So the good things: We loved the room, it was cosy, clean & had everything we needed. We only had to ask if we needed anything else like extra tea & milk & sugar & a hairdryer. Location was good but nothing much around it.

The bad things: My first impressions were not great because they'd sent me an email confirming I'd booked 2 singles instead of the double that I'd booked. When I called the lady, she insisted it was a double & "I would know, I'm the owner". However it took 5 more emails for her to confirm that anything other than verbally. All I wanted was an email saying it was a double bed not 2 singles. And she did not have very good hospitality manner throughout this process. This continued to be a problem when she refused for us to store our luggage in the guest house after we'd have checked out at 11am, since we couldn't just 'put it in the car' as we did not drive there, and had to carry it around instead for the 2nd day. Her exact words on the phone was "That's not my problem. Are you still coming?" And this was after the date when we could have backed out and kept our money. So of course we were coming but we weren't happy about it.

Ended up here after a blip with another booking (not down to this hotel) 
Very accommodating sorting us out very last minute and the room had everything we needed. 
Lovely little village pub just down the road too.

Lovely little hotel

Stayed at the Old Police House with my partner while we were visiting the Big Cat Sanctuary near by. Well located for this and had plenty of free parking. The room (number 5) was lovely, wonderful view over the fields at the back of the property, and the roll top bath was perfect for cooling off after a sweltering hot day. No fan in the room, these had to be asked for, which was a surprise given the record breaking heat. Our stay was slightly let down by the customer service. We weren't told about arrangements for getting in and out the front door on arrival. We had a long wait for breakfast (30 minutes plus) both days, despite being asked to pre order amf specify a time the night before. There was no self service coffee available the second morning and no chance to request that it was refilled as the owners were so obviously busy on the kitchen and stressed by trying to manage the food orders. Breakfast was nice when it did arrive, although the other two couples were told their breakfast would not be served at all, as there was no ingredients left. No alternative was suggested, leading to some very unhappy customers. In summary, a beautiful place, but missing the friendly, welcoming atmosphere we'd hoped for. Other reviews would suggest this is not usually the case, so hopefully just a blip for this lovely property.

Lovely place, mixed experience

This was our first visit to The Old Police house and we were not disappointed. The room we had was on the ground floor. It was next to the reception, so you were disturbed by people entering or leaving, but this was not a major issue. The room was clean and tidy and spacious. A large flat screen TV was mounted in a suitable position for viewing from the bed and there was access to the garden from the bedroom. The garden is well maintained with chairs and a table to sit out and enjoy the birdsong and tranquillity.
The breakfasts were wonderful ranging from full English to Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and Continental as required. Toast and cereals are also available and self serve. We will certainly stay there again when visiting Kent. We highly recommend visiting Hever Castle. Although difficult to find via your satnav it is well worth a visit especially if you are an NT member. Leeds Castle is nearby, but highly overpriced at 
c£22.00 pp.

Lovely room and excellent breakfasts.

This place is ideal for a short stay in Maidstone as it's on the outskirts has a nice private garden leading off the room even by main road couldn't hear the traffic I will definitely stay hear again but I'll bring own toilet paper as the one supplied is not deluxe 

Great little place 

Visited over the weekend for 1 nights stay which was such a cosy place. Our room was a good size and shower was really refreshing to use. Local to walk to nearest pub "The Plough". Plus was really affordable to book so
will visit again.

Cosy

We chose the B and B for its location. Surprisingly good sized room and comfortable bed. Bathroom was also a good size. Breakfast was average with help yourself to cereal and toast but no fruit. Cooked breakfast was available and fine. They offer evening meal but we brought our own which we ate in the breakfast room, which was fine. The main weakness was the light coming into the bedroom through the (closed) bathroom blinds, which prevented me from sleeping one night. 

Good sized room

Stylishly decorated, very comfortable beds, possibility of preparing tea and coffee in the room, parking directly at the house, very nice hostess, good breakfast (optional continental or English). In the immediate vicinity of Kent Castle.

Oasis on its way to the Eurotunnel

This B&B is a wonderful and breathtaking place. We decided to make a quick decision to extend our stay. And yes, we are happy to admit: it was the rooms, the wonderful garden, the nature around us and the lovely staff!

Oh, how romantic!

Very nice hostess, family atmosphere in only 5 rooms... quietly situated. Modern, large room with view of the garden with chicken coop! :) breakfast classic English or continental, both fresh and delicious! great location next to the Leeds castle. in good weather beautiful! good pub on foot :) there is a parking space where you can definitely find space! overall top bed&breakfast!
