We booked this hotel through Best Western in February, for an easter break. We received an immediate confirmation. However,  When we arrived on Thursday evening we were told that the hotel was not open and not accepting guests. No help for anyone there, just left to sort ourselves out. Utterly  appalling lack of service, care, empathy and basic manners.
I have had to rate other sections at the worst as I am unable to comment constructively due to the fact that I never got to experience any of them.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED!! NEW OWNERS HAVE CANCELLED ALL BOOKING AND INFORMED GUESTS.
WE ARRIVED ON ST 8 OCT FOR A TWO NIGHT STYAY BOOKED MONTHS AGO VIA BOOKING.COM TO BE TOLD ALL BOOKING CANCELLED BY NEW OWNERS WHO ARE NOW HOIUSING RFUGEES.
RUBBISH TREATMENT BY OWNERS AND BOOKING.COM WHO ON TUES LAST WISHED US A GOOD TRIP!!!

CAE MOR CLOSED TO GUESTS

We booked this hotel online months in advance only to be told that our booking had been cancelled on arrival. We had driven all day to get there and were offered no help in finding another hotel. We had been sent a letter two weeks prior offering to cancel the booking (it was the Queen’s funeral) but as we had nowhere else to go we decided to go to the hotel anyway. The letter clearly stated that if we decided to come then we should ignore the letter and the booking would stand. The man, who I assume was the owner, was abrupt and seemed very annoyed that we showed up. He claimed the hotel was sold. I do not believe this to be true. We found another hotel up the street but had to pay significantly more because of the last minute booking. We walked by this hotel in the evening only to see all the lights on and what looked like several families in the hotel windows. They obviously could have accommodated us if they wanted to. Do not stay here.

Cancelled our booking and offered no alternative

We booked a return visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and were called out of the blue to be told we were cancelled.
My husband rang for some information, and was treated appallingly by the woman on the phone. I could hear her shouting from the other room.
When he suggested that she calmed down, she accused him of being the aggressor, and she had put him on a list of blocked people due to his attitude.
We are desperately disappointed, as last year was so special after all the Covid hassle.
It had been so convenient, with being on the front, on level ground, as I needed an electric scooter, and a lift.
So sad, as it’s also tainted last year’s memories.

Dumped with no apology and rotten attitude

Having booked the function room for a Golden Wedding Celebration some 6 months ago the new owners cancelled the booking as they are bringing in their own reservations.  We had expected 40 guests, some of whom had booked rooms. No assistance offered or offer to cover any of the out-of-pocket costs incurred in planning and preparing for the event. Not a place when could recommend or trust. Event due to take place in December.

Golden Wedding Celebration cancelled by hotel

Hotel booked for a week in October. Received a call today to say hotel had been taken over and the new owners were bringing their own bookings. As I had booked but not paid for my stay, I was told my booking was cancelled. No offer of finding me another place to stay. Poor service.

So this weekend me and my partner stayed at the cae mor hotel in llandudno,there is not one bad or negative thing to be said about this hotel at all,so if you are looking for a place to stay this is most definately the place to stay.We arrived on friday the 2nd of September and we left on sunday the 4th.check in was fast and friendly and efficient  as we had a small dog a big fuss by all staff was made of her.The room was large,clean and tidy,bed was so comfy as were the pillows free parking and ample spaces.The next morning we had breakfast at 8.45 the menu was fantastic,full Welsh breakfast,even a sausge wrapped in foil for the dog,a big thank you to the chef,the owner was serving breakfast and doing fresh coffee,you will not go hungry  all day after the breakfast.All staff were so friendly with everyone and very knowledgeable of things what you can do.Please give this hotel a visit you will not be disappointed.

I booked a room online with a Buyagift voucher and additional payment.  The cost was £298 for two nights.  When I phoned the hotel to confirm I was told there was a problem with the booking and it had been referred to the manager and they would phone me back.  I didn't receive a call so phoned the hotel back the next day and they said the booking was confirmed.  I'd asked for a dog friendly room so they said that it would be an additional £20, which I said I would pay straight away, but they said just pay when we arrived.
On arrival at the hotel there was no welcome greeting, just a 'you know you have to pay £20'.  Which of course I did straight away. Then I was given the room number and told it was room only basis.  I showed them my printed booking confirmation which stated it was bed & breakfast.  The assistant manager was there so he said he had to check.  I told him it wasn't a big deal as by now I was embarrassed felt they thought I wanted something for nothing.  When we got to the room we were really disappointed with it, the furnishings were old and mismatched and the door was all scratched, the bathroom door had been replaced but not painted.  All in all it was not good value for money.  Needless to say we went out elsewhere and paid for breakfast.  We did meet one nice member of staff on the reception on the Friday evening, her name was Claire and she was very pleasant and the only one to make us feel welcome.

Miserable staff

Very helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast with plenty of choice. Second time we've stayed here and always a good sign to see the same staff. Lovely rooms. Will definitely come back and stay again. 

Perfect

I was very much looking forward to this stay, based on all of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience did not fit with what prior guests have written. I learned that the restaurant was closed and early check-in wasn't possible as the hotel was fully booked. When I finally checked in, the room looked presentable however, there was dust and fingerprint smudges on every surface and the carpet looked unhoovered. After notifying the staff, they promptly "re-serviced" the room but I continued to suffer allergic symptoms whenever I was in it, which has never happened to me at a hotel before. I can forgive an older room but I cannot understand why there isn't extra attention paid to such rooms to ensure everything is exceptionally clean and polished (pictures shown are after a 'second' cleaning). The decorative bed cushions smelt rotten and there were clumps of dust in the radiators. It was a very upsetting night as a solo traveller as I was unable to sleep (the most important thing!) or get sufficient assistance from management until the next day. They did refund me for the next night but should have also offered compensation for the first one. The saving grace was the staff-- lovely, helpful, and hard-working. It appears I was unlucky with an old room, but on the website it looked like I was getting a new one (same price by the way) so be careful when booking.
