staying in a grotty Blackpool B&B, the room at first was freezing, the wall paper was peeling, the bathroom fan screeched when turned on. Overall very dated. The bed on the other hand was extremely comfortable and tea and coffee was available in the room. The breakfast included eggs/beans/toast/cereal/pan au choc/juice/tea/coffee. Do not expect a full cooked breakfast. The hotel is not near the town or any eateries/pubs. Takeaway menus are available but you can only eat in the breakfast area and not in your room. I wouldn't want to stay again.

Good points: the bed was enormous and comfortable and the staff were friendly plus breakfast ok
Bad points: so many warning notices in the reception area stating fines for losing keys and that you cannot eat in the room that it felt very unwelcoming. t
The dining room that we are out take away in was really uncomfortable as the fridge keeping breakfast items cold was horrendously noisy. Very tight on the tea milk and sugar left in the room. Very dated

Not the world's best experience but not terrible =  warm safe place to stay the night.

Basic accommodation

This establishment is adequate for an overnight stay. Attached to a riding school with the sight of horses and riders, this was one of the perks as both my husband and I love horses.  Having said this, we felt the building was in need of modernisation, the decor was rather old fashioned and walls were quite thin. Our breakfast experience was a little disappointing. Although the lady serving in the dining room was very pleasant, the style was rather casual.  We were expected to help ourselves to cereal and fruit juice (which I might add is fairly normal) but no cooked breakfast was offered, apart from scrambled or poached eggs on toast.  On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.   Travel time from Harrogate is approximately 20 mins by car.One final point, as far as the tariff is concerned, we are of the opinion that it was overpriced and should have been at least £10 cheaper.

Average B&B

Having eventually found the B& B after a two & a half hours drive I went into a so called reception with a fusty smell to be greeted by an old chap who wanted my name & could he take a payment !! Could have asked , would i like tea & biscuits 🙁? As it happened he couldn't find the card machine any way. He got my key & led the way not even offering to carry my bag I had to ask for help. The room was on a corridor that over looks an indoor riding arena , paper thin walls I could hear everything in the room next door, glad I brought ear plugs! Chipped paintwork & sixties old wooden furniture. I  went down to the so called breakfast / tv room to see about some fresh milk & was scalded by a rather curt lady for taking a mug with a splash of milk in from the small fridge in there. Noisy display cabinet that’s locked , you can't even hear the tv . Breakfast was shrivelled up satsumas & half a dozen grapes , tinned pineapple I couldn't open, some creamy yoghurt  & a few croissant  & pain au chocolate, I had cereal & coffee. Went out for the day & when I returned nothing had been done in my room , just the bin emptied. I went & dialled 22 on the one phone in the foyer for  a clean bath mat , & replenish water & the tea tray. Young chap came within 5 mins but wouldn't give me two small bottles of fresh water only gave me one 🤔& filled the tea tray with the bare minimum tea supplies, an extra pack of ginger  biscuits was handed to me grudgingly . I wasn't even sure about drinking the water from the tap in the bathroom , both taps are not even fixed to the basin , & the shower surround has a load of cello tape holding it together as it’s cracked  so it’s difficult to slide the door closed. 🥺To be honest they should be PAYING ME £65 a night to stay in this dingy hostel. The only good thing was the comfy bed until I looked more closely , just a sheet on the bare mattress , no protector . I will be running from here come tomorrow!

Never again, an abysmal  fawlty towers !

Country B&B 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I think not, it’s a working farm!
Had to stay here as the Yorkshire hotel in Harrogate was full! 
Turn up and reception smells of foul water and tried to cover it with air fresheners!
Rooms are tired out dated and just don’t feel clean, shower is small and bathroom seems an after thought!
Corridor leading to rooms have windows looking into inside arenas so you hear horses running around and sounds like someone running up and down the corridor! 
Monday night was dog training and dogs barking indoors till 10 pm!
Thursday night is dogs barking outside as I write this at nearly 10pm!
Other nights is just horses banging around!
Ordered food in and was told couldn’t eat in my room! 
Tried to get a drink from said fully licensed bar, ring the number no answer......
So anything you need to do at this place you need to drive!
Thankfully I have managed to get a room back at the Yorkshire hotel next week as can’t wait to leave here, no country B&B just a working farm with a few rooms!
Don’t waste you money use a proper hotel

Arrived late and tired, greeted very warmly and shown to my room. Very comfortable and clean. I was allowed to use the dining area to eat my takeaway. As I would be long gone by the time regular breakfast is served, the manager said he would leave the fixings in the dining room for me.

So far more than impressed. Especially with the dog agility training I viewed from the corridor windows.  Great fun.

Very pleasant 

Stayed for 4 nights and was a bad experience, room smelt of damp and were more basic than basic, food was bland and dry, bed was uncomfortable, so all in all a terrible stay, half a star would be more accurate.
