Have just booked for the 3rd year running! 190 days and counting!! Cannot wait!! This is the one place that feels like family every time you return, no request is too troublesome and this is the one place my autistic daughter is accepted, safe and flourishes outside of her home environment. Peaceful, fun and a sense of freedom is given at this park and we cannot wait to come “home”

CANNOT WAIT

1st cottage we had was riddled with damp, stank of wee. Tiny beds. No room to swing a cat in the bathroom.  Complained. Had a stroppy unhelpful receptionist. Eventually manager moved us to a caravan which was nice bit the double bed kept springing up so we ended up sleeping in single bed or on sofa

We took our children on a suprise holiday for the last week of season what an amazing place, we went 7 years ago with oldest son this park has improved so much, staff are amazing nothing is too much they were so good with our youngest whirl wind, I think children now own most of foxy shop best time had highly recommend thank you xx 

The best week ever

We stayed at John Fowler St Ives Holiday Village as a family with our dog over October half term, renting 2 sliver caravan lodges. The grounds of the holiday park are very well kept and the onsite launderette was very useful. On arrival it was not obvious where to check in as the reception is tucked behind the bar / entertainment area and the restaurant. Once checked in, which was an easy process we proceeded to our accommodation. Both caravans had a distinctive smell when we opened the doors, which we later discovered this was a smell of stale urine coming from the bathroom radiators (which got worse when the heating was on). One of the caravans had holes in every internal door, marks on the flooring and the boiler was not working (which later got repaired by the maintenance team). The caravans were very warm and felt secure; however the internal furnishings were in need to updating. The sofa's were smelly and stained, the carpets needed a clean, there was dust and cobwebs in the corners, the wardrobes smelt of stale sweat and the dining room chairs were broken and very uncomfortable. The swimming pool was a bonus; however again it felt tired and in need of updating. We have previously stayed at other holiday parks and found that they offered more children's activities during the day which I think St Ives holiday park would benefit from. It is a shame that the forest area is not used by the park to a greater extent, there is opportunity for ranger walks, wildlife talks, bike hire etc which would benefit the park. The entertainment was great and the 2 events organisers worked hard even though it was the end of season. In general the staff were very pleasant and friendly and when approached they were happy to help. We had food from the restaurant twice; however it was quite expensive. On the second occasion we ordered 4 take out pizzas at a cost of £52. When getting back to the caravan and opening them we discovered that 3 out of the 4 were burnt which was disappointing. The onsite shop was a great addition, it was well stocked and reasonably priced. Overall we had a good holiday; however the cleanliness and quality of the accommodation could be improved. 

Silver lodge caravan stay 

Stayed here during the October half term week. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable on our arrival and the platinum lodge we stayed in was beautiful and well equipped-absolute credit to the cleaning team as it was spotless and beautifully presented, thank you!
The accommodation at this park is of a very high standard and the location is peaceful, nestled amongst mature trees. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return next year. We  highly recommend a holiday at St Ives holiday village! Thank you for a lovely relaxing break.

This was our 3rd stay in the diamond hot tub lodge they are of a very high standard and very clean we never used the club house on this stay as we only had a 3 night stay I would definitely return in the future and highly recommend St Ives holiday village

We’ve been coming as a family for years some good some not so good but last few years what a massive overhaul to the park. Some investment spent here it’s just beautiful the people work hard you can see that in this place. Not a spot of rubbish or mess everyone you meet can’t do enough and if you have a problem it’s solved like my tv in less than 5 minutes replaced with a brand new one. Redhead fella Neil great he was very helpful . See you September.. spot on! 👍👍

Gets better & better!

Upon arrival we picked up the keys to our caravan. Once we had settled in for the evening and put my 3 year old to bed we were shocked to hear a knock at the door from the Manager to say we were in the wrong caravan. The Manager offered us 1 nights refund, which I feel is not enough by far. They made us move at 9.15 at night (having to wake my 3 year old) and move to another caravan which when we arrived it was absolutely freezing cold inside. The beds weren’t made either which added to the disruption. In the morning we decided to get  up and speak to reception about a full refund which was the minimum we deserved. I would never set foot on this site again. Staff don’t know what each other are doing and you could get more sense out of a child.

They came to clean the first caravan so someone else could check in. They obviously didn’t clean it very well because my sons swimming costume was left on the balcony drying and they never saw it

Absolutely disgusting holiday

Lovely lay out and very clean staff was helpful and friendly clean park and a nice wood land walk peaceful weekend had by all the rafters restaurant was clean and food was well prepared and presented bar staff and all staff was really helpful to looking forward to returning in September

What can I say, arrived here only yesterday and we have enjoyed it so much already we have booked to stay on longer and  the staff was extremely helpful and polite, when requesting we wanted to stay in the same cottage this weekend amd went the extra mile, thank you for making our holiday special. :) highly recommend
