Called in for a quick drink today, Friday 20 September.  The barman was exceptionally welcome and friendly as were all the drinkers.
The place was clean, tidy and the Moretti Lager was perfect. Even though we had a couple of boisterous Beagles with us, nothing was too much trouble. They were even treated to some snacks from behind the bar. Absolutely our favourite pub on our visit to West Wales.  Definitely recommend...

Proper pub Menu Four of us were stuffed to the rafters with various items off the menu 
shouldn't have had the  pudding as  that's a meal on its own .. would highly recommend as its a good old fashioned pub with a great atmosphere..

This was a great find . So peaceful , staff are brilliant ,rooms are clean and good decor . Great choice of food also . Convenient  for visiting Pembrokeshire. Really relaxing for a short break . Beautiful garden area and lovely stream . Excellent.

Great Find

Lovely staff, reasonably priced and tasty food, spacious rooms with all the usual amenities and a comfy bed. That's all I need from a hotel - and this is exactly what I received. We plan to visit that part of Wales again as soon as we can, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Reading the previous reviews, what do these people want for £80 a night with breakfast.The hotel room is big,with a large bathroom and excellent shower.The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere and the .meals we had were good value and tasty.The staff were very friendly and an added bonus all of them spoke Welsh.Being a Welsh speaker myself it was so nice to hear our mother tongue .Would u stay again, definitely, Yes.

The room was spotlessly clean and the shower (over the bath) was very good but the room was quite tired and basic and the mattress had definitely seen better days. For a very basic room at not a cheap as chips price you might expect a more ‘all out’ approach to other areas of the stay but unfortunately everything was cut to the minimum - the breakfast was small, 1 of everything, even the toast and butter! The continental was also very basic, with the fruit offering as 1 banana and 3 apples between everyone! 

We arrived mid afternoon after a long journey and tried to order the bar snacks advertised on the bar, chips etc but were told no food was served until 5.30pm. This meant we were unable to eat before heading to our function - there is nothing within walking distance where you can grab food so you have to drive to find a shop.  The beer was really good and well kept - the drinks were also really reasonable in price but the inability to provide food lets down the pub when there are no viable alternatives. 

The bed did feel quite damp and there is the slight smell and ambiance of an old people’s home, and at checkout no one was to be found so we left the room keys on the bar, which was a bit odd.  Overall it was an average stay, staff did help with booking a cab but value for money just wasn’t really there, at a 3* rating it is supposed to be on par with a Premier Inn but the standards are poles apart.  So overall it was ok but needs updating and some love showing to the b&b side of the inn,  we probably wouldn’t stay again as the mattresses have definitely had their day and the breakfast was underwhelming.

Seriously needs a refurburbish with a vision to please customers .


Good food and service but unacceptable accomodation

Have used this Inn many times over the years. They allow us to stay in our motorhome overnight on their car park, in return we have meals and drinks. Staff always welcoming and friendly. There is an added benefit of a laundry room with large machines to get your mid holiday laundry washed and dried. Self serve machines, but you do need to take your own laundry liquids as there are no vending machines. We set the machines running then go and enjoy a meal, food has always been good and this year the Thatchers Gold went down really well. The Inn is only a short drive to Newport Sands, a lovely bay with toilets and cafe, but as from this year on beach parking has been banned. Still a great beach to visit though with shallow slope so good swimming and life guards present as well. All in all a great Inn in the wonderfully name village of Felindre Farchog.

Many great visits here

Arrived very late off the ferry from Rosslare, and the hotel kindly arranged for us to have a very late check in. Very pleased with large comfortable room. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Staff very pleasant.

We were told about this wonderful pub by owners of the Dyfed Shire Horse Farm campsite, down the road. The car park was very spacious, the hospitality was excellent and the food was brilliant. We also had a well behaved dog with us. This is probably one of the nicest pubs I've been to, with a very pretty beer garden, backing onto the River Nevern. We'll definitely be recommending to family and friends and look forward to returning one day.
