We spent 4 nights here in July 2019, and used it as a base for exploring the area as well as experiencing the local highland games, which was a couple of minutes walk from the B&B. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, as was the ensuite. We originally booked for 3 nights then added another night. I mistakenly booked a different room for the extra night, but Diane contacted me beforehand so I could correct it and it meant we didn't have to move rooms whist we were there. We were very grateful for that. Matthew and Diane were wonderful hosts, and offered suggestions for eating and sightseeing. From here we spent a day exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, another day to Doune Castle (Monty Python and Outlander location) and the Falkirk Wheel. Breakfast was terrific and gluten-free was well catered for. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts and great location

My wife and I booked here for an overnight stay following a trip to Inverness. Arrived just about 9pm and we were shown to out room. Lovely large room. We had a great night's sleep and then went downstairs for breakfast which was awesome. The home made pancakes, scones was a great start and then I had the porridge and we both had a fry up which was excellent. Matthew our host was very attentive and even suggested a trip to Loch Katrine before we headed home. It was awesome. Whilst we were checking out we met Diane as wl and we spent some time chatting. Really nice couple who have been running this place for 19 years. Highly recommended

Cracking Stay

We had a one night stay here, with a very warm welcome from Matthew. Lovely clean room and a very comfortable bed. A very tasty Scottish breakfast with a good selection of cereals and fresh fruit. A lovely friendly couple who made us feel more than welcome.

Lovely hosts

This was a lovely bed and breakfast, run by Matthew and Diane, who were very welcoming. The room was cosy and clean. Breakfasts were excellent and included a 'daily special' cooked by Matthew who is a trained Chef! Good selection of fruit,yogurt, home baked scones and muffins as well as full Scottish breakfast! Good wifi. The property was within easy walking distance of two places to eat and drink in the village itself and is situated at the end of the loch itself.

Lochear House, B&B

We spent 2 excellent nights in a super position. Matthew prepared excellent breakfasts. We didn't have to worry about lunch. The room was great, could have been a little larger. It was great to have off street parking.

Matthew the Great!

We stayed for two nights recently and, as our group took all three rooms, it was like having the place all to ourselves. There is a lounge downstairs if you want to sit (no TV there) with a big bowl of what looks like sucking sweets but is actually glass ornaments! The real sweets are in a smaller bowl by the door. The rooms were very nice, clean and well equipped with the usual facilities, all en suite. The host greeted us and is also a trained chef. You order breakfast when you come down in the morning, and everything is prepared there and then. Apart from the usual Scottish breakfast there is always a daily special. On the two mornings we were there it was salmon and scrambled eggs, then asparagus and poached eggs. I had both and they were very tasty. My friends also enjoyed what they had. There is juice, cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt to start, with toast, scones and muffins afterwards. All very filling to set you up for a day's walking. It is easy to find at the road junction, and there are a couple of hotels just along the road. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Very comfortable B&B

Spent two nights there as a base for our trip on the West Highland Railway from Crianlarich to Mallaig. Friendly welcome by Matthew and he happily gave us information regarding driving to the station. Room was well fitted out, comfortable and the bed was cosy. The ensuite was spacious and contained all items necessary. Breakfast was very full some, continental and full Scottish, as well as fruit, bread, scones and jams.
We enjoyed our stay, it is good value and we would happily return.
