Beautiful cottage in a stunning location, the hosts Ed and Sarah are top notch, nothing is too much trouble. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The breakfast is to die for and plentiful! Room was very clean, tidy and large with a kitchen and separate bathroom. We only stayed one night but would be back in a heart beat if the need for a stay in Llangollen arose again. Can't praise this wonderful B&B enough we absolutely loved it.

Hidden Gem in stunning location

Mountain Biking in Wales I was. Stayed for one night. Beautiful place, excellent room, very comfortable bed I must say and a wicked breakfast. Exceptional hosts with nothing being too much trouble. I will return and I most definately recommend this place to anyone.

I booked with the host Sarah. She went to endless trouble to explain where it was and then supported by text on the day we arrived so that mugs of tea and welsh cakes were fresh on the table.
We had 2 rooms and were so comfortable it was sad to leave .
Beautiful location and special break. We and friends will be looking forward to staying again.

Stunning place and wonderful stay

We stayed three nights on a short break to N Wales.  Very warm welcome from Sarah and Eddie, with tea and delicious Welsh cakes.  They had plenty of ideas and information on what to do in the area.
Tyn Celyn is an old farmhouse, well modernised while retaining the traditional character.  Our room was very comfortable and well furnished, with lots of character.  Very quiet, excellent heating, and we appreciated the hospitality tray with splendid biscuits.  Breakfast was excellent, copious and freshly cooked using fine local ingredients.

There is plenty to explore in the area, and lovely countryside.  This would be a great base for a longer stay.  We cannot recommend it too highly.

A five star B&B in glorious peaceful countryside

Eddie and Sarah are simply lovely people who have a passion for their home and area and strive to ensure their lucky visitors have a great time. In all honesty, nothing was too much of a problem acting as tour guides, eatery guides and all whilst running the B & B and a very discreet family.
Nice rooms and bathrooms and a great lounge and a very extensive breakfast.
Very highly recommended.

A little Gem

We booked late Saturday afternoon was pleasantly surprised with the stunning backdrop and beautiful cottage we were stopping at 
The host was very friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding area
Room was spacious and clean 
Bathroom was mahoosive 
Breakfast was great with all the trimmings yoghurts cereals 
Would definitely like to return with more time in hand to explore 

Last minute 

We spent two very rainy nights at Tyn Celyn while walking the Offa's Dyke path. Unless you have a GPS it can be pretty hard to find from the trail, as it's tucked away from Llangollen itself on a small road in the most beautiful surrounding of hills & farms, but it's worth the effort. Sarah, Ed, & their family are the kindest & most wonderful hosts imaginable & made us feel so very welcome. The ancient house has been restored beautifully & there is everything to make a visitor comfortable & relaxed, including a stupendous breakfast. We left feeling we'd made new friends & with every intention of returning!

Wonderful old B&B, wonderful people

Tyn Celyn is set in countryside just outside Llangollen,I believe the farmhouse dates back to 18th century. The accommodation we had the ground floor bedroom was spacious, spotlessly clean, comfortable and leasantly warm. We also had use of a communial lounge area. There were plenty of extra that some bed and breakfasts don't supply, an example being the welcome, we were treated to a cuppa and welsh cakes, probably the best I have ever tasted. From our arrival we were treated as if we were special and Sarah the owner was fantastic she made us feel at home, she gave us down to earth advice on where we should and should not visit, places to eat etc. she is nothing like the landlady stereo type of old. We stayed for four days and wished it could have been four years . Would recommend a stay here, although not on the dates we intend to go back !!!

Four days of bliss

A little gem of a place, we stayed here after attending a wedding at nearby Tyn Dwr Hall. Without doubt the best B & B I've stayed in, with the NICEST hosts, we were well and truly spoilt from the time we set foot in Tyn Celyn Farmhouse, until the moment we departed. From the stunning views of the hills and Dinas Bran Castle...  the pretty, tranquil farmhouse ... the warm welcome from Ed and Sarah - which included a lovely cuppa and welsh cakes ... our cares disappeared within minutes of arriving here. And if all of these things weren't enough, Ed dropped us off at Tyn Dwr Hall for the wedding, and cooked us a delicious breakfast the next day! Thanks so much Ed, Sarah and family for sharing your home with us, for making us feel so welcome, and for all of the 'attention to detail' which didn't go unnoticed and was very much appreciated. I particularly liked the candles at breakfast and the beautifully tied bundle of towels! Everything was just perfect! My only regret was having to leave so soon. We will definitely be back!

A lovely stay, with the warmest, loveliest hosts, and magnificent views!

Nice friendly welcome with the owner making us a brew .About 25 minutes walk from town but worth it as lovely countryside and very quiet.Nice room very spacious and clean and a decent cooked breakfast in the morning
