Stayed in Number 2 McAdam House, with a master bedroom with EnSuite and a twin room with family bathroom this apartment is perfect for couples and small families. It is perfectly situated in the pretty village of Moffat with good links to the centre belt cities and all the local countryside and walks. The apartment itself is well presented and well kept. It is a good size, quiet, modern and clean. The host were also friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace is a lovely addition if you are lucky enough to get good enough weather to make the most of. I would recommend anyone who is looking to book and also stay again myself.

Number 2 lovely for couples or small families.

We stayed here for 6 nights in the middle of july,it was easy to find,inside had everything that you would need for a week away,the bed was so comfy,the cottage is on a sort of main road but it didn't bother us,we slept with the bedroom window open,we sat outside a couple of times as the front is a nice wee sun trap,parking was not a problem,it was right outside....you are literally a 2 minute walk around the corner and you are in the town centre (a lovely wee town with lots of little shops)..we enjoyed it so much we are coming back in August.

A cosy stay

I rented both cottages over Christmas with my brother. Our families were very comfortable . Both apartments are very well appointed. Very clean and well thought out. Well priced too. The only drawback is flat 2 downstairs has no decent view. Saying that it is an excellent place to stay we will be back 

The best place to stay in Moffat

What a fabulous little cottage! We came from Australia and stayed from 29th August til 1st September 2015. Upon arrival we were met by Mike, one of the owners, who showed us around this beautifully appointed cottage. It comprises an open plan kitchen lounge area downstairs with very tasteful furnishings and clean modern kitchen with all new appliances. The fire was blazing and it was immediately warm, cosy and inviting. Upstairs was light and airy with a queen size bed, bathroom and bath with a spa, plus ample cupboard space. As we are two friends we easily converted the downstairs sofa into a comfortable queen bed at night. It is full of very clever design features from automatic stair lighting to the spa in the bedroom.  During the day we had fun exploring the beautiful countryside with Dumfries, Galloway and Kirkcudbright ( Broughton House) all close by. We would love to come back for another visit some time and have already recommended it to friends and family. Perfect!!

The Wee Cottage In Moffat Southern Scotland

Biker Friendly cottage with secure parking for the bike. Would and have recommended this cottage to all of my mates.

The roads are empty, with sweeping corners and awesome views. The ride to Hawick to see the Jimmy Guthrie/Steve Hislop displays in the Museum is a must in my book.

The beautifully finished cottage is finished to a high standard, with Sky TV (with surround sound), Wireless, a Wood Burner and central heating. What more could you want ... oh!  the 4 poster bed and a bath in the bedroom for romance .... Awesome :-)

Most Excellent :-)

we loved the McAdams House.  We stayed in the larger Apartment 1 and were really impressed with the high standard of finishes in the apartment.  It was comfy, large, warm and perfect for a family or larger group to stay in.  The owners were incredibly helpful and could not have given better service.   We happily used Moffat as a base from which to explore local walking tracks, waterfalls, castles, museums, historical sights and the cities of Dumfries (20 mins) Glasgow, Edinburgh & Carlisle (all about an hour away).  Moffat, only a mile off the motorway is a beautiful little village, and with the central location of the McAdams House, we were able to take best advantage of the pubs, restaurants and cafe's, which were all only a short walk away.  Under the apartment was a fantastic interior shop and Brodie's cafe which are also both excellent.  We will be booking McAdams House for our next trip to the area.

Excellent family accommodation

Stayed in The Wee Cottage for a week in April and were absolutely thrilled with it. We didn't want to leave and have already booked to go again. Every bit of space has been utilised and the cottage is full of clever design features, from the bath in the bedroom to the automatic stair lighting and many more. Fabulous.

Fabulous holiday cottage

This cottage is beautifully furnished and set up as a self catering cottage with 'high end'/luxury decor and appliances. There was a log fire with logs.  The bedroom upstairs had a comfy bed with good linen. We had a few problems with the heating (controlled from next door and they weren't there!) and also there was no guest information on how to work some of the appliances. I found an a4 sheet shoved in the back of a drawer explaining how to work the cooker. No remote for the Dyson heater. Parking is on-street. We found the road noise disturbed us -although it quietened down overnight. it is in a convenient location. 
Moffat has a good selection of shops and places to eat for a small town, convenient for the M74 (A74M)
Sadly what should have been a fabulous end to our tour of Scotland was disappointingly average.
