Our first visit was as a couple on a wet afternoon earlier this week when we popped in on the off chance of a hot drink and a late lunch. We were offered a table with a perfect view and had a lovely lunch. What impressed us most was the friendliness of the staff and their sincerity - so much so we booked a table for today to come as a family to have an afternoon tea to finish off a week’s stay in Cornwall. 

So today we went back and while we had asked for a table with a view knowing it couldn’t be guaranteed, the staff were able to accommodate our request and also able to help with another request, without any issue. Our afternoon tea was perfect in terms of the variety of food, the quality of the food and the amount we had. We stayed for a couple of hours and never felt rushed. All the staff were polite and attentive, and again the service was perfect.

A lovely 3 course meal with friends, the potato dumpling starter was the nicest starter I had ever eaten, all of the food we had was delicious. The service was great and had a lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend for a nice dinner in marazion

Fantastic food

We have visited this hotel many times and it never fails to impress. There were 4 of us and a small dog. The location and cleanliness is first class. Special mention  to the team who go above and beyond to make your stay amazing.

Amazing Place!

Stunning views of St Michaels Mount, a bit more expensive than other places near by but your paying extra for the position and views. We had a really nice meal with a fabulous view of St Michael's Mount, it felt really special. The fish was expertly cooked and battered light. Had an issue with burnt potatoes but replaced efficiently, all in all a good experience with lovely staff.

Very disappointed. We have been lots of times as a family for coffee and loved it. However today was a windy day and the door was left open causing a through draft and it was freezing. The coffee was not hot enough!!! It seemed quite disorganised and there was no attention to detail.

My husband & I decided to pop into this lovely venue for a quick drink. As we entered a lady was giving the staff a 'briefing' she said "I'll be with you in a minute" we waited and waited. We have lots of patience and wasnt in a rush but she turned her back to us and continued to talk to the staff. We thought it was rude seems we were customers. Anyway, we waited that long we decided to go to the bar, bar staff were kind, told us to take a seat and they'd bring our drinks over. Took a seat, served our drinks then member of staff who was in the 'briefing' told us we couldn't sit where we were because it was already booked & asked us to move! Another group of elderly people were told the same. The bar staff were calling 'service' and there were no service because all the staff were in a 'briefing!' Paying customers were collecting their own drinks from the bar because all the staff were in the 'briefing'. We quickly finished our drinks, paid and left. 
Maybe the 'briefing' within the staff should be conducted before they start a shift, customers shouldn't ever have to wait and be made to feel they've done wrong for sitting down because the service is bad!  

Lovely bar staff, poor service 

Excellent restaurant, highly recommend it. Lovely views of St. Michael's Mount if you get the right table along with very good service and food of a high quality. Daily fish was good as was the ceaser salad and Burger. Highly recommended.


Superb restaurant

Beautiful place to stay. Right on the waters edge with a fabulous view of saint michaels mount. Having breakfast whilst watching the caste appear through the mist was amazing! The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant serves amazing breakfasts and evening meals and it’s very handy parking. Would stay there again. 
The only reasons for not giving five stars was that we really could have done with air conditioning, it was super hot and the fan in the room didn’t really cut it.

Beautiful hotel with a super view

We had booked all the rooms here at the Godolphin for a tour of the Scilly Isles. Great rooms, good staff and great welcome. Apart from the first breakfast ( we had a schedule to get out by) all meals and service were fab. Great location near the Heliport and only a taxi ride away. Lovely room overlooking the Mount and access to the water. Thanks! 

Great position for our requirements

Our second trip to the Godolphin. We picked it for this trip as we knew it is a dog-friendly hotel and we had recently acquired a new dog. The staff are excellent, nothing is a problem and they are attentive without being intrusive. The views from the sea-facing rooms, including the restaurant and outside dining are wonderful. Did I mention dog-friendly? Water bowl and treat on arrival, and offered every time we sat down to eat or drink. Dog bed, fleece blanket and food and water bowls in the room and no dog exclusion in public areas as long as they’re on a lead. Human friendly too, they have a lovely team, regrettably I didn’t get enough names to mention them all but Ellie on reception and Beth in Craby’s we had a lot of interaction with and they exemplify the standard of the hotel. Marazion has plenty of small lanes to explore, with ferry and foot access to St Michael’s Mount - be aware no dogs on the Mount. There are buses to other areas from the village if you don’t want to drive when staying here. We will happily return.
