From the moment we arrived we were disappointed. Staff didn't know what they were doing. Finally checked in, took to room. First impressions very shabby room. Hotel needs a total refurbishment or demolition. No rails in wardrobe, just nails to hang up stuff. Bathroom sink broken, being held together with sellotape. Tap nearly dropping off. Shower looked terrible. Was a dirty takeaway foil container in drawer. There was a constant loud buzzing noise all night. We all had to buy earplugs. Absolutely terrible.

Worst hotel experience 

Sort of place you wipe your feet on your way out. 

Room stank of fags, bedding like a sheet of loo paper, room resembled a prison cell,  had to wash via sink as shower simply did not work, it was either scolding hot or bitterly cold.  Grumpy Rothman chugging lady who checked me in insisted on seeing my banking app to confirm I had wasted my money checking in here, then insisted on keeping my driving license in case I wanted to steal the cockroaches.  

Had to phone the place from my room this morning to ask how the hell I check out and get my probably already cloned driving license back as there isn't even a reception.

Absolutely no peace and quiet whatsoever - windows are as old, damaged and useless as the hosts so ffs don't rely on a peaceful night's sleep.

I've stayed in some dumps, but trust me, this is unique, and a dreadful experience I'll never forget.

What a dump

We were advised on several occasions our hot water would work, ran for 30 seconds then stone cold also only had a tiny heater. So no access to even basic amenities for duration of our stay! Hairdryer didn’t work. There was a rat/mousetrap right by our bed, black mold in bathroom. The lock on our was literally ahold which they’d filled in. Avoid staying here at all costs if you want to freeze etc  AVOID AT ALL COSTS even when you complain about the hot water nothing is done to sort out issue completely not even worth 1 star only decent thing was the bed

Beyond disappointing

I booked the family room for 5. Upon arrival we collected the key for our room and when we got upstairs the door was very difficult to even unlock as the handle and lock was hanging out and very temperamental. The room was very cold and only 2 electric heaters supplied which were not very good. The beds were very uncomfortable, sheets were clean. The windows were rotten and walls need new paint. Miss matched curtains that were falling off, hair dryer and tv both don’t work. 
The hot water lasted 5 minutes and with 5 people who wanted to shower this was useless, the bath was covered in limescale and look very old and dirty. 

Unpleasant experience

Smells on opening door, rooms- walls disgusting, shower disgusting wouldn’t use, windows thin could hear everything outside.portable heaters radiators didn’t work. Lady friendly, Colin refused all our money back. 

Don’t do it.

This was booked at the last minute to see a concert at Wembley. Good location with lots of transport links to the stadium but the room was very basic, tatty and unclean in places. The window wouldn’t close and I was kept awake by noisy traffic. Bathroom not nice at all and the shower was barely hanging on the wall. Bed linen was clean and the bed itself was comfy and the staff were pleasant enough but for anything other that a crash pad after a gig, I would avoid.

Ok if you are desperate

Booked here rather than premier inn as we have 3 children so needed a bigger family room. Did read the reviews but very little choice at short notice booking. The bed linen was clean and beds comfy, but the carpet was vile (dirty/smelly and damp in one area) with visible dirt under beds and down the side of the sofa. Walls were shabby with dirty marks, the room had mismatched and Ill fitting curtains, a mildewy bathroom and out of 4 lights in the room (wall lights and ceiling) only one worked and this had electrics hanging out of the wall. Ignore the reviews at your peril.

Dirty carpets

Don’t waste your time or money. There was expanding foam on a rotting window. No cover on the bathroom light (risk electrifying yourself if you want a shower). We didn’t both showering as that was disgusting. Health hazards everywhere. None of the electrical items were PAC tested, in addition to this all but one plug socket was damaged. Carpet in room looked like it hadn’t been hoovered. No breakfast (not that you’d risk eating there). As we had a plan to stay due to train strikes and not having any other hotels near with rooms we had no choice to Kip there for a few hours. We probably stayed in the hotel for 4-5 hours in total and this was too much. On top of all the health issues with this “hotel” (hell hole). There was a hidden ‘key deposit’ and the lady said they can only accept cash payment, so we had to draw out money for the stay and key deposit. The next day the guy asked whether we paid cash or card. That was more annoying than anything. Honestly wouldn’t both staying here. They have 3 rooms and all 3 are probably as worse as each other as I heard some guy at 2am say “let’s just leave I can’t stay here”. Wish we did the same. Felt so gross after staying here, didn’t even lay in the bed, it was an on the top of the bed jobby. The only good thing about this place was it had a good flush on the toilet. I could’ve slept on the toilet it seemed like the only clean part.

Disgusting

We arrived late at night too the hotel and rang the doorbell shortly after we were let in and they sorted out our room for us. We then wandered up the stairs to room 6, well we didn’t know what to expect. As we walked in one of the lights was missing we then spotted the broken window and plaster coming off the wall. We then checked the bed which was clean and comfortable but the sheets needed updating small rips. We then wanted to watch tv no remote. In the morning we woke up fancying a bath to discover no plug, we got inventive and used a cup for the teas and coffees. I didn’t really work and we had to keep it running so we didn’t loose water. Then the tap decided to run slowly like a snail. The bathroom floor paint was rusting away. All in all I survived to tell the tale so that’s good. Take a trip if you dare!

We survived the night!

Prior before arriving at the hotel I searched online if they had any rooms available for the night. They had rooms for £35 online… Just to be assured I made a courtesy call to confirm. I had previously  stayed once in this hotel but on arrival I was disappointed due to my room not prepared. Hence I wanted to confirm  with the hotel directly the man on the phone confirmed there was double room at the whooping price of £55 cash on arrival With £10 deposit for the keys to the hotel room and entrance.

Just on arrival at 1 o’clock in the early morning, I rang doorbell for couple of times but there was no answer. Then I called the Hotels reception, the man answered the call and came to open the main entrance door.I had paid £65 for the night which is £20 extra compared to online. I had no problems with the deposit, we checked in and everything was fine. 

1:57AM I rang the reception asked to buy non-alcoholic drinks. No one answered the phone, I thought the receptionist probably went to sleep. I was really dehydrated, I was not able to sleep well through the night. 

5:59AM I called the reception again seeing if he would pick the call. He did answer the phone. I kindly asked him if he would sell me coke and water as I had been dehydrated all night and having gastro pain and explained the situation  he denied selling me drinks and  had the audacity to tell me just drink toilet water!??? He informed me stating the restaurant doesn’t serve any drinks after 21:00hr And dared to hang up the call…WITH NO RESPECT!

7:00AM I asked my cousin to see if the man was down at the reception in the bar he was nowhere to be present regardless of waiting 10mins. 

10:30AM Finally I was able to purchase thanks to my cousin to get water and fizzy drinks which had been 4 hours of waiting time… 

I had to suffer early morning as I was extremely tired and was very confused and my Consciousness was extremely weak! Lack of sleep…  so I asked my cousin if he could ask the reception if we could do late checkout and we would happily pay extra fee. He said I had to pay for another night £55 fact is the prices ONLINE its £35 luckily my cousin brother was here to look after me.

10:52 am I rang the reception again!!!I asked person who answered the call, if it was the same person who answered my call at 5:59AM in the morning!!! I explained what happened and the fact that I’m very tired and EXHAUSTED I told him to compromise I even stated just until 14:00hr. He kept insisting I would have to extend tonight. Clearly stated I’m not in position to be walking around.

His response “yes it’s me who answered your call” 

Explained the whole conversation we had and I once again pleaded if he could compromise allowing us to stay till 2 pm we are paying extra fee I also told him how he responded early hours.

His response “I have not spoke to anyone”

When clearly he stated he did answer phone. He also stated he was at reception until 3:00AM! Had the hotel phone beside him… Which is a complete white lie!!! I clearly stated could you stop lying. 

He calls me liar instead and asked me to show the log of my phone call, I showed him the log and duration of the call! He once again had the AUDACITY to tell me instead I’m the one lying and saying the evidence I provided to him was HOAX!!!
Demanded him to calm the manager as he would not listen and threatened me with police being called! Clearly stated that’s fine, I asked him 3 times to call his manager, he stated the manager was off on Tuesday! I got ready to leave the hotel.
I wanted to speak to him and recorded the conversation we had! I want an APOLOGY By this MAN who doesn’t even VALUE on SWEARING OATH regarding HIS “MOTHER”! Clearly stated he’s such a disrespectful person and that he is not suitable to  be working there. 

MY MESSAGE IS TO THE OWNER I NEED AN APOLOGY AND THE SHAM FOR THE HOTEL PRICE.
