Lovely room, perfects hosts, huge bathroom with bath and excellent shower, good breakfast. Can't fault it. However, beware the carpets as they are very pale so muddy boots and dogs need to be treated with care. They left a line of towels in the hall for us to walk across to the stairs which worked well for the dogs and we left our boots at the door. Lovely walk to Southerndown across the fields takes half an hour. Plenty of pubs iwithin a 10 minute drive. If you want to be in a village this is not for you but if you want a location which is quiet, pretty and not far from all the best spots, it's ideal

Great B and B in an isolated location

What an amazing house set in stunning grounds. We stayed just for one night for a wedding at St Donants. Lynne and her husband are the perfect hosts and just can not do enough for you. Their beautiful house oozes character and the room we stayed in was huge. Breakfast was delicious and very well cooked too. Thank you both for a great stay and hopefully we will see you next year.

Wonderful stay

We stayed for one night in a huge room up in the roof. It was very comfortable and we had an excellent breakfast. The house is a gorgeous building in lovely grounds. The owners were very friendly and helpful

Lovely house, great breakfast

Wanted a nice place to overnight that was near the coast in South Glamorgan. We have a dog so it needed to be somewhere that accepted them. Clemenstone house showed on the list and they had a last minute vacancy.
Unfortunately we missed the phone calls that would have made finding the place easier  (our fault) but I had looked it up on google earth the night before. My route planning took us right there, yes it was very bumpy and wouldnt recommend anyone trying it, should have taken other route but signs were saying private, dead end etc. We thought we had gone to the wrong place though as no signs visible, no one about, so drove back to main road, asked locals who said we were right first time. Anyway, no matter, we arrived and were welcomed and shown to our huge, lovely raftered room with everything we needed. Bed was very comfy with good quality mattress and feather pillows and quilt. Bathroom is separate and also above usual standard. The house itself is wonderful and interesting. Breakfast was everything we asked for in the beautiful dining room. Was calm, quiet and tranquil and had a lovely friendly atmosphere. Very good value and memorable. Would love to stay again.

A lovely stay

Clemenstone House is a truly gorgeous house. We booked the B&B as we were going to a wedding in near by Lltantwit Major.

Lynne one of the owners graciously allowed us to check in at 11.30am and was very flexible on us returning late at night after our wedding party had finished.

Not only was Lynne accommodating during our stay but she was also very kind to give us a lift back into Lltantwit Major of which we had left our car there from the day before.

The rooms were clean, bathroom kept tidy and the breakfast in the morning was just right!

If we are heading back to South Wales again we will certainly consider staying at the Clemenstone House again!
