Well sadly as much as I previously liked this characterful hostelry in Market Harborough, I was left disappointed by their attitude to our canine companion. Having frequented this space on previous occasions with our pooch I was a bit miffed to be refused entry on Xmas eve. Not that the pub was busy far from it! These days methinks that good business sense is to accommodate as far as reasonable. Of course not everyone likes dogs but we'd been served on other occasions. Lost about £70.00 there I'm afraid - get with it guys.

Disappointing

As an advocate of excellent customer service I fully recommend the service provided to me at a lunchtime bar meal by the lovely Jordan. He went out of his way to ensure everything was spot on for us, thank you Jordan Pearsall

Excellent customer service

We have just had our works party at The Angel Hotel.The bar had run out of many of the spirits when we arrived before 7 .one member asked for around 5 different drinks all of which they had run out offtwo of which were Tia Maria and Captain Morgans rum (pritty standard drinks).the xmas meal was ok but not very good value for money.The dance floor would have taken about 8 people dancing.Overall not impressed and wont be back.

Superb the room was laid out perfectly, the service was great and the food was lovely.

To serve food starters and mains to 53 people and keep it fresh and warm is just great, I even had a comment that they serve the best vegetarian food ever eaten.

Charter lunch

We really loved our stay at this wonderful hotel.  For taking care of business or pleasure in Market Harborough, the location cannot be better.  Our room was just as advertised, not to mention perfectly clean and comfortable.  
As foreigners, we really felt that we experienced English hospitality at it's finest, especially at the breakfast served by the hotel and in the evening enjoying a few pints in the hotel pub.  I say this because I honestly feel that the hotel staff is genuinely interested in making you feel special, appreciated, and welcome into their lives for the time of your stay.

Heartfelt English Hospitality

I came with friends on Friday 13 September as we were attending our church's Weekend Away nearby. The hotel is very central to Market Harborough and it was nice to be able to park so easily. We wanted only the bar menu and, as the bar was crowded, we were invited to use the snug, which was cosy, comfy and private. We all had the two course deal; the choice was good and the portions were particularly generous. We didn't visit other parts of the hotel so can't comment. What we experienced we enjoyed.

Just caught site of your Remembrance Day menu, "draped in mushroom sauce" " draped in tomato sauce" "sat on an leek % potato cassoulet"  I don't know what your chef is on but I recommend you try to wean him off it!

Although not as costly as some hotels on this area I did stay in the executive sweet as it was the only room left when I booked
It was a lovely big room though not sure all the empty space was necessary ! There was no bedside table and you had to get out of bed to reach the lamps that were on a wall unit behind the bed!
On the two nights I was there I tried to have a soak in the lovely big bath located in the roomy bathroom but only very cold to tepid water can out of the tap despite reporting it twice it was never fixed
They did give me a kettle after I told them I preferred this to the executive pod machine!
No soap in my room either until I asked 
My breakfast on Monday morning was ‘continental’ only so it must be the chefs day off. On the second day I had a lovely cooked breakfast, although the fruit salad to start with was fermenting and fizzy on  the tongue so left it after a few mouthfuls 
Reception ladies were lovely but there always seemed to be a crowd of them there with their kids as if it was a place they all liked to congregate 
Not a bad place but a bit more attention to detail would not go amiss and just one efficient girl on reception would go a long way to boost the image!

Sept angel hotel

Stayed here as needed somewhere local for a course I was on, such a lovely hotel, homely and friendly. The room was spotless and consisted of everything I needed. Food was great too. Slept very peacefully. It is situated in a great location too with the main town just along the road, re shops etc. The staff were extremely helpful and really went that extra mile to see I had all that I needed. A lovely hotel and pub/bar/restaurant all in one. Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 

Perfect stay ~ with all that you need 

It was ok but a long way from perfect. Very tiered hotel our room was very small and only had a velux roof window that was screwed shut so was very hot on a sunny day.
The whole place needs some input from the owners. It as though the owner don't know what is going on.

All other reviews that I have read regarding issues are unfortunately correct and not exaggerated. 
This is a hotel that I would not return to.
