Great site very friendly wardens and a great location, nice walk on to the estate and in to Edensor and breakfast in the tea rooms,
A nice and relaxing weekend with our first caravan. 
Pick your own pitch, all the pitches where very generous, the shower block and toilets very clean and well maintained.

Excellent site. Pitches well spaced, showers spotlessly clean, staff super-friendly, amazing location. If you like a walk this is the place as the scenery is fantastic and the grounds of Chatsworth are incredible. We stayed here and walked to the town of Bakewell via the beautiful village of Ednensor. Which we’d stayed longer 👍👍👍👍. Upon departure couldn’t start my VW van as we’d inadvertently drained battery and staff couldnt have been more helpful in getting us going.

Cracking little campsite - highly recommended

We were only able to manage one night on our trip way at chatsworth but it was still very special. The site is well maintained and the staff team friendly and welcoming. We loved the park and spent ages wandering around with our dog when the crowds had left admiring the art statues. We can’t wait to return for longer….and the chatsworth farm shop is ace

One night next to chatsworth

Great location. Good pitches.  Very friendly site. Facilities were immaculate. Amazing dog walks. Walking to the nearest village was easy and took 10/15 minutes. There was a few pubs and several shops. To top of the 3 days that we stayed, we had access to the beautiful grounds of Chatsworth House. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend

Highly recommended

Visited here for the first time and WOW, met at gate by Tim, what a really friendly helpful chap, explained all the Covid rules and basically couldn’t do enough to make sure we were happy. Site was very full, when driving around pitches looking for a suitable one, we came across Wendy! Assessed size of van, said she knew exactly where would be a good spot and walked in front of us to show it. Was as pleasant and helpful as Tim. We were overwhelmed at all times during our stay with the outstanding customer service and beautiful clean site. Highly recommend. We will be returning.

Best customer service

What’s not to love about this site, it has everything and the secret gate onto Chatsworth estate and 15 minute walk to Baslow is superb.

Pitch’s are a good size and the staff are outstandingly helpful. Can’t wait to go when I can actually get in as it’s fully booked and only managed a last minute availability.


Superb help

We had a warm welcome onto the site by the wardens. 
Very friendly and all smiles.

The grounds were well kept and the toilet and shower blocks were very clean.
The baby and toddler room was a surprise, which we didn’t use but good to know that they had one onsite.

As this was our first COVID-19 stay away. So we bought additional equipment for our campervan. Like a outside pop up shower tent. Knowing that toilets and shower block would be closed on some sites.

We didn’t need to use it. As the toilets and shower block were open and had a limit on how many people went in. Social distancing markers were marked outside with a one way system. 

We only stayed the one night but wish I had booked for the whole weekend. As you would need it to have a good walk around Chatsworth Estate. 

I would definitely be going back again, as our stay made us join the Caravan and motorhome club. 
I recommend anyone visiting Derbyshire to stay at the site as it allows you to walk onto the Chatsworth Estate through a secret door, which a key is given to you on arrival. 

Pleasantly surprised 

We have been to Chatsworth Caravan Club site a few times now and absolutely love it. Some other reviews have mentioned that it is too far away from any amenities (there is a shop near the roundabout at the site entrance! (Co-op I believe). The toilet blocks have always been kept clean with great showers but during the Pandemic I would use own shower in Caravan / Motorhome to keep everyone as safe as possible (as I would do this on any site atm). 
I understand anyone with a Motorhome getting a little frustrated regarding the timed 1 x way system to allow people arriving not getting blocked on the single track lane leading to the site (nowadays a great solution to this is to take electric bikes on the back and problem solved as some of these ebikes can rack up to 60 miles on 1 x charge).
My favourite things about this site are the tame ducks and the secret door at the back of the site into the grounds of Chatsworth!!
If I could change anything about this site it would definitely be the positioning of some of the pitches under the trees as needles from them (depending on the time of the year visited) get absolutely everywhere once on top of the Caravan / Motorhome.
In summary, this site is lovely in 1 of the most beautiful places in England and if I had the choice, I would live here... ❤️

Peaceful

We are halfway through a 13 night stay and feel it's an absolute necessity to tell others of this superb CAMC site.
It's simply as good as all the others we've stayed at but better.
