Great location for a wedding I attended. Really friendly staff especially Kirsty who let me have my room a little earlier before early check in. Would recommend for the price. Bed was comfy and very quiet even though next to the road so had a great nights sleep. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Friendly staff and good location.

Staff are really really friendly and make you feel so welcome. Honestly I've Never been to a hotel like it. Room is very clean , road noise isn't too bad. Nothings too much trouble. Brilliant hotel. Best hotel I've stayed in. Thank you to all the staff and the manager.

Best lodge I've been to!

The person staying in the romed before us smoked and got wasted. The room (particularly the bathroom) had an awful smell of tobacco and vomit. There was vomit on some of the walls next to the bed and carpet. The staff had left both windows open to little avail. Because of the rain, the kids' bed by the window was wet and the room was damp and cold. Last week we stayed 5 nights at different Travelodge and all were fine but the Stoney Cross establishment was extremely dissapointing.

Damp, foul tobacco smell and vomit on walls

We were initially given rooms next to the main road ...... and quickly found that despite triple glazing we were unable to sleep due being a light sleeper and the traffic noise. ( My son next door was fine with it ).

The staff were great and  found a quieter room when requested however .... 


Adequate as long as you don't get a room next to the main road !

The Travelodge is basic but cheap. It provided a convenient stay whilst I was in the New Forest for work. It is on a busy noisy road so I requested a room at the back which was quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Great front desk service, very helpful staff. Also the room was very clean! I found that the online booking system was great and so easy! The car park was nice and tidy.  The sheets were very very clean and the fragrance was nice too. Will be visiting this hotel if in the area again

Great service

Room smelt damp and very fousty, resulting in getting down my throat and causing a cough all night, coupled with the traffic noise on march n road right along the side of the building where the room we were given was.

Terrible night

Check in was easy and friendly lady on reception was very helpful giving us a list of near pubs and restaurants where we could get breakfast in the morning. The lodge was very modern and clean as was the bedroom and en suite bathroom. Had a very pleasant overnight stay. Plenty of free parking too. 

Excellent Travel Lodge

I don’t normally leave reviews but reading a few of the previous reviews I find them to be untrue and unfair. After staying at the hotel this summer I found everything to be exactly as advertised. Yes the hotel is situated next to the road so expected road noise - which actually is not that bad at all. Hotel was clean, stocked well and staff happy to give extra of anything needed. All staff I came across were friendly and helpful and were willing to have a general conversation and a laugh. Surprisingly there is a pub within walking distance after asking staff where and what was local  - amazing what you can find if you just ask the staff for directions and attractions. Manager was lovely and very hands on working hard and often saw her cleaning the rooms during our stay. A very welcoming and friendly hotel. Will be back thank you again Stoney cross will see you at the end of the year.

Strongly recommend amazing staff

So, this hotel has cons, and pros, as does every location!
The only con I found was the location, its by a road side but I am aware of that when booking, its hard to completely drown out the noise from the motorway, but it is exactly what it is!

The pros, the hotel it looks pretty brand new, I am unsure if it had  a refurb or a complete remodel, but it was nice to see, having stayed in some run down travelodges i am hopeful this is the new standard.
The staff were top notch, it felt like they genuinely care.
