Stayed here as we went to a gig on the 26th August.
Was a bit nervous to stay here because of previous reviews.

However, this place is absolutely faultless.

Staff went above and beyond, moved cars around in the car park to ensure we had a parking space. 
They were extremely helpful and friendly. Little touches such as bottles of water and biscuits in the room.

Lots of ubers in the area, lots of take aways and a wetherspoons a 15 minute walk away!

Rooms big enough for what we needed.
Rooms were clean

Absolute bargain too, just over £100 other hotels for that night wants £300+

We would definitely stay here again.

Cheap and cheerful

Stayed overnight as planned event at bridgewater Hall. Very pleasant greeting on arrival and very helpful with travel advice and was offered printed directions (WOW above and beyond) a lovely simple but airy room , simple but everything you needed. Felt welcomed and nothing too much trouble. On arrival given Wifi details, most places you have to ask! but not here.  Fab Breakfast and staff in the morning ,offered great choice. Simple no worries from check in to check out. HIGHLY recommend , very central for bus service to Central. Even though in Residential area and very close to the Curry Mile ,its extremely quite , had a great sleep no noise at all. Thank you xxx

recommended nice place to stay

Stayed for one night,Had tickets for an event at the O2 Apollo,Well located for this being only a mile (20-25min ) walk away.Room was nice and spacious and clean.
Only gripe would be the fact the cooked breakfast was minus the Bacon  and Pork sausage..

VALUE FOR MONEY

This hotel offers good value for money.  It's in a good location for getting into the centre (£1.50 single on the bus).  It's just off the curry mile and there is a Wetherspoons and lots of shops (Lidl, Tesco etc) nearby.  The staff are very helpful even checking the internet for you for information on where you are going. There is free parking which is one of the reasons we chose it as it seems unusual in the area.

Good value for money

Stayed here for a gig at 02 Ritz. Not far from the city centre and located on a nice crescent with off road parking. Room was clean and beds nice, but a settee in between the two beds took up space that could have used a chest of drawers or something to put things on so you don't have to reach about.
Breakfast was Halal, which is fine by me, but seemed a bit undercooked.
I did ask for a hair dryer for my partner, and the man on the desk said he would bring one up, but that didn't happen. Bathroom was small, and shower tray showed signs of mould on the outside, no heating in bathroom so it was pretty cold in there.
An OK place, but think they need to slash prices in half. £75 a night is a bit much for what you get. £40 a night it should be. 

Not bad, but Pricey 

Good and clean place to stay.I didnt lije the fact that ask for to pay the wf 7 pounds a day and when i came back i saw in booking that is free.I didnt have breakfast but there was some tasful cookies and hot water for coffee.Thats good.

No free wf

This was not a good experience. The first issue we encountered was when we got back to the room in the evening we found the bathroom floor wet. We realised it was coming from the ceiling around the light fitting. We reported it to the hotel who apologised and investigated the rooms above us and said it was improper use of the water. They were redecorating some rooms near ours which is fine apart from the fact that they continued to do this, using a bench saw and a drill and listening to music whilst they work right up to midnight when it combined with whoever is above is doing what I can only describe as a conga line in military boots. We gave in and rang the office at 12 to complain and they said they'd sort it. Power tools stopped, conga line intensified. Seemed like these dudes were nocturnal or something. As for the basics. Cleanness 5/10 few hairs in the bedding, no towels provided. Facilities were a kettle and tea bags but milk of any kind. All of this and we paid £95 for privilege of being kept awake all night. Also some absolute [redacted] parked way to close to my car and dented it with their door  but I can't blame the hotel for that I suppose. Although the car park spaces are very tight.

I think we caught them at a bad time, at least I hope that's the case because out experience was the opposite of most's

Dirty room BLOOD ON FLOOR! Hole in wall bed frame broke tele doesn’t work men with balaclavas and knifes 10:32pm when went for a cig! Worse place ever should be ashamed. Wouldn’t let a dead dog be here honestly the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Wow. Smashed window covered with paper?

NIGHTMARE!!

I would rather live on street instead of being here there's bug infestations in some rooms and mice problems in others it got closed down few months ago by mcc for this problem and has been reopened but I have mice in my room and they ain't doing anything about it instead of coming here get ureself a tent and sleeping bag

I was working for the University and this was a convenient location for the Whitworth gallery.I paid £79 for 9 hours of stressful 'rest', no shower and no breakfast. This was not cheap and cheerful. It was expensive and stressful. 

When you arrive at the hotel and there is a police car outside this should have rung alarm bells especially when they are manhandling people off the property. I was greeted by a member of staff who told me there was no lift to my first floor room and breakfast wasn't served until 8am. I needed to be at a meeting for 8am - there was no option for early breakfast. 

I got to my room and was shocked. The smell was awful. I thought perhaps there was a chip shop outside the window but was horrified to find that the smell was coming from the kitchen below. I could smell it because there was a hole in the floor directly from my room down to over the kitchen friers. The walls were dirty the bathroom was grim,  the beds were dirty.  

I asked to change rooms, whilst I waited the police were still onsite and happily told me they visited the property a least a couple of times a week. I was told by reception staff they didn't have anything at all except for a room which was mid way through renovating. It was 10pm at night when I arrived and was in a position to look for alternative accommodation. I had pre-paid via booking.com so couldn't refuse to pay. In the end I took the partially refurbished room, the shower didn't work properly - only cold water, but at least the greasy smell was less.
In the morning I came down stairs to reception at 7am. The lights were off, reception  was empty and closed. The front door was locked with no way of getting out. I searched the hotel to find anyone who could help - in the end I found a member of staff on the sofa in the guest lounge sleeping and he let me out.  
I really hope that the owners have completely renovated the hotel since my stay and have researched what local B&Bs are providing for a similar price.
