A beautiful home run by Jean and Mike. Lovely comfortable accommodation. Fabulous breakfast. Jean and Mike's welcome is warm and friendly. Perfectly placed between two good pubs and for exploring and walking on Exmoor. Highly recommend.

Break on Exmoor

The welcome was great when I arrived....tea or coffee with biscuits. The room, in fact the whole house, was spotless and well appointed. 
Breakfast was a choice of full English with a vegetarian option, smoked salmon and scramble eggs or smoked haddock with poached eggs, along with the usual fruit juices, cereals and toast. All superbly prepared from locally sourced products .
Will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough.

Great little Guest House 

My Boyfriend and I have just returned from a glorious 3 night stay here. Jean and Mike are the most hospitable hosts you could hope for. They made it feel like a second home for us and were more than willing to give advice and service where needed. They run an excellent establishment and a beautiful area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large and spacious. We stayed in the Lavender room which had an excellent bathroom and gorgeous shower. The breakfast was exceptional. There were any options depending on what you fancied and it was made with fresh ingredients which I am.sure were sourced locally. I want to thank Jean and Mike for making a much a needed holiday both relaxing and carefree.

Fantastic 3 night stay

We stayed at this delightful B&B for 2 nights only but were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Jean and Mike (including taking over their lounge to watch the football!). The room had everything we needed and the breakfast was top rate. The location is ideal for exploring Exmoor (with some fabulous walks directly from the property) and the coastline above it. There are a couple of nice pubs in the village which serve food in the evening with plenty of others within a short drive. Overall..excellent!

2 night stay

We had the best time and we where very well looked after by Jean and Mike, exceptional breakfast and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. We had an early start one morning and Jean packed us up and made a flask so we didn't miss out, thank you both for making us so welcome and making us feel like we were spending time with friends, we will certainly stay here again without any hesitation  😊

Great B&b in a perfect location in the centre of the village with views over the green. Jean gave us a warm welcome and all COVID precautions were in place. Our room was lovely with bath robes and lovely toiletries. The breakfast choice was really good and the full English we chose was well cooked and delicious. There were two good pubs in the village which served excellent food and good walks from the door. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a cosy relaxing few days away. We will definitely return.

Home from home

We had a really great, long weekend. Can’t fault the hosts. Room and breakfast we’re fantastic. Lots of ideas given on places to visit. Would definitely recommend. Shall go back again. Definitely 5 stars from us.

Fantastic

We stayed for two nights, and liked our hostess from the start.  The feature we enjoyed most of all, was the breakfast.  It was as good as they come - and the top standard these days is impressive.  
An unexpected pleasure was the back garden, which looks out over the village green.  In the distance you can see traditional swings, and several more modern and exciting machines for youth to experiment on.  After a strenuous day, it was nice to relax with this view, before strolling over to either of the two pubs, which offer good food and drink.

Very enjoyable

Great location in Exford overlooking the village green. Both of Exfords pubs within strolling distance. Wonderful B&B with equally wonderful owners. Jean is a treasure. Nothing is too much trouble and she always has time for a chat despite a busy schedule. 

Faultless

We wished we had planned for a longer stay. Our host was most welcoming with plenty of good advice when asked. Parking was in the street and no problem with a village car park close by. We tried both pubs at each end of the village for our dinners both good. Our room and bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast consisted of fruit and cereals, toast and jams, tea /coffee fruit juice and a breakfast of smoked haddock, mushrooms eggs and toast. We would like to thank the host here again for a memorable stay.
