Went to our uncles wake here , I have to say great staff very help full, food great nothing to much trouble for them. The hot food was great , the sandwiches we fab to . We thank you everyone enjoyed it. 

Family Wake

My partner and I stayed at Fairways Lodge for one night following the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert. Having paid only £54 for the night, we had relatively low expectations, but were greeted with a comfortable bed, working television, and clean, spacious bathroom, and bedroom which was honestly all we could’ve asked for. We were even complemented with tea and coffee facilities in our bedroom which was greatly welcomed after a night out in Manchester.

Comfortable room at a low price!

We spent Mon-Fri at The Darcy VIP lodge on the Falsgrave site which was managed and run by Virginia and Miles Walker who were helpful and friendly attending to all tiny details and making us feel very welcome. Fully equipped first class 4 bedroomed lodge, accommodating 6 adults and X2 children under 3yrs. 
Views were lovely, site very peaceful, luxury of hot tub overlooking the views.

Stayed bed and breakfast  as attending family party. All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant . The first room we were offered was fine however as a ground floor room the windows had decorative window bars on (making it more secure from unwelcome visitors)  which I would not be happy in as quite claustrophobic. I was then offered another room which again was lovely- crisp white bedding , large wet room, lovely grey carpet. Yes it was just off reception and there was a bit of noise when we first when to bed but that’s other people not the hotel.Breakfast was really good and plentiful ( 2 of bacon sausage eggs- 1 black pudding 1 hash brown, beans, tomatoes ,and mushrooms followed by toast. The only strange thing was the tea or coffee was charged as an extra not provided within the breakfast. However great value for money and would definitely stay again. Agree some corridor carpet needs replacing but I can only comment on the rooms I was offered

Value hotel

I stay regularly at this hotel, at least once a week. I started working near to Manchester January 2023 and stayed in various hotels, Air B&Bs et. I was not keen on returning to any of them, until I found the Fairways.
After my first night I knew it was going to be where I wanted to return to. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Whilst the decor may be a little tired, that does not prevent me from feeling safe, welcomed and the room is clean. I regard it as value for money.
If the Fairways Lodge team are reading this - thank you - you do a great job :-)

 

I stay regularly here

Me and my friend had an overnight stay, the staff were friendly, the rooms are small but really clean, the bed was super comfortable, plenty of parking, for the price I was really impressed, I can’t somment on the food or waiting service as I didn’t have a meal there, the bar was lively

You get more than you pay for

The hotel is 3 stars. It is a nice hotel for a 3 star. The place is clean. Room felt like a premium Inn room which I felt reassuring. Nice staff . The hotel rates are excellent.  I would definitely stay there again.  It suited all  my needs 

I think the only thing I would have liked is an ironing facility in room 
Less noise in corridors in the middle of night 

Nice hotel 

I found this hotel prior to Xmas 2022 due to working in the area. 
And still staying here now. 
Rooms are very clean , warm , with complimentary tea and coffee.
Towels and soaps provided in clean pod en suite shower room. 
Gym facility is good , squash courts great , plenty of ( very popular ) exercise classes to participate in every night of the week.
Staff are second to none , all very friendly , very helpful (reception staff & bar staff ) along with the locals who use bar for drinks and food.
No complaints from me 👍🏼.

My stay

The bed was clean and comfortable. The en suite was serviceable but needed updating. Decor and minor repairs needed revealed the lack of attention given to the accommodation.  Broken towel rail, discoloured grout, poorly fixed wall lights and damage to desk/table top gave it a 'run down' feeling. Breakfast was not included but could be purchased at the bar.

Tired but serviceable

Bit surprised by some of the negative reviews on here.  This place is not posh or upmarket but it is perfectly clean, warm and safe.  Dated rooms yes, but loads of free parking and not a bad location next to a golf course.  You get what you pay for - I only paid £50 a night midweek and it is definitely worth that.  I found the room cosy and well lit, although I did notice the walls were thin and soundproofing not good.  The curtains were also thin, so if you are woken up by light in the morning, that could be an issue.  I will bring an eye mask next time - problem solved.  

In terms of location, it is reasonably close to town but not near a tram stop.  Without a car, you could either get a cab or catch fairly frequent buses from a stop 10 mins walk away on Bury New Road.   There's also a handy Sainsbury's Local there.  I also found the staff friendly and helpful.  It's not the Ritz, but there are definitely worse places to stay in Manchester,
