BB’s are never shy of an Adventure and this centre has it all! We had a fantastic time in the Maize Maze with friendly staff who provided lots of information regarding the activity and the local area! 

The maze was brilliant!!! Well planned and very tricky especially in the dark, make sure to wear your waterproof footwear and a big coat at this time of year - we can’t wait to come back and try the other activities on offer! 

The “EPIC” Maize Maze

As my grandson loves this place, we booked our third visit.  This time we stayed in the deluxe bell tent rather than the glamping pods.  The tent was warm, roomy, comfortable and cosy.  It had it's own fridge which was an added bonus and some complimentary snacks and drinks.  We chose to stay in this tent because, similar to the pods, it is right beside the play area and kitchen area.  We lit our fire when it got dark and toasted marshmallows which my grandson thoroughly enjoyed.  The following morning we paid for him to use the inflatable assault course.  Being September, it was damp and he did get soaked but he didn't care!  The staff at Carrowmena are very friendly and helpful.  There is so much to do at Carrowmena, so many activities for children and adults alike.  My only gripe would be the state of the toilets, but given that children are using it I guess that's understandable.  I will definitely make a return visit to Carrowmena!

Third visit!

Thoroughly enjoyed the night we stayed as a couple. The staff were friendly and helpful as usual. The coffee pod was open to 7pm so was great to get stocked up on logs. Warm showers we used after coming back from the beach. We stayed in Carrowmena delux and it was perfect for a date night. Cute with fairy lights and a pergola which was covered from the rain. The bell tent was lovely dressed, cosy and warm. Ideal base if wishing to explore the area, close to town and beaches. Local chippies and cafes all welcoming as well. 

Best cosy romantic night

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 nights we stayed.  The staff were friendly and helpful as usual.  The boys enjoyed the activities and the Coffee Pod was welcomed.  Recommended for kids (big or small).  Ideal base if wishing to explore the area.

Change of Pace

Just back from the most fabulous 3 nights away for Easter. We literally had a blast. We stayed at Carrowmena Activity Centre. We go glamping alot and this literally has been the best one we’ve been too. So clean, everywere is spotless. There is a big communial area which has fab kitchen facilities right beside the park which we cudnt get Zenan out off. He had soo much fun. The tents were so spacious with a wee heater etc in. We stayed in the normal tents the first 2 nights but my back was getting so bad with the fibromyalgia. I thought by the pics and descriptions it was a bed in the tents but it was pallets with a mattress on top. So we upgraded to the deluxe tent for our last night as it had a proper bed. Everyone so friendly and helpful! We literally can’t wait to go back again.  You won’t be disappointed if you go!

Amazing 3 nights here!

We stayed in the glamping pods for my son’s 7th birthday, we arrived quite late in the afternoon which was perfect for us, the pods were so warm with the heater and extremely spacious! We had a mini birthday party and carved pumpkins and had sparklers, the green out the front of the pod was perfect for a little kick about of football and games. Highly recommend for anyone, couples, friends or families, we loved our time there and will return and add activities next time :) 

10/10! Loved it!

Our second stay at Carrowmena and it was another success. We opted to stay in the deluxe Bell Tent, all the extra little touches in the tent were amazing! My 6 year old son made new friends within minutes of arriving and loved going to the little shop on his own to spend his pocket money. The staff are absolutely fantastic as well, great with kids too. Plenty of activities to take part in, or you can just chill in the peaceful surroundings. Well equipped facilities and always clean and tidy 👍🏼 We'll be back soon for the Maize Maze and to try out the pods on our next stay! 🌽

Perfect family trip

Had a great time staying here for 4 nights in one of their Bell Tents.  Easy to get to, lots of things to do nearby including visiting Giants Causeway, great facilities and lovely staff.  My sons particularly enjoyed the activity package.  It's a great site especially if you have younger children.

Fantastic campsite in a stunning location.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the bell tents.  9 of us altogether children ages ranging from 13 - 4.  Showers, toilets and kitchen spotless.  we had brought some cutlery etc with us but there was really no need as everything you could want was available in the 'glitchen'
Staff very attentive and quickly resolved an issue with our heater.  We did the climbing wall and zip line on the Sunday morning and i have to say the female instructor (cant remember her name) was excellent with my daughter Lottie (7) who was quite nervous.  We also did paddle baording and our guides were excellent and very friendly.  The younger children loved the play park.  All in all we had a great experience and would certainly consider a return visit!

Brilliant, spotlessy clean

⛺ - the bell tents are so spacious & comfortably slept 2 adults & 3 kids. the heater kept us super toasty. beds comfortable. bring own bedding... We brought sleeping bags and Pillows which worked well. 

🌅 🌄 - location was stunning. Sunset @ the coast & sunrise behind binevenagh absolutely spectacular views

🔥- the firepit was the perfect place to make super tasty smores, situated slightly off from the picnic table which I seen in previous pics so we brought our own camp chairs to huddle round. we brought our own wood but can purchase on site at extremely reasonable prices so I'd honestly say no need to bring your own

🍳☕🍽 - glitchen spotless. we brought own utensils but plenty there if forget anything. continental brekkie consisted of huge variety of cereals, milk, butter, jam, Choc spread, honey etc. Small selection of fresh fruit available also. 

🚻 - toilet facilities clean. didn't use showers so cannot comment. 

🥳🎲🪁🧩 - kids loved the play park which is closed in & felt very safe. they spent hours in the sandpit with their new friends. being a family site there are lots of kids to play with. board games available also along with lots of books, colouring in pencils, paper etc. 

🚲 - maps available for bike routes & walks. 

⚽️🥅 - Big grassy area with football nets

🧗‍♀️🚣🎯 - big shout out to Pete & James from Binevenagh Adventures who provided the activities. we all loved the climbing wall. they are so encouraging& supportive, honestly the best part of our trip... you could just tell they love their jobs & we're so good with the kids. we didn't do the full morning which consisted of zip line & archery but plan on returning in summer with family to do some more...
the inflatable assault course was so much fun and again staff fantastic & so encouraging, especially with my little 3 year old.  

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ - staff were incredible!! so friendly, informative & super approachable!! 

☕ - the coffee hut stocks yummy treats, coffee & sweets/snacks, all at prices you would find in local shop... smore kits available too!! 

all in all this was an amazing stay & the kids cried leaving! we only stayed one night but would love to return. it was priced so so reasonably! I booked via booking.com but I am lead to believe if I had of went via Carrowmena website itself it would have been cheaper... standard rate for bell tent is £80/nt which is amazing for the locality. 

thanks so much to all & we will see u soon (to collect our Pillows which I forgot to bring home & they are ever so kindly keeping aside for me 😆) fantastic service!!!
