We stayed in our vans on the car park. Rang ahead to check it was ok and to book a table for food. We had the best welcome from the staff and had a table right in front of the fire which was brilliant as we just had a wet and cold walk. The food was delicious, and our doggies loved the fuss from the staff. We will be back soon and hope that the village cat is nicer to my whippet next time. Haha. His nose has healed now. 😀

Delicious food, staff great, warm welcome

Stopped here in our campervan last night and had a delicious bar meal and a couple of drinks in front.of a gorgeous fire. Staff were lovely and friendly and really made us feel welcome.
Lovely old pub with loads of character.Would definitely return again.

We had an overnight stay and an evening meal at The Raven. We found it to be good value for money. We have stayed in many country pubs in the past but this was the first community run pub, in most respects you really wouldn’t know the difference, this doesn’t feel like it’s run by amateurs, which it isn’t, the staff, although largely volunteers are clearly experienced and very professional. With, in my opinion an added boost of enthusiasm which comes from it being their pub. The room we stayed in, was on the small side, but clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the church.
We had a two course meal which was better than average pub food. There was also a good selection of local beers. Overall a lovely experience.

A pub the community can be proud of

Lovely community pub with very friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Great home cooked food, delicious chicken breast special main course followed by excellent sticky toffee pudding. Plenty of choice behind the bar too!

Every village should have one. 

Lovely community run pub in the village - this has become our new local when we are visiting the area! We love the food and always have brilliant, friendly and attentive service. Cosy, quaint atmosphere and decor. Dog and baby friendly. Always accommodating. Varied menu, particularly recommend the Sunday Roast but whatever you choose you’ll be pleased with. Excellent quality and great value. Highly recommended.

Lovely food and excellent service

Just had the most lovely family meal all the family could not fault the food or service would definitely come again.did not expect the quality of food to be so good . Definitely not your average pub meal it was beautiful and would highly recommend this pub for food

Family meal

Stayed in this friendly pub in a beautiful part of Wales and can highly recommend it.  We had the room with self-catering facilities and it was excellent.  There is a full kitchen so you could cook a roast dinner if you wanted to!  The bed was comfy, it was very clean, there was no noise from the (fairly ) full bar downstairs and there was a continental breakfast in the fridge for the morning.  Just a few steps away there is a community-run shop where you can stock up on any essentials you have forgotten.
The pub serves good beer and the customers are very friendly.
Higly recommend this for a lovely relaxing stay.

Lovely community-run pub

Greeted with a warm welcome, dog friendly which is a bonus for us! 
The food was utterly delicious, all homemade . We had the sausages and cheese fondue to start - amaze! Pie and hot dog for main, huge portion size. Sticky toffee pudding to finish. All really good. Great drinks also! We’ll definitely be back!

Proper good pub grub!

Ordered roast beef lunch, as I seen the veg was communal share between the table I asked for my veg separate as I can not do shared veg. I was refused, staff was rude towards me, I explained I can not share my food like that and was told that's how iys done and there is no other option but to have shared veg

Our first visit to the Raven, which will not be the last. Warm welcome, warm pub, and a very good, ample and hot Christmas meal. We needed to order in advance, as the Raven is a community run pub and needs to avoid waste....which always impacts on price. This was a bit more work upfront, but as we are much more used to ordering/planning/booking ahead due to the pandemic, it was a minor inconvenience and with two small children in the party it speeded up the delivery.
