We have been going to Wilsham Farm for several years now and enjoy our peaceful country stays. The rooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable. We love the peace and quiet and really enjoy the indoor swimming pool. Mrs and Mr Organ prepare a wonderful breakfast with local fruit and delicious farm produce. We also go horse riding and enjoy the fabulous views from the Valley of the Rocks and the meals at the Blue Ball Inn. We very much recommend the place.

We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our stay at Wilsham Farm.  Richard was amusing and exceptionally helpful.  Jane's breakfasts were fit for a king (and Queen).  It's a lovely setting and we think you'd find few better.

A great relaxing and enjoyable stay

We find it hard to believe a few critical reviews that we read before a 4 night stay at this lovely b&b . We are and never will be pre-judgmental to anyone  unless they are personal against us , with that in mine we arrived here and to the day we left never a problem . Richard was very thorough with showing our room and explaining the basics and the breakfast rules . Loved the location breakfast was fine followed by their wonderful home made bread in which if you wanted more he duly obliged . All the time we were here we never got offended by Richards passionate attitude and the way his system in place worked...no hesitation in stopping here again...cheers Richard & Jayne thanks for being good hosts !!

a Wilsham Wonder

Catalogue of disasters from beginning to end. A humourless Basil Fawlty, the host was very rude, hostile even, unhelpful, unfriendly and with his rules and regulations like a sergeant-major. The only saving factor was the indoor swimming pool although that needed revamping as it was tired, scruffy and with dead insects left around the sides.  The views over the hills were lovely, we felt intimidated by the host's attitudes and rules though. Even the breakfasts, with a limited offering, were regimented with toast only offered at the end, not earlier!

Avoid this place

We had a lovely week as a family with our dog here. Shame about the weather but we made the most of what we could!
Good places to eat are The Blue Ball inn and Black Venus if you want really good pub food.
Richard gave us all a delicious cooked breakfast every morning which was faultless. He is an excellent cook. He told us he makes the bread himself, all the food is local and the eggs were freshly laid that morning. The kids loved coming down in the morning. We also had toast and cereals to choose from. Tea and coffee and a glass of juice each. 
Our two rooms were clean and what we would expect from a farm house in the country. We loved the four poster beds and the crispy white sheets. The bathroom was big and very clean and we were lucky enough to have a bath and a separate shower in our room Watersmeet. My husband and son had the Stags rest room, which was light and airy, but my daughter and myself preferred our bathroom and we had a small lounge area inbetween which we enjoyed. 
The pool was available when we wanted to use it and the children enjoyed this when the weather was miserable outside. We were told though that after 7pm if we wanted the pool we would have to be quiet, as there have been complaints before. The sound travels well, so I can see why. 
Thanks Richard for a lovely stay. We loved your stories and wish we had heard more about your life! Your breakfasts were amazing! I'm going to have to try and live up to your standards now I'm home! 

Lovely stay at a traditional Devonshire farm house

4 rooms, if you get The Twin/Double run for the hills.
It's substandard and in need of plenty of repair.
The electic's are questionable.
The Room is not as described on the website.
The luxury soaps etc. was a large bottle of body wash to share.
The breakfast was good on the first morning, but on the second morning i removed 3 human hairs from my food.
Conservatory where breakfast was served had a lot of fly's and the ceiling blinds where full of dead one's.
One morning a dead fly dropped on my wife.
The Pool was tired and again full of dead bugs.
I feel the owners have stopped caring and just going through the paces.

Views amazing, owners I think have lost interest.

Went as a couple with a dog to a supposedly dog friendly abode, far from it. Dog excretion all over the place, no locks on the door to the room and a host who picked fault with everything and everyone. Expected one to put our dog in our vehicle whilst we used the not exactly clean indoor pool and moaned because the dog had jumped up on the bed.
Directions to local hostelry meant wading through thick mud on the way to the hostelry and a £10 taxi fare to get back, appalling to expect people to try and climb back up the hill in the dark but typical of the stupid attitude of the host who apparently keeps a tight ship but not for ****s like us was the voicemail he left in response to negative review on Booking. Come.

Flatters to deceive

A beautiful farmhouse in an idyllic location. Accommodation was comfortable, we even had a four poster bed.
Richard was a great host, who was happy to seat us for an early breakfast so our dog could join us- she even got a big biscuit!
The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection.
A wonderful few days in Devon, and a great base for exploring the north Devon coast.

Blissful isolation

We visited this nice farm for a break away with the dogs. Had a nice time but unfortunately left an expensive jacket and shirt behind. I sent a bag but didn't receive the jacket. When I called the gentleman told me they threw it away!! An £80 brand new joules jacket (really). The lady then told me she had taken it to a charity shop but couldn't remember which one or where! Thia kind of behaviour is disgraceful and unacceptable. They had our number and could have called if the bag didn't arrive. I would have gone back to collect it. She said she didn't have room to store it but it's a blazer and given the size of the farm I don't believe this.
Would never stay again and even with a beautiful location the owners behaviour is unacceptable.

Disgusting people!!!

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed it. Richard was very welcoming and the accommodation was superb. Comfy room and bed, excellent breakfast and wonderful views. Very quiet - get away from it all, but not too far from the nearest pub for evening meal. Overall it was a very pleasant break
