Bedrooms shabby, remote locations cation unfriendly welcome, give it a miss. Premier Inn it isn't.
Funnily enough a dress code is in existence, but doesn't extend to the sleeping accomodation. Decoration is poor, wardrobes are non existent. Far better to spend money on a town centre hotel with modern conveniences.

First visit to Miller and Carter and it was 10/10. Our waiter was 5 star service. So informative and giving us advice for our orders, made the experience all that more enjoyable! Food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great! I’ve taken a picture of the review card of the waiters name, he provided excellent service!! Will most definitely be returning.

First visit to Miller and Carter

We chose this accommodation as a stopover, with a restaurant attached, so as not to be too far from the Eurotunnel. The double room was very spacious and bright, comfortable beds, well-functioning Wi-Fi, all clean and cozy. There was no phon (but on request they certainly provide it), the room was a little warm given the time, there were no ventilators. There was a bit of noise from the street and people chatting.

A good hotel as a stopover

This was our third and best visit.. food was cooked to perfection, it melted in the mouth! We had a new waitress Zoe who was absolutely amazing, as was her mentor, Spud. They made my birthday night amazing! Cannot fault our experience at all. Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. Will definitely return. 

Best birthday meal!


The waitress Spud was fantastic. She showed an exceptional level of knowledge regarding the different cuts of meat and speciality dishes. Spud was friendly, personable and repeatedly made everyone at the table laugh. She checked in on our meal regularly, and ensured that not only were we happy with the quality of the food, but that we had all the necessary condiments we needed. Spud was clean and well presented and had evidently taken pride in her uniform and looked the part. Fantastic waitress, would go back just to be served by her again. 

Fantastic customer service 

Friendly staff, large clean room, easy parking, close to the town centre and excellent food. 

Everyone took the time to speak to us which is a breath of fresh air these days! Couldn’t have asked for more from this stay, we will be back thank you so much!

On visiting Miller and Carter at Maidstone for a casual midweek  meal
My husband and I both ordered filet steak I ordered mine rare and my husband ordered medium 
When mine  came I called the waitress to say my steak was supposed to be rare she apologised took my plate and returned a few minutes later my steak had been cut in half and I was told the chef said it was rare
I was horrified but was so hungry I ate it .
The manager came over and I explained she said I totally disagree with you the steak was cooked rare what manager would say that I wasn't asking for a discount I was stating how I found my food .
A very dissapkinting visit and not the sort of thing I would expect to hear from one of your managers .

Disappointing meal would not recommend

Had a bit of stress trying to check in as their payment system was down and we were not allowed access to the rooms unless payment was made. We had a booking that evening so needed access to freshen up and leave our bags somewhere safe. Fortunately, with some persuasion, we were able to get access (they locked the door after - we didn’t have the key).

On our last day there was a fire alarm test that we were not informed about. This caused lots of unnecessary stress.

There was one member of staff who stood out - thank you Erin. 

Good but rocky start/end

Absolutely faultless experience.
This was my first ever experience in a Miller & Carter and it was just perfect.
We was greeted by some friendly staff and our waitress Spud was flawless.
Spud was attentive and courteous, it made the whole process very easy for choosing the correct steak and accompaniments for me. 
Spud has a great sense humour and rapport with her guests and she is a real asset to your company

5* Food 5* Service

Clean and comfortable in the centre. With free indoor parking. Comfortable beds, spacious and pleasant rooms. Spacious and newly renovated bathroom with excellent products available. Breakfast cooked at international times and abundant and good English.
