Great location for horse shoe falls, Langollen , pontycyte aqueduct and walking trails. Within driving distance to Snowdonia for a day trip too.
 Beautiful scenery in spacious accomodation, comfortable beds and all you need for a  self catering stay away from home.
Family loved the stay with ages from 9 to 74 all having a good time.


Road trip to llangollen, North Wales

Worse place ever stayed . Brilliant views . The pub was crap and food was dreadful. Scampi wasn't cooked .  Parking well forget it . Mouse trap in the room dirty windows TV wouldn't work.  Your bedroom was over next doors kitchen so when they came in. We had full on noise . And door in the room that went into next doors . Wot was all that about .. horrendous walk to the place.   No handrail . Worse place ever stayed .  Would never recommend it to anyone . 

Dreadful . . mouse traps in the room.  The bed and views were ok . But would rather sleep under a hedge

We arrived in good time with great communications and directions provided. We didn’t realise it was so steep up from the road to the accommodation and parking was tight. Easier to get in than out! 

You’ll navigate two sets of stairs to get to The Snug. Large spacious bathroom and bedroom with great views and very peaceful. The kitchen lounge area was VERY snug as in ‘small’ a very basic kitchen but tea and coffee were provided upon arrival. 

We offered the hosts some feedback about improvements to lighting. A comfortable stay all in. 

Walking routes across footpaths were tricky with our dog as the stiles were not dog friendly at all. 

It’s hit and miss with the local pub ‘ Britannia Inn’ as they close if there are no customers! So don’t rely on eating there.

Snug and basic - great location for exploring

This was a truly beautiful little escape in such gorgeous surroundings. We stayed in the Annexe which was just adorable, and fabulous if you're a fan of somewhere rustic and cosy; and still barely a 10 minute drive from the town. The house was spacious, spotless and well equipped - and the mountain views from the bedroom and private garden were simply stunning! We spent 2 relaxing nights here and I hope we can come back and experience this again some time in future. Thank you! ❤️

Gorgeous countryside escape!

The place was dirty, stained and generally looked tired. It was meant to be a romantic couple of days away. We looked inside and our hearts sank. We messaged the owner who said they were supised to hear our comments as they normally get praise.
Camping in a field has been cleaner and far less money. Dirty mattresses, stained bedding,  dirty fridge, cooker( also very rusty),kettle, missing paving outside. Just to name a few things. If this was a family with not much money this would have sent them home! Fortunately we had enough funds for a basic but clean hotel.

REALLY BAD

Badly needs updating, appliances not fit for use , microwave and fridge, cushions ripped , downstairs bathroom damp and paint peeling off , pipes not boxed off , not safe for children, towel used as curtain in bathroom! 

But views and location good

Staying in the house

My husband and I came to wales for a quick holiday with our 4 children. This house is perfect for a big family and very child friendly! The house itself is beautiful and has everything you need. We loved the big open fireplace, this made the place so warm and cosy. The views from the windows and outside are beautiful. We have no faults. Jo was extremely friendly and helpful. We hope to come back!

We loved our stay at HorseShoe pass!

Just returned from a weekend away with my partner, son and 2 dogs, we had an amazing stay at the Horseshoe Pass Holiday Let’s and it has breathtaking Views, the house was so cosy and the bed was so comfortable giving us a good nights sleep. Jo and Phil met us when we arrived and were so helpful and welcoming and made our stay such a pleasure, we will be definitely be staying again but for hopefully longer as we loved it so much.

Heaven

We booked out all of the accommodation at Horseshoe lets for my Mums 70th celebrations. Firstly due to personal circumstances and then secondly due to lockdown restrictions, we actually moved the dates of this stay 3 times. Each time we found it very simple and the hosts very accommodating. 
The location is fantastic (although a little hard to find for some of us initially) with wonderful views to wake up to. We were a very short drive from lots to do in the local area. We also got a local supermarket delivery on the first night which was no problem arriving at the property.  We had all we needed for our stay and if there was anything else (baking powder at one point) we needed the hosts were close by to help. 
Would stay again in a heartbeat. 

Fantastic! 

Just returned from a 3 day break. Relaxing and beautiful views idea for family’s one bedroom per family there was 8 of us and 2 dogs.  Lovely hosts on site if you need anything. 
Could do with a refurb but clean and the sun was shining so we  spent our time on the balcony. You must visit horse shoe pass falls.
