Me and my husband stayed at the ChainBridge hotel for one night as part of our stay in Wales. Having never been to Wales before, the hotel is beautiful in an idyllic location. The hotel is located next to the river Dee, and is a 5 minute walk to the Horseshoe Falls. 
We stayed in one of the junior suite rooms that overlooked the river with a balcony. The room was very spacious, with great facilities, including tea and coffee with biscuits. We were very pleased to see that there were decaffeinated coffee included in the choices, due to my husband only being able to drink caffeine free drinks; as we have stayed in hotels before where this wasn't provided. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a lovely towel radiator, which was lovely to have nice dry warm towels to use. 
We were booked in the restaurant for our evening meal, and the choices on the menu were very good. I chose the sausages and mashed potatoes in a giant Yorkshire pudding with peas and gravy. The food arrived very hot and the portion size was large. I really enjoyed the food. 
In the morning we both enjoyed a full  English breakfast, which was served with a selection of toast, orange juice and tea or coffee to your choice. The food was all hot and very tasty. 
Anyone looking for a hotel in a beautiful setting in North Wales, we would highly recommend this hotel. All the staff were very welcoming, including the cleaning staff, bar and waitering staff and the reception. 
We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.

A lovely hotel set in an idyllic location with very welcoming staff.

The chainbridge Hotel is in a beautiful location.   From start to finish the staff were attentive.  We got to the hotel around 1.30 had our lunch which was nice, and checked into our room.   

The room was lovely, we booked a double river view with a balcony.  The view is something else.  The hotel is on the canal 5 minutes from the Horseshoe falls which is to the left of the hotel.  You can also walk along the canal into the town, the walk is stunning.  There is lots to do in llangollan.

Breakfast was nice too.

We will definitely staying here again.

Stunning location

Arrived just after the deadline for lunch but the very nice man sorted us out anyway. Excellent sandwiches and very good chips and salad to go  with it.
Brilliant location by the river, very clean with good decor in the hotel and a friendly atmosphere. Might stay there if we go that way again

Late lunch

The hotel has one of the best vistas of a river that I have stayed at.
Excellent room and fantastic clean and cosy.
Great breakfast and hearty meals available in the very pleasant restaurant. 
Very friendly helpful staff.

River vista joy

We really enjoyed our break here. Our room was very modern and had a beautiful balcony view over the river. It was spotless. Check in was efficient and v friendly. All the staff were v welcoming. Our dinner was very good with a river view to die for. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We will be returning soon.
 This is a hotel with a second to none location and was very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay at the Chainbridge

We were made to feel welcome immediately on arrival by the wonderful lady Marian on reception. Enjoyed dinner on Saturday and breakfast but the Sunday lunch was exceptional! Beautiful room and the balcony over the river made our stay unforgettable. We will be back.

Location! Location! (View 😍)

Lovely hotel, popped in for a drink and food. Pizza was delicious and so was the Tuna sandwich. Staff very welcoming, when we was there it was very packed as it was Summer but the management seemed to handle this well. We plan to return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Lovely food and location

What a fabulous hotel. Great location, lovely accommodation, good food and friendly staff.  We walked to the centre of Llangollen along the tow path which was so picturesque and peaceful. We especially enjoyed several glasses of mulled wine when we returned.

Charming Chainbridge

Not sure what to expect as its November and probably down to minimum winter staff.    Very presently surprised.

The room was ready so we were allowed to check in early.   All of the staff were helpful and friendly.    

Tasty breakfasts and a lovely evening meal albeit they ran out of the lamb pies......in Wales.......the country has nothing but sheep.

Weekend Stopover

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding at Tyn Dŵr Hall. 
I opted for a small double. The room was plenty big enough and the en-suite with loo and shower was more than adequate for me but I could see it being a little too bijou if there were 2 of you. 
Overlooked the canal so a nice quiet spot but I could still hear the power of the water flowing down the Dee - brilliant. 
Breakfast was generous, fresh and tasty. 
I also had  dinner which was very good. The food really exceeded my expectations. Lunch was also good. 
But for me it was all about the location. Some great walking right from the front door. A very easy 30 min walk into Llangollen along the canal. Horseshoe Falls just 5 mins away. And lots of other great walks within striking distance
