I've got needs as much as anybody, but there were certain things I couldn't accomplish alone. Aesthetic was to my taste, not sure about the fellas hanging about who looked like they could use a good wash.

Insecure

Located at the gates of Kensington Garden, very close to Kensington Palace, it's only worth the location. I rented it thinking it would be a room for three people and when I arrived I was surprised by a large apartment, with a kitchen and room, but very dirty. The bathroom was dirty and the carpet, which covers almost everything, full of stains, not to mention the smell of cigarettes and old furniture. Very bad Wi-Fi signal, no breakfast. It would have a good potential if it was clean and had newer furniture. The rooms (one was a room and the other was a huge room in which they put a bed) have an old furniture, the type that was from the subway and nobody wants to undo it, but very poorly preserved. The only advantage is the location, including the 10 minutes of the hotel, and the buses in the central area, which is the best one to find in the region.

Wide and well located

What a great stay!!! We loved the experience. Friendly and very helpful staff. They made great recommendations. They made us feel at home. Can't say enough about the Hotel and its staff. Unforgettable experience. Get a great deal and stay here.

Advertised as cheap hotel in a great location however the reality is a dirty hostel for down and outs.  It is absolutely filthy, smelly and security was a huge issue for me as a single woman.  I couldn't even think about staying and cannot understand how this place can pass basic hygiene tests to promote themselves as a London hotel.  Do not go here. Was there briefly but came away scratching. Horrible place!

Checked in and immediately checked out!

Dreadful hotel. Dirty, no service, avoid at all costs. Location is surprisingly nice, but the hotel is so underwhelming that it does not justify going there. OK, it's cheap. But there is a minimum level of comfort that a decent human being expects. And it is not there at Clearlake hotel...

Don't go

Cheap hotel but very smelly and dirty hotel. This hotel is owned by a family, they have no staff to provide the service. We stay in hotel 3 nights and 2 nights in the appartment. I dont want to stay in this hotel & appartment again. we dont recommend this hotel.

Dirty and smelly hotel

The title says it all. Unfortunately, it's an abandoned structure, where only people who are used to camping in the savannah might say, It's not so bad. It should be completely renovated.

It's an extreme makeover.

We booked this hotel with the thought of simply having a good location where we can get our heads up. Although the situation is fantastic, we would really rather give up than stay in this hotel again. Even after reading the other reviews, we thought how bad can it be already? Well, it was worse! It hasn't been decorated or waiting for anything since the 1980s. The wallpaper should be dropped off the walls and dirty, there's hardly any money to be found anywhere. Before our room, there was even a disgusting mattress on the sidewalk.

Clearlake is more like crap

We booked this hotel because we just wanted a place to rest our heads in a good location. Although the location is fantastic, we would really rather sacrifice that than stay in this hotel again. Even after reading the other reviews, we booked the hotel thinking, is it really that bad? Well, it was worse! Nothing was decorated or maintained by DECADAS. The wallpaper is falling and dirty, the rugs are disappearing, there are stains everywhere. There was even a filthy mattress supported outside our bedroom door. The shower was completely useless, we were like a small temporary wooden box with a handbag around the detached door. The kitchenette made us feel a little stinky, but with its old handbags they kept a little bit of our pocket covered and it had a fat, but I think it was partially covered, there are stains everywhere. We just needed a nice place to rest. And although the location was just fantastic, we would rather donate the room than stay in this hotel again. Even after reading the reviews, we booked the room, thinking that it couldn't be so bad. Well, we were very wrong! There was no one repairing anything here. There was nothing dirty and falling off. The carpets were almost stained, all over the place. There was some kind of a stained mattress in the doors of our room. It was easy to shower, it looked like a temporary wooden box, stuffed with cattle around the edges of this box, where its value could not be hidden anymore! We were so excited to have a refreshing dinner, but I thought it was worthwhile to see the room cleaned up, even after a few hundred pounds, and we could not have spent a whole night in the kitchen!
