We visited for our anniversary, evening meal, stay and breakfast.  A warm welcome and quick check in. The room was lovley with a large bathroom.  All extras provided in room like heater, fan, toiletries etc. The bed was very comfortable.  We had a table booked for 8pm, we had starters and main which was fantastic. The entire restaurant experience was perfect.
Comfortable stay and breakfast was great. Local produce and cooked really well. 
Overall a wonderful visit and I would recommend it to friends and family. 

Great experience 

We have both stayed and dined at this hotel many times over the years. Last evening on our way back from London we decided to have dinner there as it was always very good with very friendly and helpful staff. 

A Very Disappointing Experience 

Tried this restaurant for Sunday lunch because I had read it had been awarded a rosette.  We were impressed with the meal the food was excellent and the inside of the building but the outside needs some TLC.  The menu sign needed cleaning and also the paintwork and walls.  I appreciate there appears to be a pigeon problem in the area but a little bit of cleaning would make the place more attractive.

Good food

Spent two nights on their dinner bed and breakfast offer. Room 4 was very well appointed but not the most spacious it appears (don’t presume that if you book through booking.com you’ll get a king size bed as advertised on the site). Bit of a disappointment but didn’t spoil our stay. Comfy bed and good shower. Food was amazing, hotel is really nicely furnished. Staff were friendly. Would highly recommend. 

Lovely hotel with amazing food

A two night break here. Lovely big room with balcony. Bathroom with bath and shower over. Mattress felt soft at first but we have now decided that perhaps ours at home needs to be softer. Great sleep,though fan above window switches in at 6.30 am. Not an issue with light mornings but I imagine it could be in the winter months.
No parking on site but it is available close by.
Breakfast tasty, on nice hot plates. Our second breakfast we asked for the toast that comes with the cooked breakfast on a separate plate, the butter was melting on the hot plate the day before.

Excellent food and service--the food was so tasty- good valu and nothing to fault at all
Room very spacious clean- lovely bed- large bath and a good powerful shower..

The bar is warm and cosy- well stocked! Excellent Expresso Martini!

overnight stay- Monday quick break

Visited the hotel for Sunday lunch for best friends birthday as we were staying in the area,  on a long weekend break and the hotel was recommended.
I can honestly say it was one of the best, Sunday lunches we’ve ever had. The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection.  Great food at a great price and would not hesitate to recommend. 

Fantastic Sunday lunch

I used to stay at the Advocate quite regularly with work until my my areas changed but now they've changed again so I'll be staying at the Advocate whenever I'm in the Flatlands of Lincolncestershire. Great to be back after so long and good to see you again Kate AND you remembered me! Lovely comfy rooms, lovely food and friendly staff. Looking forward to my next stay.

Back at the Advocate after 4 years

Christmas Day Dinner at Advocate Arms.  Food was excellent, staff efficient & friendly.  Well done to Manager Katie, as all was so well organised & for creating such a good atmosphere.  Well done to everyone concerned.  Happy New Year to all staff.

Christmas Day Dinner

Our room was very clean and comfortable and most of the staff very friendly and welcoming.  The pub has a nice atmosphere.  We enjoyed our evening meal, but it was the breakfast which let the place down, particularly the service.  I ordered the Advocate Baked Eggs but was so surprised when it arrived because of the very small amount, especially compared to my partner's small English breakfast for the same price.  It had said "eggs" but it definitely came with only one egg.  To be fair, when I mentioned it, the staff did knock the price off the bill, and I only paid for the croissant they brought to supplement my breakfast.  I thank them for that. But the other issues were that things got brought in a strange order.  My partner ordered crumpets that arrived - on a cold plate -before he'd finished his cooked breakfast and by the time the staff realised they hadn't brought the preserves, the crumpets were cold.  It just didn't feel like things were quite in control somehow.  Next morning, we went elsewhere for breakfast...... We would like to compliment the man behind the bar at the pub though, he was very friendly and provided excellent service.  And we were pleased with our room.
