The B&B was amazing, beautiful setup and views out to the back. Yvonne and Graham are wonderful hosts and do a great breakfast with plenty of choose and great knowledge of the area. Room was spacious and comfortable and clean along with the bathroom area. Shall definitely come here again when in this area again

Superb 

We stayed in the fabulous silver room with a very comfortable four poster bed, tv, tea/coffee facilities and biscuits, wine glasses, a mini fridge with fresh milk and water. The en-suite had a great shower and a bath (shampoo/conditioner and soap provided) and beautiful views of the Derbyshire countryside. The full English breakfast was great, especially the poached egg which was cooked to perfection 😃. Yvonne & Graham, the hosts, have considered what makes a good B&B and have gone beyond to make your stay exceptional. Highly recommended. 

Fabulous B&B!

After a very stressful day and being marooned ( tanker driver out of hours) I was booked into Slayleigh for an overnight stay.
On arrival I was welcomed by Yvonne ( owner) and shown to my room. 
The stress melted away instantly.
Beautiful room,absolutely everything spotlessly clean,generous drink facilities including a mini fridge in the room,also the electric fan was very much appreciated in the hot weather. 
Yvonne went above and beyond the call of duty making me a pack up sandwich for the following morning as I was leaving before breakfast. 
Many thanks for a chill out stay,I slept like a log in the very comfortable bed.

Last minute stay.

We had a very nice one night stay , booked last minute as we were supposed to be in Eastbourne. So glad we found this . Yvonne and Graham were very friendly, nice breakfast. Best bit was the hot tub and the friendly cat. Would stay again and definitely recommend..

Hot tub , friendly cat

Yvonne and Graham are the loveliest and most welcoming of hosts. Within a short time we felt as though we had known them for years. The room was clean and comfortable and despite being alongside a busy road was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was first class and plentiful. We did find that the en suite was a bit restricted but in fairness Yvonne and Graham have made the best use of the available space. We will certainly stay here again the next time we visit this part of the country.

Booked Slayleigh for a suprise for my wifes birthday. We never get time away on our own without the children so this was much needed and it did not disappoint... Yvonne was so welcoming and friendly. You could not ask for more. Room was clean and the bed was soooo comfy. Yvonne even put up a birthday banner in the room and there was a birthday card waiting for my wife when we arrived.

I booked the hot tub for us for an hour which was amazing. We only did about 45mins because we got too hot and sleepy lol. We went out into Matlock for some drinks and food. Would defo recommend going to the Mad Hatter and Tipsy Toad. Amazing cocktails and they are very generous on the alcohol.

In the morning we had a lovely fresh breakfast which was much needed to cure our sore heads.

Literally could not have asked for more. Thank you for making our stay extra special.

Amazing, Friendly, Welcoming 

First I would like to say how friendly Yvonne and her husband Graham are ,I phoned in advance to book the hot tub, and wot a hot tub it is! 
On arrival we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes shown to our room which is nicely decorated with a small ensuite and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in 👍😀 we are now looking to buy a new mattress .
We got settled in then had an hour in the large hot tub with a bottle of bubbly and were greeted by the cat, we then went to a pub recommended by Yvonne just 10 minutes walk from the b&b for a meal and a few tipples, I can highly recommend the hanging skewers then returned to have a wonderful night's sleep.
Breakfast the next morning was amazing cereal, fresh orange, bacon sausage mushrooms grilled tomato beans toast and probably the best poached egg I've ever eaten well done Graham and a fresh pot of tea or coffee and the home made plum&lime jam mmmmm , followed by some hilarious stories from Yvonne (Peter rabbit and Tommy tucker) 🤣🤣🤣 .my wife and I then went out for the day lots to see and do in the surrounding areas. Returned to a freshly cleaned room and had a few drinks and a few more 👍 followed by another great sleep, breakfast was as good the following morning consistency is a must thumb's up to Graham again. 
Yvonne mentioned she's in the pipeline for buying a camping and fishing area soon with her own stretch of river I might have to give it a visit in the summer I will be ringing to find out more info,

Best b&b I've stayed in 

Stopped at this lovely B&B for one night on our visit to Matlock .When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and we was shown to our room .The room was stunning with a four poster  bed and a lovely bathroom with a great shower .A nice touch was the biscuits in the room to go with your tea and coffee  The hosts were very helpful with a lot of knowledge of the area and booked us a table for an evening meal 5 minutes up the road ..In the morning we had a lovely breakfast .Which set us up for the rest of the day . Would definitely return if we are in the area .highly recommend 

Lovely one night stay

Yvonne and Graham are very welcoming and considerate hosts. The location is convenient for Matlock - walking distance - and the rooms are soundproofed and quiet. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is very good - Yvonne offers very good jams and so on that she has made herself and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I had a most enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

A relaxing and enjoyable stay close to Matlock

Yvonne warmly welcomed us and showed us around. We stayed in Room #1 which is at the front of the house and has a lovely separate private bathroom which faces the rear with a window looking out to the rolling hills. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh towels, shampoo and soap were beautifully presented on the bed. My husband enjoyed the chocolate biscuits and the fresh milk and cold water in the room’s fridge was appreciated. 
A short 4 minute drive took us into Matlock where we ate at  Stones Restaurant. It was the best 3 course dinner we have ever eaten (book well in advance!!) 
The full English breakfast was a treat too! Beautifully cooked, hot and plentiful. Gluten free options are available. 
Our only regret is not booking at Slayleigh for 2 nights.
