Received a lovely warm welcome from the landlady. Stayed for a few drinks. Asked if the tennis would be shown that evening (US Open final), it was. Said we’d be back to watch it. When we returned, the landlady had reserved a table for us in the prime viewing spot. Looks newly renovated with lovely clean and modern/rustic decor. Had booked elsewhere prior to our trip and were unfamiliar to the area but wish we’d stayed there.

Lovely ambiance & welcoming staff

Lovely quiet hotel. rooms were clean and well stocked with tea coffee etc. the bed lovely and comfy. Breakfast was fantastic  plenty of variety of cereal and fruit juices and served by a lovely friendly lady can’t recommend enough and at a fantastic price. would definitely book again in the future.

Overnight stay after wedding

Great location and friendly staff, room was clean and well kitted out with stuff. Was easy to book and organise both check in and out. Staff were available when required and parking was available. Would definitely use again. Had shops close by.

Great Location….

We stayed 3 nights at this lovely place, very friendly landlady. Good breakfast, and evening meal was reasonably priced & very good. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Nice big bathroom with big shower. Would definitely stay here again .

Just one night

What a fantastic gem of a place. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The food was amazing from the evening meal yo the breakfast. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud i woke up refreshed and that is high praise from me because i suffer from insomnia.

Fantastic hotel

The Corner House provided buffets over a five day period when we were conducting daily advanced Driver training at a nearby location.

The food was really excellent and varied and was well received by all the drivers.

First Class Food 

We had a really nice 4 nights stay in this small hotel. 
The rooms are not massive but are comfortable with all necessary requirements, the en suite is also small but fully functional for our needs.
The food is really good, breakfasts are full on and more than adequate and the dinners are massive and well worth the money.
Unfortunately dinner is not available Tuesday and Wednesday night which is a shame since we would have happily eaten there every night. 
The staff are really nice, very accommodating with nothing being too much trouble. 
The bar is very nice and comfortable and prices really good considering it’s a hotel.
As we were leaving we found out that the hotel was closing in a few months, however the owners are opening a new one nearby with even more facilities, this will be a newly refurbished property and I for one will certainly be visiting it if it’s anything like the Corner House.
The owners will be retaining the same phone number should you wish to book.
All in all a really nice hotel that I can highly recommend if visiting the area.

Called in for a cuppa and a scone which were both delicious 
The place was clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and efficient 
An overall great experience to start our holidays in Scotland

Passing through

We stayed here overnight. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bedroom and shower room were very clean and fresh, as was the bar and restaurant area. The double bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in and the bedclothes were clean and fresh smelling. The Food was fantastic in the restaurant with large portions so you never wemt hungry. We'll be back!!
