£6.70 for a Guinness that was nowhere near as good as it was when I've visited before.
Sadly , I and my friends agreed we won't be going again as that is a scandalous price for a pint in a pub in the North of England.

One pint and done

Nice cosy place, really good Guinness and shocked to see Galway ales on tap which I've never seen outside of Ireland before. Friendly staff and Irish music gives you a taste of home. Definitely going back.

A taste of Ireland 

Great Guinness, pulled correctly. Very atmospheric place. Got a table in a booth that was cosy. Only negative is it is costly for a round. But for the odd occasion worth it. We will definitely be back, when in Manchester again for a few pints of the black stuff.

Called in for a few pints with some friends after work. We found a quiet booth away from the chaos and thought what a lovely place for a quiet drink. But five pints for £31.... I nearly choked on my Guiness.

This alone puts me off returning, no matter how good a pint of Guiness it was.



£6 a pint!

Popped in for a pint of IPA and a medium glass of dry white wine. The bill? £13!!! Couldnt believe it when my husband told me later how much the drinks cost. Won't be popping in again anytime soon. Would advise you check the prices before you order!

It's cheaper in Qatar

Do not stay here if you like your sleep even on the top floor,  even though the room provides ear plugs you can still hear the loud music, then before you feel you've been asleep the barrels for the cellar are rolling around from around 5am for a good hour or 2. 
Don't let that stop you going to the very busy pub because that £6 pint or Guinness is worth every penny,  atmosphere really good and doorman such a friendly fella with everyone.

No sleep but good Guinness 

The noisiest Hotel I've ever stayed at. The ear plugs do nothing. Music until 1am that was so loud and then they start rolling the beer legs along the street and dumping stuff into the bins from around 4am. It says on the website that the hotel is loved by business travellers in the week. Nonsense. 

No sleep

Well we visited on a Saturday before the United v Leicester match in April first and foremost very expensive £8 for a bottle of corona and a coke. But my friend started feeling very warm and faint so she went outside to cool down and the attention and support she received from the doorman was excellent he looked after her and arranged for her to have a glass of water. Don't know his name but he had being involved in something or other in the pub and had lost some teeth but he was a credit to his company and pub.

We arrived and popped into the bar, we were welcomed by a lovely gent who showed us up to our room. The decor was lovely, modern. Tv in room and free WiFi. The breakfast was carefully set out for the following morning with a mini fridge containing milk, yoghurts and butter. Very thoughtful! Pastries, cereal and fruit were all included also, along with fruit juices. The shower was wonderfully hot. The location was about 5 minutes from where we needed to be for the evening so suited us down to the ground. Checkout was putting a key in their post box so dump and run which was convenient. Overall, a wonderful stay. Bargain for what we paid and we will be back. Thankyou!

This is a place we visit as often as possible and we always have a great time there when we do. It is a pub with real character and has a fantastic atmosphere nearly every time you go in.

This latest visit was on a Thursday afternoon and it was great fun.

On this occasion, the TVs were showing the day is racing but it is often football when that is on.

The pub is done out brilliantly with the sporting and Mancunian theme which works really well. They have the best Guinness I’ve tasted in the area and also other excellent beers.

The service is really friendly as well so it is definitely worth a visit.
