Very comfortable, spotlessly clean spacious single room -  super bed! Woke up feeling refreshed and renewed after a busy, stressful day.Friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate my special  request.  Thank you to all staff . 

Jut what we needed. 

This was our second time at the marine what a lovely hotel staff so helpful and the hotel is spotless and the breakfast was lovely just wish I could book a winter stay but think it's shut for winter but we will be back

Great stay thankyou marine hotel

A really enjoyable overnighter at the Marine Hotel Mallaig. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient, so a warm welcome. The single room was a great size with large ensuite. The single bed was very comfortable. The room and hotel is very clean. It was very quiet in the room which was great. It seems to have been recently decorated so was fresh. There is a vegetarian selection for breakfast which was nicely presented and tasty. There is also an option to store luggage there which is very helpful with travel from Mallaig later in day, 

A really enjoyable overnighter at the Marine Hotel Mallaig

This was the best option for a location with fairly limited availability. It was a lot bigger than it looked on the outside and was fully booked, but was surprisingly quiet. We were told before arriving at the hotel that unfortunately the chef was not available for breakfast so were refunded a part of the cost due to the lack of it. Very limited parking for such a big hotel, but we managed to bag a spot luckily. Very conveniently located and a couple of great options for food nearby and a great pub around the corner too. Convenient for the ferry port too if you are heading over to Skye or the small islands.

The view from the window of the bedroom was a wall! About 6 inches away from the window. The bathroom window looked over the railway station, which gave us an alarm call at 6am the following morning when the train that must have been stabled there overnight started up. Luckily we had an early start that day anyway....

This was an amazing stay. I can honestly say the staff were outstanding, really lovely people.
I can't fault the Marine Hotel, it was immaculate and location was fabulous!

Over all fantastic trip

Very centrally located, super clean hotel in Mallaig! The hotel building is a bit winding in itself, which contributes to comfort! It is modern and very clean, the staff is super friendly! Even at breakfast we have nothing to lack! We would recommend the hotel further!

a train trip to mallaig,was on our bucket list to do.. property very close to station, had booked a  second floor room with a sea view,  room was terrific,clean with a shower cubicle and a lovely bed.staff were very friendly and helpfull to us.
would definately stay in this hotel again,on a visit to mallaig,or a stopover to the islands.

If you are looking for a hotel with exceptionally high standards of friendliness, cleanliness and service in Mallaig  The Marine Hotel  is for you.  We received a warm welcome and that friendliness was maintained throughout our five night stay. All the staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is conveniently located by the station and close to all the amenities in Mallaig.  Our ensuite room was bright, modern and beautifully clean.  We could see the Isles of Skye, Eigg and Rum and we didn't hear any trains.
The hotel is undergoing renovation, but that is not intrusive on guests.
The delicious breakfast was served in a very pleasant dining room.  Other meals were not available at the time of our visit (May 2022) but when renovations are complete there will be a bar and other meals available. There are several other restaurants nearby.  We happily recommend the Marine Hotel.

I would most definitely recommend the Marine Hotel, great location, comfy beds, amazing breakfast and very friendly staff.
On arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and check in was quick, just what we needed after a long car journey!
The room we stayed in was a family room, was a great size and spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds, it looked like the hotel has maybe recently been refurbished.
Breakfast the next morning was tasty and again nothing was to much trouble. The location of this hotel is brilliant, right beside the train station and ferry terminal. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay again!

A great stay !

A little overpriced I felt. Basic, very clean though. Location very good, very close to station - sadly meant we were woken at 5:40 AM by the 1st train! Hotel did supply ear plugs, which I used and fell out. 
Breakfast good, knowledges of gluten free foods. 
A little impersonal as requests for breakfast were written on sheet, probably safer during covid- left a little impersonal touch
