Superb place to stay for the Shooting Estate next door -  Food excellent - Owners so polite and great advice and all staff so kind and everything done for you - nothing too much trouble at all -  Would we recommend - oh yes 100 per cent - would we stay again - oh yes 100 percent -  will we go back - most definitely  -  the breakfast was amazing and so quickly done and we loved it - thank you so much for the lovely weekend

Couple - Jan 2024 - Shooting Season

We had dinner here recently and it was great! Friendly, helpful staff and the food was delicious. It's also really cosy and warm on a cold and wet January evening! We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

Lovely 

I was on my way from north to south Wales and really needed to pop to the toilet. I have Crohn’s disease and often need to find a toilet quick smart. The ladies inside were lovely as I wasn’t a customer but they had no problems with me using their toilet. Often places refuse and even if I get my ‘can’t wait card ‘ out they still refuse unless you are purchasing. Very friendly, very helpful and helped me avoid any unwanted issues. Thank you ladies so much xx

Sue and her team made us very welcome and the service was fantastic.

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful nights at this cozy and welcoming Inn!
The Inn is nestled in the gorgeous  verdant  green Welsh countryside . We explored the area and walked up to Bron Yr Aur  .  The Autumn colors were just exquisite and the tiny country roads with hedgerows and sheep everywhere were full of character and color. 
The rooms at the Inn are very well kept, clean, nicely designed and the bed very comfortable.  
The food is amazing , we enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners….Smoked Salmon and Haddock, tender meats, delicious homemade soups  and bread,  Roasted chicken  and Lamb … with roasted potatoes and seasonal veggies,  everything was so good!   
The staff was so kind and accommodating .  We enjoyed our chat with Kevin the owner , he is a great storyteller and was happy to help us plan our day and give us information about the area. 
There is several public sitting rooms  in the inn that you can relax in and read or watch TV.  
We were so happy to find this gem and highly recommend it as the finest place to stay in the area, It is the perfect base!

Wonderful experience, lovely warm welcome from the amazing staff upon arrival. Restaurant was top notch with a wide selection of food, cooked really well and good value for money 

Accommodation well recommended with the room being clean, tidy, comfortable and warm. Great Breakfast included to start our day

Wonderful hotel in Wales

We stayed at this beautiful inn, having two rooms to fit our family

We found both rooms great with comfortable beds and good showers and bathrooms

The inn was very accommodating for dogs

Very friendly staff made for a great stay in the homely inn for couples and hikers with dogs

The food both at our evening meal and at the breakfast was really very good. Good selection for vegetarian dishes as well

We will definitely be returning

Meal was cold and slot was pre-prepared. Tin foil found inside beef. I complained to staff and emailed them first. Nothing was done and no apologie or recognition of mistakes made. I will not be returning.

BAD FOOD

Booked Sunday lunch en route back to Worcestershire after a long weekend away. Although we have called into the Brigands Inn  several times over the last few years, and always had good food, we’ve not had Sunday lunch before.

We were very impressed with the outstanding hot smoked salmon and open ravioli with prawns and cream sauce served with French beans and sugar snap peas. Husband had brisket that had been cooked over vegetables, also very good. Dessert of pears poached in red wine with winter berry sorbet was also excellent. All of this and two drinks for £41  (we also left a tip as service was not included) - amazing!

Friendly staff and a very welcoming environment in an old well maintained coaching inn.

All in all, I thoroughly recommend a meal here.

What an amazing  pub/horel  every single thing down to the meals and gorgeous  breakfast  was lovley stayed in beautiful  room with lovley  bed sofa bathroom  tv and all tea  making down to lovley shortbread within your room. The owners are lovley and staff are lovley and cant do enough for you, we have never tasted such gorgeous  food  every nit of food was gorgeous  and our doberman Essie was allowed  to lay with us at meals which she loved and she  made  many friends we cant recomed  this  place enough we stayed 4 nights after a  holiday in Dorset  we love snowdonia  this is our perfect pub never tasted food like this anywhere  we are looking for my birthday in june we cant wait to return to this  beautiful  place  dont chage a thing Brigands yor perfect, from Julie and Simon and Essie doggy ❤  see you soon x
