Stayed in an ensuite pod for 2 nights and we loved every second! The pod was immaculately clean, modern and had everything we needed. It was also surprisingly spacious and had a lovely covered decking area with chairs and a table. The park itself was well maintained and very quiet and peaceful. Only a 17 min drive to Aberdeen City centre. Have already recommended to others! 

Great Glamping Getaway!

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of July. I’ve since read the reviews describing the site as soulless and complaints regarding ducks. We booked camping with electric which is next to the pond but no midges!!! The ducks are so cute, they are friendly and they do come close, unfortunately despite many many signs guests continue to feed them however we enjoyed watching them and didn’t find them intrusive. And they did move so we could pitch. 

If you are looking for a noisyusy site with a club house and entertainment like Haven then this isn’t the site for you. If you want peace and quiet, not to be disturbed by groups camping together, drinking alcohol and talking till late; to be away from the busyness  of life then this is definitely the site for you. It’s beautiful, quiet, spotlessly clean. There’s hot water all day and the shower block isn’t closed for cleaning, the cleaners work round the guests which is a bonus. 

The customer service wasn’t open during our stay but we did phone for help and the staff were really helpful on the phone. 

The site is a short drive into Aberdeen 

We absolutely loved our stay and I’d highly recommend for a quiet break to recharge. I’ve camped my whole life and this was one of the nicest and cleanest sites I’ve been to. We would definitely go back and might try out the self catering options next time.

A little piece of paradise

Arrived here last Friday for 3 nights and we had booked a 2 bedroom caravan with a hot tub. The caravans with hot tubs here do not have an enclosed decking area attached so this was no good for us with the dog. I called head office and upgraded to a 4 bed deluxe lodge for the additional cost. I was brought the keys immediately to the lodge. My hot tub wasn’t going to be ready in lodge until the following day so I was allowed to use the original hot tub for the first night until mine was ready. I found the staff all friendly and helpful and I would all go out of their way to help out. This is a very relaxed place and there is no bar or restaurant on site so if you are looking for somewhere to stay that’s quiet and relaxed and you are happy to cook for yourself then this is the place for you.

Lovely long weekend

Good site with great spotless facilities and large pitches. However the introduction of email information and automated entrance is just the start of the non personable experience. In other words. get on your pitch and get on with it ! 
Reception advertises its opening hours as 10-5pm and although we stayed for 5 days it was never open. We had a few queries and only a telephone  number to contact which was actually an answering service to the head office . Laundry facilities etc require pound coins and no where available for change. I contacted the head office number complaining about the lack of a reception service and received a very defensive somewhat aggressive reply even after I politely asked for my suggestion of making at least a small specified time for reception to be open to be passed on to the managers. 
Such a shame as this could be a great site but it lets itself down by the over usage of modern tech systems……what next Artificial Intelligence running the site.
No let’s have a human with a welcoming smile and the will to please.

Excellent caravan park

My husband and I stayed in one of the pods (pod 2).  I will start off by listing the positives of our recent stay:

1.  The pod was spotless
2. The pod was well equipped in terms of cooking appliances
3.  The holiday park itself was spotless and very well maintained
4.  There was adequate storage
5.  The holiday park is in a great location and is close enough to Aberdeen town centre but far enough away that you feel like you're in the countryside away from the city.

There were however some negatives we experienced in our stay which I will state below:

1.  The outside of the pod in the decking area isn't secure for dogs.  Now, we wouldn't allow our dog to do the toilet on the decking anyway - plus the whole point of bringing our dog was to take them out on regular walks etc however because the pod is so small, it would be better if you could open the patio doors to let loads of light and fresh air in however we couldn't do this due to the decking not having a gate or similar for our dogs safety.  We did visit in a more colder month however I can imagine if you were staying here in the height of the summer this could be an issue.  We did open the windows regularly however this didn't allow a lot of light in.

2.  For convenience, my husband and I paid £20 extra for the holiday park to provide bedding and towels.  We were very disappointed in what was provided.  The duvet was the thinnest duvet we have ever seen.  Bearing in mind the holiday park is in the east coast of Scotland and in the Scottish Highlands (or at least very close to it).  This was also in October and it was freezing.  The duvet cover provided was also fit for the bin and should have been thrown out a long time ago.  The buttons at the bottom of the duvet cover did not button up as they had already burst and it was extremely washed out.  We were also only provided with just one pillow each and they were flat.  The towels were also fit for the bin, washed out and were extremely thin.  We weren't even given a bath mat so had to use a towel.  My husband caught a cold on our first night due to being so cold with the lack of a duvet and that was with us putting the heating on intermittently.  This then put a damper on our stay as my husband was miserable with being ill and wanted to go home. 

A day into our stay my husband and I went to Aberdeen town centre and bought a 15 tog duvet, pillows, a duvet set and fitted sheet.  We should not have had to do this after paying £20 for the holiday park to provide it all.  The second night of our stay, we used our new bedding and it made such a difference having a warm duvet and extra pillows. 

3.  This is more of a mild inconvenience but still worth mentioning as it should be addressed by the holiday park.  The plug in the shower was clogged.  Whenever we used the shower the shower tray would fill up with water (like a bath) and it took a while to drain again.  I had to turn the shower off half way through shampooing my hair to allow the shower to drain the water or else the water would have spilled over the shower and onto the bathroom floor.  I suspect the shower plughole is full of hair and other debris from previous guests and therefore has to be deep cleaned thoroughly. 

4.  There was no lamp in the pod and there were only two plug sockets in the Livingroom, under the TV.  It would have been better if there was a lamp on the shelving area rather than having to put the main light(s) on and having even just one plug socket near the sitting/bed area would have made such a difference.  There was also cigarette burns on the couch which wasn't aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Would I recommend staying here?  Yes, however I would advise you to bring your own bedding and towels to avoid disappointment.

Good but not brilliant

Beware of hidden terms and conditions. Booked in to go here with family but didn't get to go. Wasn't until we were sent a welcome email 3 days before when we realised they don't allow anyone to sleep in the awning. 

We have a sleeping compartment that attaches to the side and one of our party members would have had to sleep here due to the caravan being a 3 berth. They indicated it was something to do with health and safety yet plenty of sites allow it so clearly not an issue. 

When booking, it doesn't clearly highlight they don't allow anyone to sleep in the awning when selecting an awning on their booking platform. You would need to read their terms and conditions before booking and come away from the booking process to do that. Even within their terms and conditions, it is hidden down near the bottom rather than near the top or within the section about caravans.

When we realised the issue, we called and emailed reservations to let them know and asked for a refund as we would have to go elsewhere.  

When we phoned the reservations team they were not interested. Passed it up to head office whilst highlighting we ticked the terms and conditions box and it was our own fault so they would not issue a refund. Part true but I feel the company is deceiving customers by not making something so important more prominent.

Multiple emails later and some pretty poor customer service from staff, still no email from head office despite reservations saying they would get back to us in 5 working days. 

We eventually emailed head office direct whilst copying in the email trail. Their response... a rubbish email trying to say we didn't read the previous emails correctly and that head office did reply. Yet all emails are from reservations and no indication that they are from head office. In one email, they specifically say head office will get in touch. Clearly they can't read their own emails. 

Their customer service from the company is shocking and we are down £130 quid. Won't even entertain this company going forward and would suggest everyone read their terms and conditions before booking. 

If they respond to this review, no doubt they will be all, oh but it's in our terms and conditions etc but key point is the poor customer service in our mind.

Shocking company and customer care and definitely won't be booking in the future. 

Beware of terms and conditions 

We booked a camping pod as a weekend treat before the weather turns too cold. We had a great time. The kids loved the pod (the boys are 5 and 7 years old). We took the dog as well and, again, it was fine for him too. The park is well kept and clean. The playpark is good as well. Very impressed! The only word of advice if you are in a pod or tent and need to use the facilities after dark is take a good torch as the park isn't well lit. Other than that just great, we'll be back next year I'm sure.

Glazing pod 4

This site is part of a larger group and we really felt they didn't want any contact with us. All the pre-arrival was arranged by email so we didn't have to go near the reception building. We were a little confused on arrival as the email told us to park our motorhome a certain way, but when we picked up a site map at the barrier it said something different. It said to park on the left of the pitch - is that facing the entrance to the pitch, or looking out when you're on it? There seemed to be a variety of interpretations among the visitors!  We did go to the reception to try to get some local info leaflets and although it was open the building had no lights on, making it seem closed as if they didn't want people to go in.
We were able to choose our pitch from the type we had paid for (fully serviced or standard) and we soon realised the problem of the layout. The park has "park homes" round the outside of the site, and within it the touring pitches form a horsehoe shape with the amenity block at the top. There are three "rings" of pitches. Human nature means people will always take the shortest route between two points and this meant that people on the outer two rows of pitches constantly cut across our (inside row) pitch to get to the block. Every few minutes someone was walking past our window instead of using the path round the rows. Very bad campsite etiquette!
The facilities themselves were OK. The water in the showers has a temperature adjustment but it fluctuated from too hot to too cold on its own. And the time allotted for each push of the button was too short. 
We were given  a code for the free wifi but we couldn't make it work on any of our devices (I-phones and windows laptop). 
The motorhome facilities are pretty good; there is a drive-over drain for grey waste but the only drinking water tap for use by those on the standard pitches is on the other side of the serviced pitches. Someone didn't think out this site's layout very well!
If you like cycling, follow the (fairly busy) road for about 1/4 mile and then you can cycle straight into the city centre on the disused railway which is now a well paved cycle route. There is a very nice cafe part way along it too!

Attractive, nicely maintained park but the layout is all wrong!

Book to stay on this caravan site for 2 nights with a hard standing fully serviced pitch witch was very overpriced for just 2 nights as we payed £64 , I didn’t even get to put my caravan on the pitch as we left just 20 minutes after arrival as one off the male staff was so rude and aggressive. 

When I called to book on the caravan park they asked me what was my vehicle registration and the make off my vehicle witch I explained on the phone I was in a van that my husband was towing are caravan with & was doing some contract work while we was staying up here when I arrived on site they was a notice on the wall saying NO CONTACT VEHICLE’S

They was no one in sight when we arrived to show us what pitch we was supposed to be staying on all we got told was “ there is an map in you’re emails use it to see what pitch you can choose to stay on “ 

As we drove down to one off the pitches we was going to be staying on we tried reversing on the pitch but unfortunately they was other customers vehicle’s in the way so unfortunately we couldn’t reverse so my husband pulled in with he’s van first and went on the grass a little bit , A male that worked there come speeding down toward us and got out he’s vehicle and started being very rude and aggressive toward’s my husband saying that “ HE CAN NOT PUT HES CARAVAN IN THAT WAY IT HAD TO BE REVERSED IN “ my husband then explained that he could not reverse in due to the other peoples vehicle on site was in the way , he then stared staying that either way he is going to have to move it and reverse in if not he will reverse it in for him 
( if he hit our caravan off the vehicle that was in the way of us reversing on the pitch is he going to pay for the damage ? No he is not! 

We then decided to leave the caravan site as I called the office and explained my case we did not get an apology or anything then again they was still being so rude on the phone & said my refund will be with me in 5 working days ? 

I would NOT RECOMMEND this caravan site at all maybe if the stay was abit more politor they might get more customers !
