Great spot. Within walking distance for amenities. Clean and easy check in. Ryan was great at giving ideas of what to do while on the islands. Would stay again.

Good Stay

This was the perfect home base for our three day visit to Shetland.  Perfect location just off the main street in Lerwick, so easy walking to everything Lerwick, plenty of parking available a block away, Ryan and Anita were extremely solicitous and accommodating (although we had everything we needed without having to ask).  Highly recommend.  The only comment I have (and this is a dumb American thing:  a UK King bed is more of a US Queen size so be aware of that when you book a particular room.)  Terrific Hosts.

Perfect Home Base For Shetland Stay

Very well placed and maintained guesthouse. Ryan was very accommodating and provided good tips for our stay. Perfect place to discover the Shetland Islands, even during winter time. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back.

Feel at home

I arrived at extremely short notice and the hospitality was faultless. Nice cosy room and lovely breakfast. Thanks to everyone involved for a really nice stay while my bathroom was undergoing major renovation.

Easily one of the nicest stays I have had when working away from home!!

This was a great B&B in a perfect location! I wasn't aware that the hosts don't live on site and we didn't get the text message with the door code so I felt a bit bad calling them late after our flight was delayed, but once we got into our room it was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and very generous with the portions and it was fun chatting with the other guests. The parking is on the side street, but we never had an issue. The best part of this B&B is the location, it's so easy to walk to many of the Lerwick sites and yet it's still very quiet! 

Perfect location! 

Stayed here as work was going on at Aald Harbour, room was lovely in a great location on the Main Street great for people-watching and easy to walk to restaurants.  No issue with parking available on street behind.  Fabulous breakfast cooked by Lynette who was so welcoming and informative.

Excellent stay

Excellent location and warm welcome from Lynette who arranged for us to drop our luggage off as we had arrived on the boat long before check in. Room was small but clean and cosy. Breakfasts were AMAZING and gluten free needs accommodated with plenty of choice.

Great location and welcome, amazing breakfasts! A great base for exploring Lerwick and the surrounding area.

This apartment is in an ideal place central town, with everything Within walking distance. Plus it’s great value for money, even if your on your own. The host Carina is very welcoming and always a smile.

I took my mum to Shetland for a wee trip and booked Fort Charlotte Guesthouse on the recommendation of a friend who used to live in Shetland. We were not disappointed, the guesthouse is located conveniently in the centre of Lerwick, within walking distance of the ferry, shops, restaurants and the tourist sites of Lerwick. The room was newly decorated and very comfortable, we booked a twin room with two single beds which was very comfortable, we had a really good sleep every night. 

The breakfast was really good with a selection of continental and traditional cooked breakfast options. We liked that the tables were place together at breakfast to allow us to chat to the other guests who were from as far afield as Australia and Tennessee. It was lovely to share trip ideas and hear about where they had come from. 

Our host Lynette, Mum and Joan who served breakfast were very welcoming and we enjoyed hearing their Shetland accent. 

Thanks for the great visit. Would recommend highly to anyone.
