Even a score of 1 is too much. 
Customer service, substandard.  Waitress and Manager need training on how to deal with dissatisfied customers. Their method is just walk away.
Food, inedible. Drowned in sauce. Had Sea Bass. Still searching in the Moray Firth for the rest of it. Pitiful portion size. I asked for Mussels as a main (serve it as a starter but the Menu did not state it couldn't be served as a main and the waitress said it was possible.). So they arrived. Starter size as well as cold. The Manager was getting very defensive when challenged. Not one member of Staff came over to see what the problem was. We had to tell them we were not paying for it. They should have said we wouldn't be charged. Not even an apology. Absolutely disgusted. Do not waste your hard earned cash in this place. Go to the local chippy instead.  And it wasn't just us having problems. The table behind us described their meal as 'an epic fail'.



Be better off with a slice of toast.

AVOID. Where to begin, I visited with my family (3 people). The service was terrible. We ordered drinks on arrival, mixers for spirits just handed in an unopened cans one of which had a 90p price and they charged £2.50. They forgot one the spirits.  This was the only occasion in 2 hours we were offered  drinks. The starters took a long time. Prawn cocktail and scallops (covered in sauce) so all you could taste was sauce, scallops really tiny. Mains took longer, again overloaded with sauce , when we asked for fresh cutlery it was slung on the table in a pile, no fresh serviettes.  Service awful could not get anyone’s attention. No one asked if we enjoyed our food which we didn’t and left the majority of it.    No one seemed to care that we had a terrible experience. Won’t visit again.

Better off going to the chippy!

Before you die, you need to eat this! Such a wonderful warm welcome with friends including a lovely pup. Cosy, clean, wine at perfect temperature as was the Guinness and the Stella.
Food wise a marvellous invention. Amazing! And will be back to see what they've invented next! BTW is loaded fries with roast beef, white pudding, pigs in blankets, gravy, Yorkshire. All to the backdrop of a fab 80s mix! 

Heaven sent food!

Location for walking the Moray Coast Trail couldn't have been any better. Right across the street from the beach. Wi-Fi access was great. The burger in the restaurant hit the spot. The staff were run off their feet, but so wonderful.

Gorgeous meal last night. The staff were helpful and polite. Food was delicious and spoilt for choice with the large menu. Gluten free options were excellent too. Thanks very much, we will definitely be back again. 

Fantastic food, great staff!

Went for a family birthday dinner and must say the lady serving was the most angry looking, ignorant person I have ever had serve me food. Was scared to ask anything. Food wasn't that great either, had starters and mains served at the same time and 2 other mains served after the rest or the eating party had finished. Looks fancy but not a nice place. Toilets very skanky as well. Please don't waste your time in this place.

Don't go!!!

Arrived and were seated and ordered and served drinks. Ordered food - waited 50 mins from food ordering - drinks were finished - one meal arrived then 10 mins later the other meal arrived. We only ate and paid for one meal. Won’t be going back 

Long waits and meals not served at the same time

The waitress that was working the room did an amazing job of being solo for service and host.  Kudos!  Didn’t miss a beat.   Tried the Halloumi fries.  New food for me and was just tasty!   I also had the S & P Calamari which was good and the Shrimp with Rose Marie sauce.   All so good!   The hubby enjoyed his Cullen Skink and cheesy Haddock topped baked potato.   Nice and relaxing.  Good atmosphere.  Decent parking.  I would go back if I am ever in the area again!

Delicious lunchtime stop!

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights the room was lovely and clean and amazing views. The only thing that wasn't good was the noise from the plumbing. We were woken at 7am this morning because another guest was having a shower and the plumbing noises were really loud. We had dinner in the restaurant on Friday evening and the food and service were excellent.

What a wonderful restaurant.

All of the food is made to order and clearly freshly cooked with the best ingredients.

We are here with another couple and we’re looked after by all the staff really very well.

We can recommend the Balmoral Chicken and the Cheesecake.  Both absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed.
