We stayed here for 2 nights in August and had a lovely stay. 

There is private parking at the b&b and it is only a short walk to the restaurants and bars.

Hosts Lorna and Steve were lovely and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. 
The b&b is beautiful, gorgeous house with a terrace overlooking the river where u can bring your own alcohol and sit out and enjoy the scenery.

Our room was a lovely size, comfy bed, had everything we needed.
Breakfast here was really good. The full English breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. 

Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area. 

Fantastic stay

Excellent bed and breakfast. Lorna and Steve great hosts. Always willing to help and chat, nothing to much trouble.
Perfect position on the river, close to village and harbour. Lovely terrace overlooking the river where you are invited to take your own drinks. 
Rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Our room - room 5 - had 2 windows with views down the river.
Breakfast by Steve was really good - cooked to order. Fresh fruit, croissants, cereals and fruit juice were available.
Lovely walk along the river to Watersmeet about 2.5 miles where there is a National Trust cafe - we got a taxi back for £6.
Purchased a North Devon Parking pass which covered many of the car parks in the area including the one next to the hotel.
Lots of places to visit. We went to Dunster Castle and Watchett on the way down and Appledore, Mortehoe, Valley of the Rocks, Arlington House, Lynton, Ilfracombe and Coombe Martin during our stay.
Ate out at the Old Bank, Lynton, twice at the Bay View, Lynmouth, harbourside fish and chip shop which were all really good. 
Will definitely stay again.



Excellent bed and breakfast 

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was amazing. From the time of booking Steve and Lorna were great hosts. Had an email telling us about the onsite parking and also when we were travelling down Lorna phoned to see what time roughly we would be arriving. On arrival we were met by Steve who showed us where to park and took our cases up to our room for us whist we chatted with Lorna who showed us around and made us a lovely cup of tea which we had out on the terrace and Lorna told us all about the local area. Lovely lounge area to sit, breakfast room and the beautiful terrace to sit out in in fhe good weather with lovely views. We were in room 6 at the top and had views to the sea and also the river. Very comfortable bed, lovely room with wardrobe and plenty of drawer space and tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries. Breakfast served between 8.30.and 9.15 made by Steve and wow what a breakfast. Keeps you going all day. This guesthouse is a little gem and we will be returning. Thank you Lorna and Steve.

Amazing

What a amazing stay, hotel is beautiful and clean and very cosy.The owners Lorna & Steve are absolutely fantastic….so welcoming, the breakfast is outstanding and cooked to perfection. East lyn house is how a b&b / hotel should be , You will not be disappointed.

Perfect

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay.  Lorna and Steve were wonderful hosts. The house was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the view from my from room of the river was simply gorgeous. The breakfast room is light and welcoming and the terrace is a lovely option if the weather allows. Breakfast was excellent, with several different options and my bed was very comfy; I slept really well. It's a very short stroll  into Lynmouth and the surrounding area is truly stunning - Exmoor, The South West Coast Path, Watersmeet, The Valley of the Rocks, Heddon's Mouth...fantastic!

Wonderful Guesthouse!

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast house, this was our second visit to this B&B.The hosts Lorna and Steve were brilliant, they couldn’t have been any friendlier. The whole place was very clean and tidy With really comfortable beds that had Egyptian cotton sheets & they serve the most amazing breakfasts too. Ideally situated on the North Devon coast there are lots of excellent places to eat in the evening. You’d be hard pushed to find anywhere as lovely as this place, thoroughly recommend it.

The best place to stay in Devon.

This is our second stay at East Lyn House this summer. We loved it so much the first time, we had to come back.  Great location, not too close to be noisy, but close enough to walk everywhere. Parking is a bonus. Lovely rooms with great views and the best terrace in Lynmouth. Breakfast on the terrace is a must. The owners, Lorna and Steve are wonderful, you couldn't ask for more. Breakfasts a la Steve are superb and super host Lorna really looked after us. It's a home from home and we would visit monthly if we could. Great restaurants, great walks, beautiful scenery. A perfect place to relax, unwind and recharge. We will be back!

Another Perfect Stay

Just had another stay at East Lyn House, in Lynmouth, what can I say?  Just as before brilliant.  Location, right in the mix, room, comfortable and clean with great views of the river and the town. Breakfast has everything you need and sets you up for the day.  Steve and Lorna were great hosts (Steve does a mean breakfast).  We were lucky to be there for the raft race which was great fun.  Things to do, walking, Watersmeet and Valley of the Rocks are brilliant and we were lucky enough to see the Mini’s (cars) event with over 200 of the icons all decked out.  Then there’s the cricket, which was good to watch on probably the best local cricket ground location in the country.  This is one of those places where you need to revisit every once in a while.  We had a great time.

Visit to East Lyn House August 2022

My husband and I always enjoy visiting this quaint picturesque little town. It just ticks all the boxes for us. Fly fishing, good pubs/food and a breathtaking scenery. East Lyn House is absolutely beautiful. Lorna, Steve and Inky the dog were just amazing hosts. Beautiful rooms, fantastic breakfast and a terrace to die for! I’ve just hit home and will be booking for next year…….direct!

Absolutely wonderful!

We stayed at East Lyn House in June 2022 and loved everything about our stay. Our hosts were super friendly and very accommodating.  They let us get in early with a parking spot which we really appreciated.  The room was clean and quiet and breakfast was everything you could ask for.  The town of Lynton and Lynmouth were lovely to explore and there are nearby trails for walking and sight-seeing (we really loved the Valley or Rocks coastal walk).  Overall we loved our stay.  L&S Canada.
